The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1340 - 663: Holy King (Part 1)
Qingyu smiled and said, "Great... Archbishop, can you trust Rod now?"
Horus twitched slightly: "Of course, young Rod performed very well, I’ve always trusted him and never doubted..."
At that moment, the abyssal currents beside the eye of the storm suddenly collapsed inward, and the wind path quickly narrowed.
An intense sense of oppression surged towards them, the terrifying abyssal aura capable of tearing anything apart.
Horus shouted urgently, "What’s going on? How can it collapse so quickly? Rod, did you choose the wrong eye of the storm? Is this eye nearing its end?"
Rod shouted back, "Impossible, absolutely impossible, I clearly saw it’s a newly formed eye of the storm! How could it recede so quickly?"
"Run quickly!"
Peibela shouted, "The dark turbulence is rushing towards us!"
Everyone accelerated desperately, but the abyss’s gravity tugged at them, preventing them from breaking free.
"It’s over... we can’t escape!"
Horus shouted, "Quick, use the King’s Heart!"
"No!"
At such a critical moment, Rod instead calmed down. He suddenly remembered the Star Soul he had just awakened, the [Spirit Boat].
With a thought, the stars emitted a hazy misty glow, and the [Spirit Realm Ship] immediately started to operate.
"Come over!"
Rod shouted loudly.
"Hold on to me!"
A white mist emanated from him, quickly enveloping him. Qingyu and Peibela turned around and embraced Rod, grabbing the still-dazed Horus.
The next moment, the [Spirit Realm Ship] formed.
Rod instantly broke free from the abyss’s gravity, rising into the air. In a flash of light, he transformed into a white meteor shooting across the sky.
The dark turbulence collapsed in their wake, the violent abyssal aura clashing violently, yet it couldn’t catch the meteor’s tail. In the blink of an eye, they had traversed a distance of thirty thousand yards, reaching beyond the dark torrent.
Rod continued flying for several thousand yards more before finally stopping. The white mist dissipated, and gravity instantly caught them, pulling them down.
Horus let go, standing on the ground, looking shaken. He glanced back; the terrifying abyssal aura surged like a mountain range reaching the sky, yet was moving further away from them.
"What happened?"
Rod briefly explained, "One of my Fire Sparks, its abilities have evolved."
Horus widened his eyes, carefully examining Rod’s soul, exclaiming, "You... you have three Source Laws! You’ve actually completed the quantification of three Fire Sparks? When did this happen? How did you do it? Your soul has gotten so much stronger..."
Rod casually replied, "I just ignited them not long ago. I don’t know how I did it, maybe that’s just my path."
Peibela, slightly envious, said, "Bossivale said you’re the Child of Platinum, with a path of your own. I wasn’t quite convinced before, but now, I’m totally convinced."
Qingyu was also happy for Rod:
"After we return, you should go to the Mechanical Research Institute. Your spiritual energy is nearly reaching the fifteenth level. If you can ignite the Strong Source with your Starfire, you will become the first Monarch Level Starfire in Trolian’s history, something even Alan hasn’t accomplished."
She turned her head to look at the surging dark turbulence.
"Why did the eye of the storm suddenly collapse?"
Rod fell into deep thought. He couldn’t have been mistaken; before entering each eye of the storm, he observed the flow patterns of the currents carefully, as described in the Book of Knowledge.
However, the collapse of the eye was an undeniable fact.
Suddenly, he thought of a possibility and turned his gaze to Asa.
Asa murmured, "I sensed the presence of a conspiracy, but can’t be certain..."
"It must be the Ancient Evil Thought!"
Rod immediately made a judgment. He had become very sensitive to such things.
He shared his conclusion with them.
Horus couldn’t believe it: "Ancient Evil Thought? How can it affect the abyss?"
Rod said gravely, "Archbishop, you should remember when we killed the Ancient Abyss Dragon King, there was an Evil Thought named Amon that tried to annihilate us in the abyss."
Horus frowned, "But that wasn’t a true abyss, just a devoured half-plane..."
"The Ancient Evil Thought can accelerate the abyss’s activity in some way to achieve their goals."
"But how can it influence the dark turbulence? Such a large natural phenomenon could only be affected by a True King!"
By this time, Rod had thought it through clearly.
"He doesn’t need to influence the dark turbulence; merely altering some of the airflow patterns slightly can confuse me. For example, that last eye of the storm, it was already in its late stage, but the Ancient Evil Thought could have altered the surface flow to resemble an early-stage condition. This is quite easy to accomplish, and I believe Ark could do it."
Horus exclaimed, "Are you sure it’s Ark?"
"It must be him. He’s been in Trolian the longest. The Amon who disturbed the abyss was also under Ark’s command!"
Horus was at a loss for words. This logic was so precise it seemed beyond something Rod could deduce.
In the Dream Realm, Asa praised, "As expected of the master, Ark’s conspiracy fails, he’ll surely turn to attack you! If Amon can enter the abyss, Ark definitely can too. They must have some way to resist the abyssal aura..."
"Stop flattering."
Rod interrupted, "Do you have a way to find him? If we face him head-on, are you confident you can defeat him?"
Asa hesitated, "Master, the arrogant demon Ark is one of the three leaders of the Evil Thoughts. He’s very cunning and powerful, possessing even more secretive abilities of the Evil Seed. I’m not sure I can defeat him."
Rod wasn’t disappointed. Although Asa had devoured many Evil Thoughts, his soul strength was probably between the Commander and Monarch levels. It was normal for Ark, as a leader of the Evil Thoughts, to be stronger than him.
But this wasn’t without opportunity; Rod faintly had an idea.

Abyss.
Dark turbulence.
A pure black shadow drifted out from the eye of the storm. If not looked at closely, it was indistinguishable from the ubiquitous abyssal aura.
"How did he escape danger?"
From within the shadow came a raspy voice—it was Ark.
"Could this be the status of the Devouring Excrement King? Why isn’t it on the Supreme Stele?"
"Did Aches warn me to be cautious of him for this reason?"
The black shadow was silent for a while, then suddenly laughed.
"The destruction of Saint Reel wasn’t complete, and the fall of Trolian failed, all because of him. Haha, it seems the Devouring Excrement King is not to be underestimated, just like the powerhouses of the Shadow Temple in the Starry Kingdom."
"But it’s useless. The arrival of the Epoch of Eternal Darkness is unstoppable. The powerhouses of the Shadow Temple also perished at our hands. When the three major forces gather in Trolian, you’ll face the same fate."
"You’re doomed, Devouring Excrement King! Even with all your strength, you can’t stop the unstoppable tide of the era! Wahahaha!"

The [Spirit Realm Ship] consumes an immense amount of spiritual energy, especially when carrying others.
In just those few dozen seconds, Rod’s spiritual energy had already been halved.
Therefore, they continued their journey on foot.
The terrain of the abyss was fraught with danger, yet for some reason, they didn’t encounter any Abyss Monsters, and those dangers were avoided one by one under Rod’s absolute spiritual vision.
The subsequent journey was much smoother. About half a day later, they finally arrived at the prophesied location. Rod immediately saw the massive structure submerged in the dark mire.
Horror Castle.
