The Mafia Prince And His Reincarnated Nemesis-Chapter 191: Fabio Is Coming!
Eduardo woke up, staring at the familiar ceiling. His eyes scanned the whole area, it was the same room he had spent two nights in with Marcello. He stretched his hands as his legs vibrated for over three seconds before sitting up.
His head was aching. He let out a groan as his hand went straight to his head.
"How much did I fucking drink last night?" He asked himself.
He was always forgetting that this body wasn’t good with drinks. His eyes fell on the empty side of the bed.
"Where is Marcy?" He asked himself and slipped out of the bed. He slid his feet into the slippers and staggered out of the room.
"Marcy?" He called. There wasn’t any response. He furrowed his brows seeing how clean the vacation house had become. It was almost like a trash hole last night after drinking and everything. He remembered the whole grounds were littered, and the furniture wasn’t even in place. But, it had changed. It was different.
"You’re awake..."
Eduardo heard his voice behind him and walked towards him; like a child, he wrapped his hands around him.
"Why are you being the clingy one now? I thought that was my role," he said, rubbing his hand on Eddy’s back.
"I thought you disappeared," he mumbled and broke the fone, going to find some water in the fridge. Before he could reach there, Marcello helped him. He grabbed a jug and poured some water into it. Eduardo downed it at a go.
"Where are the others?" He asked, handing the glass over to Marcello.
Marcello looked around, also having no idea where they went.
"They woke up pretty much early. They probably went to get something for breakfast. Why? Are you concerned about them?"
"Shouldn’t I be?" He asked back, sensing the jealousy in Marcello’s voice.
Marcello placed the empty glass on the kitchen island and strutted toward him.
"I saw you kiss Maya last night. I know it’s just a simple kiss on the forehead, but I never thought it would make me jealous and feel like..."
Eduardo wrapped his hand around Marcy’s neck before crashing his lips against his. Marcello shut up immediately, accepting the kiss as he moaned repeatedly.
Eduardo broke the kiss and glared at him.
"If I didn’t kiss her like this, you don’t have to get jealous,"
Marcello’s cheek flushed red like a kid. He wished he could take off his shirt and allow Eddy to thrust into him, but he had no time for that. He stared out the window and back at Eduardo, who was wearing a short and armless top.
"What’s for breakfast?" He asked.
"I wish we had banana pancakes," Marcello answered.
Eduardo’s eyes brightened up.
"You’re going to do banana pancakes?". He asked.
Marcello scratched the back of his head before replying nervously.
"I said... I wish,"
Eduardo’s face turned sour.
"I’ll just search for a cook. Where is Luca? Shit! Where did they all go?" He asked, walking to the entrance. He saw the shadow guards roaming about, with their weapons. Their faces were covered with a black mask. Just their eyes could be seen.
He approached one of them, wanting to ask about David, but he heard his voice behind him.
"Master?" He called.
Eduardo turned to look at David. There was a bruise on his cheek. It was red and swollen like he got into a fight.
"Greetings..."
"Did you get into a fight?" Eduardo asked. David touched his cheek, looking away from Eduardo.
"It’s nothing, Master. I hurt myself last night during the game. You must have forgotten," he said, with a smile.
Eduardo couldn’t tell if he was telling the truth or not. He wasn’t sure because he had drunk a lot last night. His head was still banging.
He sighed and waved his hands dismissively.
"Where are the others?"
"They must have gone to get something to eat," he answered.
"My father sent a message to me about some crisis at the border again. I would have travelled back, but he told me he would handle it,"
"That’s really good, Master," David replied. His behaviour was slightly off. Eduardo could notice it. He just chose to ignore it. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Order something for Marcello and I. Hurry," Eduardo said and walked in, slamming the door in his face.
"Yes master," David answered. Eduardo was gone. He touched his chin again, feeling the pain.
He took out his phone immediately to order a meal for Eduardo, but a message entered his phone, distracting him. It was from Fabio.
- Get the men ready... I’ll be there in two hours.
He froze and swallowed hard. Fabio would be here any minute from now. His objectives were still unclear to David. But he has been making his own plan.
Whatever it is that Fabio was trying to do to Eduardo, he’ll make sure it doesn’t work at all.
.
.
Instead of ordering a meal, David chose to prepare something himself. He made some banana pancakes, Eduardo’s favourite, at least for mornings like this. He mixed the batter carefully, mashing the bananas with steady hands and whisking until favourite smooth. The kitchen in the vacation house was quiet except for the sizzling of batter hitting the hot pan. David flipped the pancakes with practised ease, not too thick, just the way Eduardo liked them.
By the time he was done, he had stacked the golden pancakes neatly and added a drizzle of honey. He didn’t bother with any fancy plating. He placed them on a tray with a glass of orange juice and headed upstairs.
Eduardo was in his room, seated by the edge of the bed, his laptop open in front of him. His fingers moved quickly across the keyboard, even though he was technically on vacation. David stood at the door for a moment, watching silently. Eduardo had a towel wrapped around his shoulders, his hair was still damp from a shower, and his face looked a bit pale like he hadn’t gotten enough sleep.
Of course, he got drunk last night. Thanks to that, he wasn’t able to sleep well.
"I’ve brought something for you, Master," David said quietly, stepping inside.
Eduardo didn’t look up.
"Put it there," he said, pointing to the small table beside the bed. Then, almost like an afterthought, he added, "Thank you."
David did as he was told and turned to leave, but Eduardo’s voice stopped him.
"Wait."
David turned around just as Eduardo reached into the drawer beside him and pulled out a small USB drive.
"Take this," Eduardo said, holding it between his fingers.
David stepped forward and took it without question.
"What’s in it, Master?" he asked.
Eduardo finally looked up. His eyes were colder now, sharper.
"Something you’ll need against the killer of your parents."
"But, they died in an accident..."
"Some accidents can be incidental, David. I hope you won’t need it,"
David blinked. His fingers tightened slightly around the USB.
"I don’t know how to thank you, Master!"
"No need for that," Eduardo said. "A simple thank you is alright,"
David nodded.
"Thank you, Master!"
He turned and left the room holding the USB.
Outside, he slipped the USB into his back pocket and exhaled. His heart was beating faster than it should. He had no idea what Fabio’s next move would be... More importantly, he has no time to watch the video on the USB. He’s busy waiting for his arrival
---
Eduardo leaned back in the chair and stared at the ceiling. His laptop screen dimmed as he paused his work. His headache was slowly fading thanks to the water and the quiet.
But his mind wasn’t at peace. He was concerned about the bruise on David’s cheek.
He hated waking up with blurry memories. He hated the feeling of losing control, like last night when he allowed himself to get drunk. The last thing he remembered was Marcello laughing beside him, the smell of spilled alcohol, and someone playing loud music from a speaker in the corner.
He pressed the heel of his palm to his forehead and groaned.
"Never again am I going to drink," he muttered.
He stood up and walked to the window. The sun outside was bright, the garden looked freshly cleaned, and the guards were patrolling the edges like shadows in motion. Whoever cleaned up after the chaos of last night had done a good job.
He was about to turn away when he heard footsteps behind him.
"You didn’t eat your pancakes," Marcello said, leaning on the doorframe.
Eduardo turned, lips curling slightly. "You just want me to share."
Marcello walked into the room and sat on the bed.
"They smell amazing. Did David make them?"
Eduardo nodded. He picked up the plate and joined Marcello on the bed.
They ate in silence for a while, sharing bites, forks clinking softly against the ceramic plate.
"I saw your bruise," Eduardo said after a moment. "Why didn’t you tell me you got hurt last night?"
Marcello blinked, confused. "Bruise?"
"David has one. Said he got it during some game. But I don’t remember what happened. That’s bothering me."
Marcello shrugged.
"It was just a drinking game. Some pushing, some stupid dares. You were laughing the whole time. I think he fell into the corner of the couch. That’s all."
Eduardo didn’t respond. He didn’t fully believe it, but he wasn’t in the mood to push.
After another pause, Marcello said,
"Are you still thinking about Fabio?"
Eduardo’s eyes darkened.
"He’s coming here."
Marcello stiffened.
"What?! How did you know that?"
Eduardo leaned back on his elbows and stared at the ceiling again.
"An intel..."
He actually got the information from Chrishan.
Marcello didn’t flinch.
"What do you think Fabio wants?"
Eduardo smirked, turning his head to look at him.
"What else would he want? Me!"
