On a blood screen manifested through magic, the view of Rex holding the Executor's form by the nape was displayed. All who were looking at the screen had their eyes widened in shock, the conclusion skimmed past their minds, but it was still surprising when it happened.

Elder Nolacula leaned back on his seat with his eyes glued onto the screen.

"He defeated the Executor..." He muttered in utter disbelief.

Upon hearing this, Elder Tilrith smiled as her eyes flickered with intensity, "As I expected,"

"Normally, even the Werewolf's kingly energy, as dense as the Royal Black Prince's would not be able to kill the Executor for good because of the potency of the chaos elements. He could use the Golden Slayer to kill the Executor, but he found his own way around that,"

"I must say, he's quite stubborn. He really wanted to defeat the Executor with his own power"

Having the privilege of watching the battle from start to finish—both Elders knew everything.

Both saw how Rex outwitted and dominated the Executor completely.

From the outset—lacking full insight into Rex's plan, the two were confused as to why he was aiming to absorb Life Essences, rather than obstructing the Executor's path. As it turns out, it was Rex's plan to let the Executor reach the Symposium of Upper Divinities.

Knowing that fact, Rex's movements slowly made sense in the Elders' minds.

"We anticipated that he could at least wound the Fifthborn before we made our move—going in to assassinate that bastard. But now, he's defeated—the Fifthborn is dead," Elder Nolacula muttered, casting a glance at Elder Tilrith. "Now that this happened, what's next?"

"Making our move now would be better than when the others made their move," He added.

Upon hearing this, Elder Tilrith's lips curled into a daunting smile.

A glimpse of mystery danced in her eyes before she stood up from her seat, "What's next...?"

"We shall congratulate the Royal Black Prince, of course," She added.

Gesturing lightly to the Demon beside her to follow—Elder Tilrith made her graceful exit from the room, presumably heading to the battlefield. On the other hand, Elder Nolacula stayed in his seat and watched her fading back closely, "She doesn't seem to be worried. What do you think? Do you think the other Elders will make a move now?"

"It's highly likely, especially with the power the prince displayed," Another Vampire replied.

Elder Nolacula nodded as he too thought of the same thing.

However, he could see that Elder Tilrith doesn't seem to be on the same page.

Since she was going to the prince, it shows that she was not worried about the other Elders.

Albeit confused, Elder Nolacula decided that he would follow her for now.

But as he was halfway to standing up from his seat, his ears perked as he raised his gaze.

Gazing at the blood screen that was now showcasing the Royal Black Prince looking down at the defeated Executor after proclaiming victory—Elder Nolacula furrowed his brow. He could not understand what he was hearing.

He exchanged a puzzled glance with the Vampire beside him, who also heard what he heard.

Both were momentarily paused, deeply puzzled by what they heard.

"What are they talking about...?" He uttered in confusion.

Meanwhile, back to the battlefield.

It was rough, but I managed to come out on top.

As Rex stood strong in the face of the kneeling armies—acknowledging his strength that had prevailed against the Executor—victory coursed through his veins. His mind, was still in quite a mess, the moment still felt surreal for him to actually defeat the Executor.

Compared to all of his previous enemies, the Executor was the strongest one yet.

Had Rex fought the Executor raw, he would have lost.

It was solely his meticulous planning that ultimately led to his triumph and success.

Even now, Rex acknowledged that a lot of things could go wrong but it thankfully did not.

Gradually, he could not ignore the toll it had taken on his body.

Especially when he was almost erased earlier from existence.

Had he been late a few more seconds, then he would've been erased completely.

Panting heavily, his chest rising and falling in exhaustion—a faint sound caught his attention.

Looking down at the Executor, Rex found that he was still clinging to dear life.

Despite realizing that the Executor is still alive, Rex doesn't seem to be surprised because he hasn't given the Executor the finishing blow. If he really wanted the Executor to be dead then he would've left the Executor inside the white beam.

But Rex didn't, and that was because he still had some things he needed to address.

Inhaling deeply, he grabbed the Executor and pulled him away.

Most of the onlookers were confused as to what he was doing, but they didn't bother him.

Knowing that Rex was notorious for his brutality, they don't want to know.

Before long—Rex managed to pull the Executor away from prying eyes—assisting him to lean against a nearby, splintered tree. As the Executor coughed up blood several times, he weakly opened his eyes, only to be greeted by excruciating pain and the Blood Devourer piercing his chest.

"Tell me, how do you know about the System?" Rex suddenly asked in a monotone voice.

He had some guesses, but he needed to make sure.

Upon hearing this, the Executor inhaled crookedly and struggled to lift his gaze to meet Rex's before coughing once more. Rex anticipated some resistance, but it seemed that was not the case. "It... It was my Father,"

Instead of resisting to answer, the Executor confessed truthfully, his voice strained.

"The Supreme One?" Rex replied with a raised brow.

As a clear response, the Executor nodded his head firmly, confirming that Rex was right.

Even though Rex was quite sure that the previous user of the System was the Supreme One, judging from the fact that the previous user created the Passue Matriarch, there was still doubt in his mind.

But now, it was confirmed that it was indeed the Supreme One.

Knowing who was the previous user would help Rex determine one important thing.

Aside from curiosity, this would help him anticipate those who might know of the System too.

He could avoid being trapped the way the Fifthborn did to him.

Moreover, with the Fifthborn managing to trap him and forcefully deactivate the System, Rex decided that he would need to start learning the origin of the System. It would definitely help to know more about the System for the future.

Since as far as he's concerned, the System is a power beyond even Gods themselves.

Other than that, Rex had absolutely no clue about the System.

Pondering for a moment, Rex then asked, "Does he also hate the Supernaturals?"

"Hate? No, I don't think so, but Father did try to wipe all Supernaturals" the Executor replied.

Regardless of the difference in era—there must be a shared trait between this Supreme One and myself, that led to our selection by the System. Cracking that particular trait would be a step to learn more about the System. I can only speculate that, he also has a similar hate for the Supernaturals like I did, or had the same desire to become invincible.

Since the Supreme One didn't hate the Supernaturals, then it must be the latter.

But as he was contemplating, the Executor was also too.

It was hard not to reminisce the old time when he was already at the edge of his life—which was supposed to be an unending, and luxurious life of power. As Rex broached, the topic of the Supreme One, it became difficult for him not to reminisce about the Supreme One.

A God-like man that many considered to be a living deity.

"Then again *Cough*, I really don't know much about Father" the Executor added.

Upon hearing this, Rex frowned in confusion.

As the Executor referred to the Supreme One as his Father, Rex thinks that the Supreme One is really acting like a paternal figure. So it's quite weird—for the Executor to say that he didn't know much about the Supreme One.

However, in that moment of contemplation, a realization dawned upon Rex.

Wait... Aren't the Executors created by the Supreme One expecting the Supernaturals to riot?

Recalling back to the first encounter he had with the Executor, Rex distinctively remembered the three phases that the Executor explained to awaken him. And from his explanation—Rex remembers him saying that his purpose was to defend Humanity when the time came for the Supernaturals to try to overthrow Humanity.

From that information, Rex could deduce that the Executors didn't exist until the latter era.

In other words, they probably didn't know much about the Supreme One's past.

"Did you know anything about your Father's reputation in the past, before you existed?"

"Before I exist...?"

Crack!

Suddenly, the Executor's body began to visibly crack as he was nearing his limit in this world.

However, he doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

As the cursed energy that was ingrained inside the Blood Devourer was pumping fiercely into the Executor's veins and clashing with his chaos elements, corroding his vitality, he appeared to have already resigned himself to his fate.

Nothing he could do would result him in surviving this ordeal.

Remaining silent for a moment, the Executor thought back to the ancient past.

It was blurry, especially with his vitality being drained slowly.

Even Rex had little hope that he would remember something considering his dying state.

But as he harbored low expectations, a glimmer of light sparked in the Executor's eyes as it seemed like he recollected something. "It- It was quite known that Father, at one point, was also kind to the Supernaturals, unlike the others. He was a benevolent emperor..."

Lifting his ginger, the Executor pointed at Rex and continued, "Just like you,"

"Father tried to accommodate Humans and Supernaturals to co-exist. I don't *Cough* really know what- what happened... but he stopped being like that not long before he created me and my brothers. He became vicious, and led an army to wipe the Supernaturals completely"

Upon hearing this, Rex's eyes flashed with interest as this was a big piece of information.

It gave him possible insights into the Supreme One's personality.

So something made him change, but it couldn't be someone else considering his strength.

But what is it? What makes him change?

However, despite the insight, it was not enough.

A series of possibilities appeared in Rex's mind, but it was still too broad.

Rex would need more information to deduce anything.

Just then, the Executor inhaled deeply, his chest heavy with the weight of his nearing fate.

He could feel the inexorable pull of the end drawing near, akin to a dark shadow descending upon him. With a gaze of resignation, he lifted his eyes skyward, "It appears my time is up in this world. Before I go—know that my brothers would not stand by this—and a little piece of advice..."

"I have a weakened version for all their powers, make do with that," the Executor added.

Despite being an enemy minutes ago, he gave crucial information to help Rex in the future.

Listening to this, Rex couldn't help but ask, "Why are you helping me, Fifthborn?"

"Why, you say...?" the Executor cackled, blood dripping more from his mouth. "I failed to end you, and I'm sure as Hell won't be happy if my brothers succeed in doing that. So don't lose, Royal Black Prince. Give them the same Hell you gave to me. Don't allow their hands to hold the System..."

Rex was not expecting the Executor to say something like this.

But it seemed the Fifthborn hated his brothers more than he hated Rex himself.

He appreciated this aid and thanked the Executor in his mind.

As the fissures encased the Executor's entire being—radiating with a haunting purple glow—his head bowed. With a final—fragile breath, his lips parted once more to utter his last words, "My skill is go... you need t-"

Just before the Executor could finish, his soul slipped away gently.

His last words were a faint echo, lost in the silence of the fading light.

Rex frowned, fretting as to what the Executor was saying in his final breath, but his attention was pulled away when a couple of notifications appeared in his vision. With the Executor—at last, dead, the quest was completed.
