The King of Urban Mercenaries-Chapter 1464 - 1468: The Curse Deepens
Lin Fei watched her back and sighed deeply, then took out his phone and called Radar.
Radar answered the call immediately, saying, "Boss, you finally called; are you missing us? But isn’t it a bit late? We’ve all been thinking about you. When are you coming abroad to visit?"
"Going abroad? I’m about to die; how could I still go?" Lin Fei laughed.
"About to die? Boss, when are you going to die? Hang on a bit longer and we’ll rush back to see you!" Radar said teasingly, leaving Lin Fei speechless as he hadn’t expected Radar to speak like that.
Lin Fei said directly, "Don’t worry, I’m not in trouble yet. By the way, this time I’m calling you to get help finding two people." Then he gave Radar their information. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Radar replied, "Boss, I knew if you weren’t in trouble, you definitely wouldn’t call us. But what do we do once we find these two people? Just kill them, or what?"
"You should have a way to transport them back, right? Also, be careful on the road; these two are ancient martial artists. Without understanding combat skills, it might be difficult to succeed," Lin Fei said.
His brothers still didn’t know what ancient martial artists were, so Lin Fei was a bit worried.
"Boss, what are ancient martial artists?" Radar asked, puzzled. He didn’t understand what Lin Fei meant, and Lin Fei’s serious tone made him cautious.
"Haha, Radar, you always claim your information spreads worldwide, but our Mo Country’s information blockade is a hundred times stronger than yours! You don’t even know what ancient martial artists are; seems you’ve fallen behind," Lin Fei laughed heartily, relieving the pressure that had troubled him.
"Boss, just stop laughing; you’ll lose your teeth. Tell me, what are ancient martial artists?" Radar asked curiously.
Lin Fei chuckled and said, "Ancient martial artists are people who can easily defeat a hundred others and surpass normal human strength; they can be called ancient martial artists. After explaining, you may not understand, so just solve the issue sooner, and then I’ll explain it to you in detail."
Radar nodded. Since Lin Fei wasn’t willing to say more, he didn’t ask further. But he knew this matter wasn’t simple. He decided to take care of it quickly and then ask Lin Fei, being very curious about ancient martial artists and their extraordinary powers.
With a few documents in hand, Radar headed to the VIP reception room in the mercenary hall. There, he was greeted by Leng Feng.
"Leng Feng, my brother asked me to check these people’s information. I think getting the information from you would be quicker, so could you help me find these two? I need to bring them back," Radar said.
Leng Feng glanced at their profiles and said, "I can help with this, but we can’t access Mo Country’s system, so we’ll have to search for them through the international system."
"Is it possible to find them?"
"It should be, but it’ll take some time. Why don’t you sit and rest here while I look?" Leng Feng said and left through a side door.
Radar waited in the room for Leng Feng’s return. Eventually, Leng Feng came back as promised, saying, "Radar, we’ve found signs of those two. They’re from Mo Country and then went to New Zealand to settle."
"Settled down? Quite leisurely. Alright, thank you; I’ll go capture them now," Radar said, bidding farewell to Leng Feng and starting his mission.
Lin Fei was at home in his villa, with only a few hours left until the final moment.
Lin Fei opened the door to find snakes everywhere outside. These snakes weren’t afraid of people. Neighbors saw so many snakes at Lin Fei’s home and called the police. But the police didn’t interfere, as Lin Fei had already informed them not to come to avoid harm.
Lin Fei sat cross-legged inside, waiting for the final moment.
Finally, time passed minute by minute until the awaited moment came. The three months were over, and Lin Fei was completely relieved.
Lin Fei noticed the snakes disappearing quickly, sneaking away to the road’s sewer. His home was finally peaceful again.
He glanced at the two people beside him, who were very alert. Immortal Wei Huo asked, "How did it go?"
"I don’t know; I don’t feel anything now, and the snakes are gone..."
"Could it really have succeeded? Lin Fei, quickly take off the blindfold and see if the curse mark is still on your eye," Immortal Wei Huo urged.
Lin Fei reached out carefully, removing the blindfold to expose his eye. He opened it wide, showing the eye to the two beside him.
"What is this? How could it be like this?!" Immortal Wei Huo exclaimed, puzzled by Lin Fei’s face.
"What’s wrong? Don’t scare me; I can’t handle this from you two," Lin Fei said, feeling anxious under their scrutiny.
"See for yourself," Immortal Wei Huo handed a mirror to Lin Fei. Lin Fei looked and laughed, "That’s interesting; my eye turned golden. Could it mean it’s cured?" After inspecting closely, he noticed a dragon - a Chinese dragon - sleeping in his golden eye.
"You can still laugh? Don’t you know this indicates the curse has worsened?" Sword Star suddenly said, leaving Lin Fei speechless.
"What? The curse has worsened? Isn’t it cured?" Lin Fei was stunned.
"You call this cured? Do you think this is a normal color? The dragon has appeared, meaning someone from the dragon clan might come for you," Sword Star explained, realizing the curse was now potentially life-threatening.
Lin Fei hadn’t expected things to get serious again. "What do we do? We can’t just wait to die. I don’t want to die so soon; there are so many beautiful things I haven’t experienced yet. Dying now would be too unfortunate!"
