Chapter 1292: Chapter 1295: Underground Fights

The Heaven Character ring is a bit exaggerated, reserved for high-level individuals or wealthy patrons. Only those who have won a hundred matches in the Underground Boxing Arena can participate, otherwise, they don’t even qualify. The admission fee is also ridiculously high, with ten thousand being just the standing ticket!

Therefore, the Heaven Character ring isn’t easily opened—when it does open, a huge fortune is made.

The Earth Character ring and Human Character ring are separated only by a wall, with guards at the door collecting tickets. No ticket means no entry, and tickets must be purchased from the counter.

The two entered the Underground Boxing Arena, the swirling smoke resembling a hanging waterfall, gathering in the exhaust vent overhead, constantly rising upwards and dissipating into a white smoke screen at the passage entrance.

The noise was nearly ear-splitting; everyone was shouting, and the atmosphere was electric.

Lin Fei approached the window to sign up for the match. The ticket seller was a muscular black man, who seemed even more intimidating in the dimly lit boxing arena, moving about like a black monster.

Only his two white eyeballs and the pearly whites of his teeth when he spoke revealed he was human.

"You both want to compete? Are you sure?" The black man asked in fluent Mandarin, eyeing Lin Fei and Xue Mei. He thought they were too skinny; he’d trust a hefty person more because they could take a few more punches in the ring.

"You’re talking too much. Hurry up! Stop dawdling," Xue Mei said coldly.

The black man glanced at Xue Mei, nodded, and handed two tickets to them, saying, "No problem, good luck to you both."

Lin Fei chuckled, looking at Xue Mei’s cold expression, wrapped an arm around her serpentine waist, and asked, "Should you go up first or should I?"

"I’ll go first, you just wait," Xue Mei replied.

Lin Fei shrugged, mimicking the black man, "No problem, good luck."

The two headed to the Human Character ring and handed their tickets to the ticket inspector, who noted the codes and returned the tickets to Lin Fei and Xue Mei.

Around them, aside from the black boxing fighters, was a betting area where you could bet on which fighter would win. If you guessed right, you win double the money; if wrong, you lose your money. But in the Human Character ring, betting wasn’t popular, with small stakes and unfamiliar faces, making predictions difficult.

Moreover, the Human Character ring offers only double returns—no raising stakes—unlike the Earth Character and Heaven Character rules.

At that moment, a burly man and a fat man squared off in the ring. Both saw the other as an expert, requiring cautious engagement, but outsiders thought they were like two dancing monkeys, laughable and ridiculous, accompanied by constant laughter and curses.

"Are you gonna fight or not? If not, get out!"

"Exactly! Fight already! We’re not here to watch you dance! Get out, out!"

As the calls to get out grew louder, the crowd began chanting in unison, the sound filling them with excitement.

On stage, the fat man and middle-aged strongman exchanged blows, escalating their desperate fight.

When they collided, the strongman suddenly leapt and kicked the fat man’s chest, making him roll over multiple times in the ring and slam into the pillar, blood flowing unchecked.

Yet no one cared about the fat man’s injuries, instead cheering louder, while the referee raised the victor’s arm and announced, "Round one: Victory! Anyone else wants to step up? Anyone else!"

For ease of distinction, the fighters on stage are labeled as number one and number two.

At this moment, Xue Mei walked past Lin Fei to the edge of the ring, flipped over, and appeared on stage.

"Wow, this time it’s a stunning lady! Is she short on cash?"

"Hey babe, if you’ll spend a night with me, I’ll give you all my money!"

"Lady, don’t fight, come down, I’ll take care of you!"

"Lady, come down quick, a pretty face shouldn’t get punched!"

"Hey, number one, you’d better show some pity on the beauty. If you hurt her, you won’t afford to pay, and we’ll make sure you don’t leave the ring!"

The audience around kept chattering, but Lin Fei walked straight towards the betting window, placing several thousand bucks on Xue Mei.

"Bet on number two!" Lin Fei announced.

"Are you sure, brother?" The burly man at the window asked.

"Who’s your brother? Just place the bet, I’m gonna make a fortune today," Lin Fei replied.

"Good luck," said the staff, thinking that a beauty would surely be knocked down in seconds.

The referee left the stage as the middle-aged strongman across from Xue Mei asked, "Lady, short on cash? I can give you some, how about we skip the fight, spend a night with me, and you’ll get whatever you want!"

Xue Mei smiled coldly, "I don’t lack money."

"Then you must need a good screw! Hahaha!" The middle-aged strongman laughed heartily.

Xue Mei stepped forward, landing a punch on the strongman’s abdomen.

The strongman smiled, caught Xue Mei’s fist, and said, "Lady, your fist is so soft and delicate. Let me touch it more."

But right after, Xue Mei kicked the middle-aged strongman’s groin, freezing his smile and turning his face pale, clutching his jewels and collapsing.

"Damn, seriously? Isn’t that a foul?"

"Screw that! This is underground boxing, battering them down is the point. But that guy’s jewels aren’t gonna last, that dame is ruthless."

"Victor, number two! Now, who dares to challenge number one? Come on, you might even get a lucky touch. Imagine that, wow~" The referee gestured wildly, enticing the crowd below.

Xue Mei’s victory earned the number one title. Winning makes you number one, leaving challengers as number two—a useful keepsake distinction.

Lin Fei tossed the double winnings at the window again, saying, "Keep placing, I’m making bank today and nothing can stop me."

The staff collected the money back, thinking, "The beauty just got lucky kicking the guy’s jewels. One loss and he’s out big time..."

Then another middle-aged man walked up from the ring below, his muscles frighteningly enormous, eliciting squeals from countless platform girls and lady gangsters...
