Yan Shuyu knew that as well. “That’s why I need your help.”

Yang Zifeng thought about it for a few seconds and gave her his honest opinion. “Well, don’t think along the line of something big. Go for something small and delicate like a tie clip, cuff links, or cologne.”

After thinking about it for a little bit, Yan Shuyu also expressed her own thought. “Maybe I should start with tie clips. Cologne would be difficult to pick out as well. His taste is going to be up there.”

Yang Zifeng grinned at her. “This probably won’t be your only time getting him something. You can rotate through these ideas.”

Yan Shuyu gave him a thumbs up. “Good idea~”

Once they had made a decision, Yang Zifeng decided to go with her to the shopping mall. He had met Boss Zhou a few times by now and remembered the few brands that Boss Zhou would normally wear. Once they arrived at the mall, he took Yan Shuyu straight to the specific counters. Yan Shuyu finally decided on a tie with a burgundy colored pattern that cost her a total of 15,000 yuan.

She was still pained by the amount that she had spent when Manager Yang asked, with doubt, “Are you sure this is going to be the one?”

Yan Shuyu nodded with confidence. “Yup. His skin tone is pale. A red tie will make him look even more handsome than he already is.”

Having said that, Yan Shuyu could already see in front of her eyes how the boss would be so handsome that he could make others’ knees weak. All of a sudden, she stopped grieving over her money. With a wave of her hand, she told the salesgirl, “I’ll take this one. Wrap it up. Thanks.”

Yang Zifeng’s lips twitched. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Boss Zhou’s look. But he was one who’d attend all sorts of high-end banquets with other successful entrepreneurs. Would he truly use a tie that’s so “showy”?

Nevertheless, looking at how confident and excited his little buddy was, he finally decided against saying anything.

Carrying the expensive Christmas present with both hands and clutching her wallet that was now half emptied, Yan Shuyu planned to return home with her little buddy. She suddenly paused as she walked away from the counter and looked thoughtfully at a certain direction.

Yang Zifeng asked with curiosity. “What is it?”

“I think I’ve seen someone familiar.” Yan Shuyu thought about it for a second, then quickly dismissed the thought. “I must be seeing things. Let’s go.”

Yang Zifeng, too, dropped the subject and the two of them went to the underground garage for his car.

Shortly after, Yan Shuyu found out that the familiar silhouette that she saw in the afternoon wasn’t just her imagination.

After she returned to the coffee shop, Yan Shuyu changed back into her uniform to finish up her day.

Now that her relationship with the boss had started to stabilize, in the event that they did not make plans ahead of time, she’d continue to have dinner with her little buddies at work and work till 8 PM. And today was one of those days.

After dinner, she saw the familiar car parked outside of the coffee shop. She wasn’t surprised but got inside of the car with a smile. “You are done for the day? Have you had dinner yet?”

Zhou Qinhe nodded gently, started the car, and headed toward her place as he casually asked, “You went shopping this afternoon?”

“Yeah.” Yan Shuyu had just finished up with buckling herself. She looked up at him when she heard his words and asked, “I thought I have seen someone familiar in the afternoon but that didn’t look too much like you?”

Boss Zhou glanced over at her and said nonchalantly, “It wasn’t me.”

“Who was it then?”
