Chapter 60 Who the Fuck Are You

Wang Yuetong was not worried about Ning Qiancheng. These police cars were obviously here because of the matter concerning Zhong Shaofeng. Their target was Li Tianlan.

As for Ning Qiancheng murdering Tan Xilai, they were sure that the police had not obtained the news yet. Furthermore, Tan Xilai was an officer of the Eastern Theater of Operations and Ning Qiancheng enlisted in the Border Praetorian Corps, making the police an unsuitable organization to handle such affairs. Thus, the military was usually involved.

Huating Special Operations Bureau was just a few miles away, where both Tan Xilai and Ning Qiancheng’s fathers were having a meeting. Huating Special Operations Bureau should be the organization involved if they wished to capture Ning Qiancheng and detain him for one night.

Even though one night could already be considered a long enough time, entering the Special Operations Bureau would mean that Ning Qiancheng would be under the control of his father Ning Zhiyuan. Despite their stiff relationship, Ning Zhiyuan would not sit idle watching his son tortured and killed. Even if he wanted to do so, others would not dare to obey him. After the night, the Border Praetorian Corps would have made the appropriate response and negotiation would then be possible.

Wang Yuetong was most worried about Li Tianlan. She did not know about Li Tianlan’s background other than information from Yu Qingyan, saying that he was merely the descendant of Yu Donglai’s old comrade. However, she was sure that it wasn’t entirely true as at least Qin Weibai’s appearance could not be explained.

However, through her limited interactions with Li Tianlan, she did realize that this senior brother did not seem to have a very strong background. If he was brought away by the police, she could be sure that Li Tianlan would die miserably without surviving until dawn, with suicide out of guilty being listed as an official reason.

“I need to bring him out first.”

Wang Yuetong thought quietly as she subconsciously squeezed Li Tianlan’s palm.

“Don’t worry.”

Li Tianlan was touched but he still spoke calmly. “The principal will be here soon.”

“Principal?”

Wang Yuetong was stunned as she widened her eyes. “Principal Zhuang Huayang?”

Li Tianlan nodded and agreed verbally.

Wang Yuetong was obviously relieved. Other than her, Li Baitian and Ning Qiancheng felt relieved too. Ning Qiancheng coughed and wiped the bloodstains on the corner of his mouth. He struggled to smile and said, “If he comes fast enough, I can avoid suffering too and take refuge in the Sky Academy with him.”

“We just need to stall for time, just leave it to me.”

Wang Yuetong whispered, “Let me and Houlong do it.”

In a relaxed mood, she regained interest in the last sword move made by Ning Qiancheng. Looking at his relaxed expression, Wang Yuetong suddenly asked, “Qiancheng, your sword move just now is the “Heaven-shattering Rainbow Sword” from the Jade Pool?”

Ning Qiancheng nodded slightly. There was nothing to hide as he would use this move more often after he entered the Fire-flaming Realm, making this move no longer a secret.

“You major in sword move?”

Wang Yuetong’s bright eyes sparkled with curiosity.

All the unique skills of the Jade Pool were derived from their fundamental “Three Sword Storms”, which formed the entire framework of the Book of Sword of the Jade Pool. After the “Three Sword Storms” came the reputable “Seven Swords of Jade Pool”, with “Heaven-shattering Rainbow Sword” being one of them.

The 10 sword moves on the Book of Sword of the Jade Pool were almost all-encompassing. Each and every core disciple needed to learn the “Three Sword Storms”. Actually, it was more like making a choice rather than studying.

The “Three Sword Storms” was a collection of sword moves that was the easiest to understand but the hardest to master. Each core disciple would choose one of the “Three Sword Storms” for their core sword storm when studying the sword moves of the Jade Pool. That was their first choice. After which, they chose their core sword move from the “Seven Swords of Jade Pool”, making it the most powerful move they could master in their life.

That didn’t mean that they would only know this particular move. However, after understanding the sword style of this particular move, all other moves would be influenced by this move. Each core disciple of the Jade Pool had different core sword storms and sword moves, and thus each sword carried a different and unique style in their battles. This had complemented the diverse sword styles of the Jade Pool and the rising trend of the organization that could surpass Mount Shu.

Many years ago, after the fall of the Invincible Realm senior of the Jade Pool, the most reputable disciple of the Jade Pool would be General Dongchen Wudi of the Zhongzhou State Military, nicknamed “Zhongzhou God of Massacre”. He was the top ten masters of Zhongzhou State, being at the peak of Thunder-shocking Realm, almost entering the Invincible Realm. He mastered the Fiery Sword Storm and Nine Heavens Thunder Sword. It was rumored that his attacks were like divine punishment, majestic and powerful, completely different from that of Ning Qiancheng’s Heaven-shattering Rainbow Sword.

Before Ning Qiancheng could reply, the horde of police cars went uphill.

The shrill siren surrounded the entire mountaintop almost instantly.

Groups of policemen in riot gear jumped down the car. Using the car as a protective body, they raised their guns at Li Tianlan’s gang, even including Gu Youlan.

More police cars came.

So did policemen.

Footsteps surrounded the mountain and numerous individuals crossed into the scene. Under the flashing police sirens, the expression of each and every single policeman seemed gloomy and grim, giving off an unprecedented heavy sense of pressure to the rest.

Li Tianlan narrowed his eyes slightly.

At this moment, facing the many guns and many policemen, Li Tianlan felt both the solemness of the state apparatus and the loneliness of himself.

Even though he was surrounded by Wang Yuetong, Ning Qiancheng, Li Baitian, Zhang Houlong, and Han Xinyan.

However, the feeling in his heart was getting stronger and more irresistible.

“Those in the front, listen up! We are the police. I am the deputy director of Huating Police Station, He Qingting. You have been surrounded! Drop down your weapon and come over with your hands on your head! Surrender is your only way out!”

A deep and sharp voice pierced through the numerous police cars from a loudspeaker. Surprisingly, it was a female voice.

The female voice got closer as a female figure wearing a police uniform appeared at the forefront of the policemen. She stood with serious and solemn eyes.

The woman was in her 30s or 40s. She had short hair and a tall and burly built. She could not be considered ugly, but she was not pretty either given her burly built. The lasting impression of this woman should be her dominance. Carrying the loudspeaker, she glanced around and waved at Gu Youlan’s gang. However, she was not polite to Li Tianlan’s gang as she screamed at them, “Put your hands on your heads and squat down!”

No one moved, no one put their hands on their head and no one squat down.

Standing beside Li Tianlan, Wang Yuetong whispered, “Senior brother, don’t look down on this woman. She is a mad dog that Zhong family keeps in Huating. She graduated from the Sky Academy and enlisted in a special force in Youzhou before coming over as the deputy director of Huating Police Station. This bitch bit many of their rivals in the past and has an unwavering stand.”

LI Tianlan nodded slightly.

In his line of sight, the burly He Qingting was already walking toward him with two policemen.

Without pulling out a gun, she walked with a steady pace, showing off her charisma.

“Deputy Director He, there is no need to have such a big commotion to deal with just a few teenagers, right? Look at this yourself, hundreds of policemen carrying loaded guns. An innocent passer-by would have thought that you’re suppressing terrorists.”

As He Qingting approached, Wang Yuetong took the opportunity to speak first in an indifferent tone. She was still holding Li Tianlan’s hand but showed a reserved and noble nature perfectly.

“Who are you?”

He Qingting looked at her and asked bluntly, with a rude tone.

“Wang Yuetong.”

Wang Yuetong sized her up briefly before adding calmly, “I’ll talk to Mayor Yue about your behavior today when I have lunch with him some other day, and let him know the power of Huating police.”

Wang Yuetong, Mayor Yue.

He Qingting’s expression changed as she seemed to be a little fearful. However, her momentum was not reduced. Staring at Wang Yuetong, she asked, “Did you hit Zhong Shaofeng?”

An idea came to Wang Yuetong and she was planning to admit.

“It’s me.”

Li Tianlan smiled and interrupted Wang Yuetong. He would never let Wang Yuetong shoulder this matter for him. He had the courage to bear all the consequences since he dared to do it.

“Director, a murder case happened here. The deceased is…”

A police officer strode up, hesitated, and whispered the identity of the deceased to He Qingting.

He Qingting’s expression changed again as she stared at Li Tianlan with pity as if he was dead.

“You committed the murder too?”

He Qingting asked.

“It’s me.”

Behind him, Ning Qiancheng’s weak voice rang. “I killed the guy.”

“Very good. Very loyal.”

With a sinister grimace, He Qingting waved and ordered, “Cuff them all. Shoot anyone who disobeys!”

She did not intend to ask for the identities of these people, as it would be harder for her to make decisions after she knew. Furthermore, she carried the order of her boss, and everyone except Wang Yuetong did not seem to strike fear in her.

“I advise you to wait.”

Li Tianlan stared at He Qingting and smiled softly. “Or you might not be able to bear the consequences afterward.”

His wristwatch was vibrating slightly, signaling a message from Zhuang Huayang. He was certain that the principal was near, or even arrived.

The signal causing the vibration had a transmission distance of only 200 meters. As long as Zhuang Huayang arrived, they would be safe tonight.

He Qingting squinted and spat on the floor. She sneered and mocked, “Who the fuck are you? To tell me about the consequences?”

“He is my man!”

A cold and ethereal voice suddenly sounded. It was crisp and sweet, as if it came from a fairy.

Li Tianlan raised his head immediately.

Qin Weibai appeared with Zhuang Huayang.

She walked through the crowd and quickly came up to the stiff He Qingting, slapping her in the face.

A crisp slap.

The momentum swung He Qingting’s body back. She caressed her face, with rage filling up her eyes.

“Who the fuck are you? To bring my man away?”

“Slap!”

After slapping the left side, she went for the right.

Qin Weibai’s delicate and perfect face was brimming with cruelty and coldness. After slapping He Qingting twice, she stood next to Li Tianlan and continued, “Who the fuck are you? To bring my man away?”

He Qingting was mad, she was about to slap back regardless of any consequences when Qin Weibai reacted.

A pistol of super large caliber appeared in her other hand as she raised it up onto He Qingting’s forehead. The force was so great that He Qingting’s entire head tilted backward forcefully.

Qin Weibai was emotionless, her body straight and her long hair swaying freely in the wind blowing across the mountaintop. She was cold and cruel, with an unspeakable domineering manner.

Like a goddess.

Like a queen.

The muzzle pressed hard against the forehead of He Qingting. She ordered coldly, “Kneel down!”
