On their way, Lu Li asked the Patriarch Ye about the details. Patriarch Ye gave a full account. Lu Li finally understood why Lu Renhuang would be hunted down by Blazing Huo.
Lu Renhuang had been challenging powerful warriors in the Prison of Ice. But he was a man of principles. He never took anyone’s life. Even if others were to provoke him, as long as he could defeat his enemy, he would not kill, unless there was no other way.
Lu Renhuang got the name of Ice Hunter after many times of challenges and progresses. That was a confirmation of Lu Renhuang’s abilities.
As a matter of fact, many warriors in the Prison of Ice thought highly of Lu Renhuang. There were many cases of no discord, no concord. Some warriors actually looked forward to being challenged by Lu Renhuang because both parties would be inspired and achieve breakthroughs in battles.
Though Lu Renhuang often challenged others, he was not thick-headed. For some warriors in the Prison of Ice, before he thought he was capable enough, he would not provoke them. He knew he might be killed instantly if he had angered such characters.
Such characters included the Deaf Taoist and Blazing Huo!
Lu Renhuang did not dare to provoke any one of the Purgatory’s Top 10. Lu Renhuang knew he was better than the average warriors at the peak of the Semi-God Realm, but there was still a gap between him and the Purgatory’s Top 10. Those warriors did not earn their names by talking, but by battles after battles and by bodies after bodies.
Lu Renhuang did not go to Blazing Huo. However, not long ago, Blazing Huo suddenly claimed that he wanted to compete with Lu Renhuang. Back then, Lu Renhuang just happened to run into the Deaf Taoist and was injured. Lu Renhuang fled to a hiding location with Patriarch Ye to recover.
Since Lu Renhuang fought with the Deaf Taoist, he understood the powers of the Purgatory’s Top 10. Naturally, Lu Renhuang did not have the courage to compete with Blazing Huo. Therefore, he and Patriarch Ye and other companions relocated overnight, trying to lie low in the Prison of Wind.
However, they were intercepted by Blazing Huo on the way. Two other patriarchs of the Earth Immortal Realm were killed. Lu Renhuang tried to stop the pursuing forces on his own so that Patriarch Ye could run first…
“Blazing Huo was the one started it. Was it about me?”
The glow in Lu Li’s eyes grew cold. If Blazing Huo knew Lu Renhuang was Lu Li’s father, the former might have had some ideas. After all, seizing Lu Renhuang could be used as a threat to Lu Li, for example, making Lu Li hand over the Relic!
“Whoosh~”
The Wicked Bead flew away at top speed. Lu Li was more than anxious.
He and Lu Renhuang did not share a deep feeling, but the blood-bond relationship could not be changed. Also, given that Lu Li was influenced by Lu Ling since he was a kid, he did not hold a grudge against Lu Renhuang. Lu Li accepted Lu Renhuang when he came back from the Ice Abyss and made up for the lost time.
The entrance to the Prison of Wind was not far away but it did take them two days. Lu Li had been staring at the jade talisman of life of Lu Renhuang along the way, afraid that it would be broken all of a sudden…
At the entrance to the Prison of Wind, Lu Li dashed out and rushed to the passageway. But the gravitational force here was strong. It was fortunate that Lu Li had enough strength. Though his speed was impeded a bit, he managed to climb up easily.
“Buzzing~”
After a blur, Lu Li found himself in a desert. As soon as he came out… he was raised up. He did not do this by himself. It was the wind that blew him up.
Considering Lu Li’s abilities, he would not move one bit whether there was a gale, or a warrior gave him a punch. However, the wind here could blow him up into the air. How heavy the wind here was.
Lu Li did not panic. He just let the wind take him to the air as he searched the surroundings with psychic power. He stopped doing so soon. There was nothing to see in the Prison of Wind. It was desert all around and sand and gale filled the world. He could see some tornadoes in the distance, which connected the sky and the ground.
As the name indicated, the Prison of Wind was a world of wind!
“Buzzing~”
Lu Li stabilized himself and sent the Deaf Taoist and Lu Feng out. They were both surprised to find themselves in the Prison of Wind after merely two days. How fast was the Wicked Bead?
Lu Li said, “Do you know any good ways to find my father?”
Deaf Taoist turned to Lu Feng, cupped his fists and said at once, “Lord, I’ll take care of it. I have some friends in the Prison of Wind and I will ask them to look for Lu Renhuang immediately. There are 10 jade talismans, each representing a different location. Deaf Taoist knows.”
Lu Feng bid farewell and left soon. Lu Li decided that he could not sit around idly. He brought the Deaf Taoist into the Wicked Bead and flew in a different direction.
“Who is this Lu Feng?”
On his way, Lu Li asked with curiosity. The Deaf Taoist curled his lips. “Just an information-hawker. He sells information on the Purgatory of Primordial Chaos and makes friends with different parties.”
“Okay, I see!”
Lu Li nodded and used psychic power to check the surroundings. The view in the Prison of Wind was not good at all. It was just sand and desert. Every now and then, he could see a mountain but only of barren, black stones. But since the wind here was heavy, the regular mountains would have been blown into dust.
An hour later, Lu Li stopped. He found someone ahead. In the desert up ahead was a tornado with a diameter of over one thousand feet. Inside was a gray-haired old man, flying against the wind. He must be training himself.
The gray-haired old man spotted Lu Li with psychic power but did not intend to say anything. He closed his eyes and continued to travel against the wind inside the tornado.
Lu Li came out, cupped his fists and said, “Excuse me but can I ask you about something?”
Lu Li wanted to ask if Blazing Huo and Lu Renhuang had gone past this place. Lu Li was sincere and polite.
However, that gray-haired old man gave a quite impatient answer, “Piss off, or… die!”
Lu Li was completely speechless over the fact that the warriors would curse someone to doom so often. The Wicked Bead glowed and Lu Li sent out the Deaf Taoist. Pointing at the gray-haired old man and Lu Li said, “Ask him if he had seen Blazing Huo.”
“Well?”
As soon as the gray-haired old man saw the Deaf Taoist, he stopped and came over. He dropped to one knee in front of the Deaf Taoist and bowed, “Nice to meet you!”
“Whoosh!”
The Deaf Taoist kicked at the man. The former saw that Lu Li was displeased and knew the old warrior had spoken rudely to Lu Li.
The Deaf Taoist’s kick was strong. The gray-haired old man did not dodge and was knocked away. There was even a dent on his chest and blood spilled out from his mouth.
Lu Li waved his hand. “It’s okay now. Get down to business!”
“Get back here!”
The Deaf Taoist shouted in a bossy way. The gray-haired old man flew back, dropped to one knee and said, “I am sorry, Deaf Taoist, and my lord. Please forgive me. I am as blind as a rat and did not recognize you.”
“Where is Blazing Huo? Have you seen the Ice Hunter?”
The Deaf Taoist asked directly. The gray-haired old man shook his head now. His eyes were filled with confusion, indicating his ignorance of the matter.
The Deaf Taoist kicked him away again and bellowed, “Go and look for them. When you find Blazing Huo, send my message. If he dares to hurt the Ice Hunter, I will fight him till death.”
