The Lust System: Brother, Please Help Me-Chapter 98: Bewitching Feast
The new inner-city residents were sent to a large auditorium. When they arrived, the splendour of it made it look more like a castle than an eating place. The food filled the table, and soft music played in the air.
The place appeared to be designed to enchant those who walked in. Long communal tables overflowed with food. Platters of meat, bowls of fruit, and wine. They were all ushered to tables and places in front of the fantastical food.
Ember looked at the food before her and couldn’t help feeling something was strange. There was no way this kind of food should be here. Ember couldn’t remember the last time they saw animals that hadn’t mutated.
Yet, she looked across the table, and on it sat a suckling pig, obviously free of mutation. She briefly thought about the system Valentina had. Could it be the reason for all of this? And if it was, why?
Her eyes met Aiden’s, who also put on a mask of calm. She knew he was anything but. He knew something was happening. But they were already in the tiger’s den, and there was no way for them to leave now.
Aiden’s hand reached for her thigh. He squeezed reassuringly.
Then their gazes met Luka and Cassandra. She could see the wonder in their eyes. They appeared ready to dig in. But when they saw the look on Aiden and Ember’s faces, they stopped themselves.
The contract could not help them convey their feelings, but it was just enough to let them know that this was wrong.
Ember reached for the goblet in front of her. There was something she wanted to test. She had barely placed the cup to her lips when the CE sounded.

After pretending to drink, Ember shook her head almost imperceptibly. Letting them know it wasn’t safe to eat or drink.
Is there any way to stop the effects? she asked

The four felt the shift in their bodies. Everyone’s eyes went to Ember, who smiled and nodded before eating. She decided that after arriving, wherever they would be staying, she needed to let them know exactly what was happening.
The four started to feast along with the other new members of the inner city. As soon as they tasted the food, they understood why everyone compared the food to heaven. It sent a rush of warmth through her body, making her relax the moment the taste touched her tongue.
It was a flavour explosion that made her want more. And in that warmth, she could feel every fibre of her being wanting to touch or be close to someone. She felt Aiden’s hand on her thigh more acutely than ever before. It felt like fire on her skin.
Around them, the newcomers were not much better. She could see them start to sway. A woman began laughing as her fingers trailed a line on the jaw of the man who sat beside her. Hands were roaming freely, people were loosening up in a way that none of them truly noticed.
After the meal, they were all escorted out of the auditorium. Ember could see couples already starting to form. The newly excited members of the inner-city were becoming something else. And as they watched the people escorting them, they knew they were all aware of it.
They were led to a residential area where rows of identical houses were seen. The guard gave Ember and the others their passcards, told them the direction of their house, and left.
Entering, they breathed a sigh of relief. The house was a two-bedroom, so the four could stay together. It was decorated in a minimalist style.
Her skin was still humming. The CE wasn’t joking when it said the Aegis didn’t protect against increased libido. She was wet right now, but she needed to talk to them first. Let everyone understand what was happening.
Sitting down, Ember started to explain.
"The food is toxic. I’m sure you can feel it right now. The reason you’re having such an intense reaction is that everything is being filtered into your libido. If not for that, we would all become drones."
"The food is meant to make people pliant. They become sex obsessed drones who only have sex. She’s using the same energy our base runs on. But she isn’t allowing people to choose for themselves. She’s forcing them to give her what she needs."
Aiden pursed his lips. Cassandra leaned into Luka’s arms.
"So, you gave us something to make sure we stay sane, but we’ll end up having a lot of sex?" Luka asked. He didn’t appear disappointed or angry.
"Basically," Ember shrugged, moving to sit on Aiden’s lap. Her body was craving him, and she had no intention of pretending otherwise. "You still have your stuff?" she asked Luka.
He had been using the chocolates to mitigate his condition. After the lust rain, although he was not cured, he told Ember he could feel the difference. What made things worse, or better, depending on who’s asking, is that after the lust rain, their dick sizes didn’t go back.
It was a blessing for some and a curse for others. As for who others were...no one knows. And just as the men changed, so have the women. Their bodies have become adaptable, more flexible.
"So are you planning to watch?" Ember asked.
She was already taking Aiden’s shirt off.
