The Kidnapped Bride-Chapter 578 - Ex’s Wedding
578 Ex’s Wedding
Hannah didn’t give it much of her thought and returned to her room. She knew that it would be a big tale of lust, and love and she wasn’t ready for it yet.
Closing the door behind her, Hannah put her hand on her chest to feel her heartbeat going crazy!
Her mind went numb from thinking about what she had said back then to the man and it made her understand that her words might come out to be rude but they were at least needed. His words rang like a song in her mind, a song she never wanted to listen to at a repetitive speed.
‘And today Ariana made me realize that I’m still single at thirty...’ because she wasn’t able to move on from the bad past she had till now. It was difficult to find someone to beat her old crushes and flames.
DING!
Suddenly the doorbell rang and Hannah peaked through a pinhole to find a servant waiting outside. She tapped her hand on her cheek to dry some of the tears before opening the door and giving a sweet smile. “Yes?”
“Miss, this invitation has been sent for you.” He passed it to her and Hannah took it inside her room. She closed the door and walked to the bed to finally open the invitation with much curiosity. ‘An invitation? What kind of invitation could it be?’
She held her doubt and finally, her eyes fell upon the names and the occasion...’No...this...’ her throat turned dry. No words came out and she could feel her hand trembling badly. Her mind went numb on reading the names...and it struck badly to her brain.
‘This man is getting married?’ her ex-boyfriend was getting married..someone whom she met in university days and who hated her. In fact, he had tried his best not to let her slip through his grip but she did successfully. Until now, she had rarely come into his connect. Out of heaven, she was reading his wedding invite in her hand which took her by surprise.
.....
But it wasn’t the end deal as she read the requirements to enter into the wedding.
BRING A PARTNER~
....
The next morning, Javier and Ellen were sitting in the restaurant and having their breakfast. Their dishes were served and it was Ellen who was telling Javier about their usual pans. “Remember that tomorrow you have to attend the wedding at the Royal family mansion. Their wedding is a personal affair and the reception is the day after tomorrow. It will be celebrated grandly since Prince Arthur is a well-known name in the business world. There will be reporters and business on the reception day but for tomorrow, you can be relaxed,”
Javier bit and put it inside his mouth through his fork. He opened his eyes and asked, “Hmm. I understand. What about the case which I mentioned last night? Any more information about the Royal family? Any secrets or dirt will be useful for me?” Javier had tried his best to stay low but his instinct to know more was bringing out the worst in him.
“Nothing new. Everything is old and I already briefed you about that. But our team is still searching.” Ellen replied and Javier agreed with the same.
But in the middle of their talks, Javier took the conversation in another direction. “I need your assistance.”
“Go ahead.” this time, he choked his food on hearing Javier’s words, “Hannah...she actually needs a partner for a day as she needs to attend her ex’s wedding.”
“Ex’s wedding...a partner?” Ellen asked in between his cough and Javier passed a glass of water which Ellen drank immediately. “Yes, a partner for a day. She asked me. If you are interested in volunteering for it then I can make arrangements. Otherwise, I will have to find someone among my clients who must be willing to attend it wi-”
“No need! I will go with her!” Ellen’s instant loud voice brought a mischievous smirk to Javier’s lips. “Are you sure, Ellen? Maybe I can..”
“I said no!” Ellen’s harsh reply once again only greeted his sigh. Javier knew how to test the balls of his friend and this was something he was always interested in. Javier didn’t mumble further and only ate his breakfast in silence until his mind drifted back to the scenes of the morning..

“Javier!” He was getting ready in the morning when he heard the knock and his voice. “Come inside, Hannah.”
His sight was greeted by Hannah who smiled at him and was hugged by his youngest daughter. “What brings you here, Hannah?” Javier had his door but it didn’t leave him completely.
On facing Javier, Hannah smiled bitterly. She didn’t know who to come and talk with Javier about this. Yet another disadvantage, all her old friends from her university were already married men. She couldn’t ask them to come and accompany her. Besides, it was hard to find someone else since she had already left this country years ago...
“Um...I actually need a partner for a day. I got an invitation for a wedding....” she scratched her head with hesitation before blasting, “My ex’s wedding....”
Hearing this, Javier’s brows raised. He didn’t expect such twists but asked, “Any man will be good?”
“Hmm. He must be a gentleman and I will reward him with dinner from my side! Just someone good...who will not take advantage of me .”
Her words were a big hint to him and he knew what he needed to do now. As his lips turned meaningful, Javier’s eyes skinned with mystery but he agreed with her demands.
When Hannah realized that Javier didn’t reply to her, she took in account that probably he couldn’t help her in this. She sighed and said, “Don’t force yourself. I will see if I can arrange anyone for that day....”
“No need.” Javier interrupted her with his words where she raised her brows questionably and he tugged the collar of his tie before saying, “I have a perfect man for this role...”
