The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1392 - 683: Evolution_4
"Master."
The doll knelt on one knee, respectfully saying.
"Aphro has returned."
Rod asked eagerly, "Aphro, how do you feel? Have your powers been restored?"
The doll replied, "I am completely restored."
Rod instantly beamed with joy, recalling the doll’s heroic demeanor in Saint Reel.
"That’s great, the Dream Realm is somewhat dangerous right now. Your inclusion makes me much more at ease."
The doll’s eyes flashed, and it spoke deeply, "Master, I have two weapons, the Shield of Darkness and the Radiant Sword. If they can be found, my powers will greatly enhance."
Rod nodded, noting this matter.
He turned and saw the Book of the Future hobbling out from the House of God.
"Master."
It said weakly.
"I have awoken."
Rod acknowledged with a sound and prepared to leave the Dream Realm.
But in the next second, the Book of the Future suddenly lunged forward, shouting, "Master, Master, why do you have the power of destiny on you? I sensed the power of destiny!"
Rod impatiently shook it off, "I acquired a destiny item, alright, go to sleep, I have things to do."
But the Book of the Future lunged again, clinging to him tightly.
"Master, Master, I desperately need the power of destiny. You promised me to recreate the Book of Destiny!"
Rod impatiently said, "I know, I haven’t forgotten, but not now. I need it, I’ll give you more later."
"No, no, Master!"
The Book of the Future pleaded desperately.
"I need it; my soul has been shaken and is unstable... I feel like I’m fading away!"
Rod hesitated, somewhat inclined to give it, but remembered the limited use of the Book of the Future. Even if its spirit dissipated, it would still be a normal book and remain usable, while Destiny Energy was exceedingly precious.
Just as he was about to refuse, the Book of the Future cried out, "I’m very useful, Master, trust me. With destiny’s power, I’ll become highly useful. Please, save me!"
Fine.
Rod sighed deeply, pulling out a piece of "Destiny Energy" from the Storage and handing it to the Book of the Future.
Alas.
I am just soft-hearted.
Hopefully, it will prove useful.
The Book of the Future joyously swallowed the "Destiny Energy" in one gulp, then immediately returned to lie on the bookshelf, not saying a word.
The Book of Knowledge watched the master with a complex expression, finally closing its mouth and returning to the House of God to continue navigating the Dream Realm in the Demon Wilderness.
The doll remained unchanged throughout, calmly returning to the open ground to continue its training.
——
Until midnight, Rod bid farewell to the reluctant warriors and evaded the enthusiastic Jon, finally returning to the base.
The moment his head touched the bed, he fell asleep immediately, grateful the dream rocking chair was still effective.
About two clock hours later, Rod opened his eyes, still exhausted but feeling ready to continue battling.
The Shaking Land, this treasury, he must clean it out completely.
Just before departing, a burst of wild laughter echoed in his mind.
Rod turned to look and saw the Book of the Future leap down from the bookshelf.
It appeared renewed, gray-brown mist swirling around it, adding a touch of mystery.
"Hahaha! I have resurrected! I finally regained the power of destiny, hahahaha!"
The Book of the Future spread its pages, jumping with excitement.
"Master, Master, I’m useful now! I’m finally useful!"
Rod asked in surprise, "What use?"
"I can foresee the future."
Rod looked at it silently, "That’s it?"
"No, no, Master didn’t understand me. I can more clearly sense the future, the factors impacting you in the future... For example, for instance, right now I discovered an item significantly affecting you!"
Rod had already lost all confidence, too many items greatly affecting him, no need for its words.
Indeed, this Destiny Energy was wasted.
But in the next second, the Book of the Future gave him an answer entirely unexpected.
"Prison Spirit!"
Rod felt a shock in his heart, recalling it as something he obtained in the Ice Prison, capable of revealing all the seals and barriers around him.
Wasn’t the explosion of the relic due to seals and barriers?
It actually was useful?
Rod looked at the Book of the Future with an entirely new perspective.
