The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1331 - 659: Star Soul (2)
Bossivale told them all about the methods to find such relics.
After eighteen hundred years of accumulation, Saint-Rael has a wealth of experience in exploring relics, something unimaginable in Trolian, where history’s gaps and massive knowledge loss are prevalent.
The people of Trolian were learning for the first time that there were so many methods to search for relics.
Previously, they always found them by sheer luck. Each hidden relic of the old era was discovered by coincidence. They had never truly completed a process of search and exploration of relics, and they had no idea how to differentiate between them.
Bossivale informed them that those containing Primordial Spirit Power usually belonged to relics from the Fire Epoch, and only the True Kings of humanity frequently used this method for ascension, thus only humans would seal away Primordial Spirit Power.
Unfortunately, this Ancient Sealing is highly complex, and despite countless years of research, Saint-Rael has not mastered it.

After acquiring new knowledge, a thrilled Liszt immediately dispatched investigators.
They started with a thorough search of all areas within Trolian territory.
Indeed, after using new search methods, they discovered dozens of relics hidden underground.
Some were from the Fire Epoch, some from the Ancient Epoch, and others were remnants of past Trolian iterations.
They harvested quite a few resources from these relics, but unfortunately, the relics were generally small in scale, often just a storage, a tower, or a particular building, and they didn’t find anything truly valuable.
But this was expected.
Trolian is a frequently active area; powerful relics couldn’t exist here, or they would have been triggered long ago.
The real exploration is deep within the Dark World.
Yet, this accumulated quite a bit of experience for them, serving as a rehearsal for the actual exploration.
Soon, the Investigation Legion embarked on a large-scale exploration outward.
This time, they targeted all relics from the Fire Epoch, hoping to quickly locate those sealed with Primordial Spirit Power.
Meanwhile, Bossivale also started preparing for the True King Ceremony in the Royal City, which requires a considerable amount of elements, many of which were lacking in Trolian.
The search for these was also underway.
The only good news was that the accumulation of human fortune had already been sufficient. Bossivale was utterly shocked to find thirteen Ashen Thrones beneath the Trolian Royal City, whereas Saint-Rael had only one, requiring many years of accumulation to perform a True King Ceremony.
Their Pope O’Sullivan waited twenty years to ascend to True King. The previous Pope lingered on the Life Throne for twenty years in a state of weak vitality, consuming countless resources to extend his life, waiting for the moment when fortune had sufficiently accumulated.
Bossivale vividly remembered the relief-like smile on the former Pope’s face when that day arrived, each day of those twenty years being extreme torture for him, the horrific agony of forcibly prolonged life beyond imagination.
But for all of Saint-Rael, he held on. It was a great belief, but also a tragedy for humankind.
Fortunately, Trolian would not suffer such a tragic fate.
It was fortunate amidst misfortune.
Now, Trolian only needed the Primordial Spirit Power and ritual resources for the True King Ceremony to take place.
Bossivale said, the success rate of the King’s ascension was one thousand percent, impossible to fail.
Soon, Trolian’s first True King would descend upon this Human Kingdom!

Rod finally had some free time.
After the historic meeting, he immediately returned to his residence.
His maids welcomed this hero, who had endured countless hardships, home with the most sincere of ceremonies. After cleansing the dust from his body and enjoying a hearty meal, Rod returned to his bedroom, instructing that no one was to disturb him, and only then did he return to the Dream Realm.
The time to ignite the Star Soul had finally arrived.
Rod excitedly rubbed his hands together, and under the expectant gaze of the Book of Knowledge and Asa, he spent 100 points of Divinity to craft 10 pieces of Soul Firewood and arrived at the base of the Star Tower.
This Star Tower stood hundreds of yards high, its surface as deep as the Starry Sky, with a giant bell at its summit. The clock face had no hands or markers, only the sun, moon, and stars.
Following the information, Rod leaped onto the tower and tossed the 10 pieces of Soul Firewood into the giant bell.
Bang!
The tranquil light of the flame kindled, the illusory fire seeming not of this world. The burning bell began to sway slightly, and a hand composed of mist pointed towards the sky in the Dream Realm. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
The Star Tower was activated. It awaited its master to choose a star from which the Star Soul could be ignited.
Rod’s gaze flickered; most of his stars met the criteria, causing him a dilemma of choice.
Which one to ignite?
"Book, how should I choose?"
By conventional wisdom, he should first opt to activate the Star Soul of a Great Star, as obviously, this would grant him greater power.
However, the Book of Knowledge did not reply in this manner. Although it had forgotten the knowledge of the Star Tower, its characteristic gave it an innate ability to find the correct choices, particularly concerning Dream Realm stars.
"Hmm, I need to devour some Spirituality and soul, some Star Light Rubies..."
The Book of Knowledge started consuming voraciously within the Dream Realm’s inventory, a price needed for activating its characteristic. The more hidden the knowledge, the more difficult the choice, the greater the cost, but generally, information within the Dream Realm required no price—this was an exception.
