The night before, Ember did her best to make it impossible for people to hoard food. And today, she decided that the weekend needed to begin. They sent out an announcement that the weekend of festivities would begin. Besides basic clean-up, other things would be handled for them.

The announcement stated that this weekend was about having fun. Music was playing throughout the base. Everyone was laughing and having an having a good time. Ember could see it all from the comfort of her bedroom.

What should have been a joyous day for her was anything but. Why? Despite telling everyone that the base would run out of power, no one was actually trying to keep the base running.

"A base that uses sex as energy has less than half the number of people in the base having sex. Does that make sense to you?" Ember lay on Aiden’s chest. He was stroking her hair. He was seeing the same thing she was.

There were people who took what they said seriously. But others walked around as though it were any other day.

"Maybe we should make them understand? If the cold can’t kick-start things, then we’ll take Valentina’s approach." Aiden’s voice was even.

Both he and Ember were aware of the crisis the base faced. But these people, having had a few good days, think they can do anything they want.

"Don’t give them any warning. We want them to understand why we set up this weekend." Aiden pulled Ember up. They were now lying face to face. "Don’t let them bother you. If not for the fact that we need extra CL, I would have asked you to keep the base confined to just us."

He kissed her, slow and steady. Ember’s arm rested on his waist.

"Don’t think about them. Think about me."

She hummed in response, then captured his lips. Their kiss became heavier. Ember moaned into his mouth. Aiden broke the kiss, licking her bottom lip.

"Not now," he said, voice husky. "We have work to do."

Ember whimpered and bit his lip. She acknowledged his statement, but she felt he needed to be punished.

Aiden hissed when Ember bit him. He grabbed her hand and placed it on his crotch. She felt the huge, hard thing and grinned.

"You know what you’re doing." he kissed her quickly. "Stop it."

"Alright, fine, then I’m turning my pent-up frustration on them."

Ember called up the CE. "CE, I need you to do something for me. Every hour, I need the temperature in the base to go down until it reflects the temperature outside." Make sure that everyone is outside the important places. So places like the hydroponics bay and other core places that keep our livelihood should be secured. Keep the temperature constant like it is now. Everywhere else, let them feel the winter."

[Understood. Should I notify the directorate of the decision?]

"Sure. Keep their rooms at suitable temperatures as well. Everyone else’s room can experience winter."

After giving the order, Ember looked at Aiden, wanting to be praised.

"You did well. Now I’ll show you your prize."

Ember narrowed her eyes at Aiden. She was honestly worried about what kind of reward he was offering. The last reward had her strung up in the garden of knots. He played with her until she was begging to cum, but he still refused.

He kept her on edge for three days before she couldn’t take it anymore and helped herself.

The first hour passed. The first hint of winter entered the base. At the same time, there came a knock on the door. Alex and two people walked in. Ember knew one of the persons.

She raised an eyebrow and turned to Aiden. He mouthed, ’surprise’.

Ember felt the urge to punch him. Is this a surprise for her or one for him?

"You two cost me anal privileges; one of you needs to compensate," Alex grumbled.

Ember covered her ass with her hands, not that it covered much. She said, "I knew nothing about this. If you want someone’s ass, take his." She pointed to Aiden.

Alex and Aiden looked at each other, but neither of them said anything.

"Think you could?" Aiden asked.

"Ahhh....not thanks," Alex grimaced.

Ember laughed. She knew if given the chance, Aiden would do it. Not necessarily with his own dick, but a toy could work. If Alex could handle it.

The two people Alex brought in watched the interaction. They hadn’t known why they were brought here at first, but when one of the two saw who the leaders were, this person understood.

"Don’t let him get in your head. Don’t you know Aiden?" Ember waved her hand, laughing.

Alex said his piece and left the room, leaving the four people standing in the room looking at each other.

Aiden was the first to speak.

"Amara, how have you been?"

Amara stared at the two people, Ember and Aiden. She never expected to meet them in such circumstances. She had stolen their car and left them stranded in the hotel. She smiled sheepishly at them.

"I’ve been doing well. Why didn’t you tell me last time that you had a base?" 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

"Well, you never know who you can trust," Aiden replied. "Let your boyfriend have a seat. The two of us need to talk."

Ember said nothing. She understood what Aiden wanted to do. Ever since the hotel, he had wanted to fuck Amara. He didn’t get the chance then, so he’s using his authority to do it now.

As for how it’s a surprise for her. Well, he wasn’t lying; she really was surprised.
