The Invincible Doctor of the Female Village Chief-Chapter 604: We’re Serious About Catching Adulterers
Having the little diviner Liu Zixuan along made the journey more enjoyable; at least it wasn’t as dull as driving alone.
After about six hours, around nine in the morning the next day, the two finally reached the boundaries of Celestial Fate City.
Liu Zixuan parked the car and stretched by the roadside. "Driving is really damn exhausting!"
"Hey, do you have a place to crash here?" The little diviner leaned against the car, smoking a cigarette, and asked.
"Not yet." Liu Zixuan thought for a moment, "What about you?"
In this unfamiliar place, Liu Zixuan felt a bit lost; at least in Celestial Capital, there were folks like Sister An San. If the little diviner knew a place, it would save Liu Zixuan some trouble.
The little diviner scratched his head. "Well, there’s one place, but it’s quite remote."
"Let’s go take a look and find a place to crash first," Liu Zixuan suggested.
"Don’t regret it when we get there." The little diviner leaned over with a grin. "I haven’t been there in three years; who knows what it looks like now."
Liu Zixuan needed a little time to figure out what to do here. For now, he wasn’t familiar with the Willow Association and couldn’t just rush over. Plus, he wanted to raise his strength to the Imperial Realm Middle Stage before going to the Willow Association. That way, he’d be more confident.
So, remote wouldn’t be an issue; after all, it was just a temporary place.
Seeing Liu Zixuan agree, the little diviner drove him towards the suburb.
In southern cities like Celestial Fate City, the climate is damp and warm. The area is known for flower teas, and the suburb where the diviner took Liu Zixuan is one of the planting spots.
Seeing the lush green tea trees along the road, Liu Zixuan laughed, "The moment we arrived, I smelled a faint fragrance. You don’t often encounter this up north!" 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"That’s about the only good thing here. But I’ve heard there are quite a few wealthy people around, and they’re easy to swindle," the little diviner winked at Liu Zixuan. "How about we make a quick buck this afternoon?"
Liu Zixuan immediately had a few black lines on his forehead; this guy was as money-minded as Crazy Zhou, never stopped thinking about money.
The place the little diviner mentioned was Baihua Town. According to him, in ancient times during some dynasty, it was the dedicated tea-supplying area for the Emperor, because of the various types, all being floral teas, the Emperor named it Baihua Town.
More importantly, Baihua Town is located at the border of Celestial Fate City and Tianchen City.
Such a no man’s land was perfect for Liu Zixuan; no worry about the Willow Association discovering him, and it allowed for lots of activities.
When they arrived at Baihua Town, the little diviner guided them to the left side of the town, stopping in front of a two-story building.
Even though it was close to ten o’clock, the grass in the alley was still covered with dew.
The little diviner got out of the car, looking at the building in front. "I never thought, after three years, I’d be back here."
"Is this your home?" Liu Zixuan asked.
"Yeah, it’s an old family house," the little diviner said, taking a key from his pocket to open the door. But upon getting closer, he saw there was no lock, and just pushed the door open.
This type of building usually didn’t have a courtyard. Once inside, there was a living room, with mostly living and dining areas on the ground floor, and rooms for living on the second floor.
Following the little diviner inside, Liu Zixuan raised an eyebrow. "Does your family have other people here?"
"No!" The little diviner scratched his head, "But why does it look like someone’s living here!"
The living room was very clean, simple yet tidy, and most importantly, the TV in the living room was on, indicating someone was living there.
The little diviner mumbled blankly, "My grandparents are gone, no relatives, who else could be living in this house besides me?"
"Could it be some neighbor or something?" Liu Zixuan asked again.
The little diviner shook his head, "Impossible, they wouldn’t live in my house."
With that, the little diviner wandered around on the first floor, then headed straight up the stairs.
After waiting for a while on the first floor, Liu Zixuan saw that the little diviner hadn’t come down, so he frowned and went upstairs to see what the little diviner was up to.
As he reached the top, he saw the little diviner crouched at the window crack of a room on the left, peering inside with a cheeky grin.
Liu Zixuan quietly approached and whispered, "What are you looking at that’s so interesting?"
"Shh!" The little diviner quickly gestured for silence and whispered, "See for yourself."
Looking through the window crack, Liu Zixuan immediately saw something quite indecent.
A man and a woman were performing the most primal action inside the room, the rising and falling eliciting goosebumps from the sounds emerging.
Although he couldn’t see the man and woman’s faces, it was evident that the man was around thirty or forty, and the girl was just in her early twenties.
"Are they using your house as that kind of place?" Liu Zixuan chuckled.
The little diviner had a playful smile; others in his place would’ve been angry. After all, it was his house, and outsiders not only moved in but did such things, completely disregarding the homeowner.
But he showed no anger, even saying to Liu Zixuan, "Seems like the heavens are treating us well, someone’s sending us money right when we returned!"
"Sending money?" Liu Zixuan didn’t understand.
"Think about it, living in my house without my permission counts as trespassing on private property; they have to compensate me. Moreover, just by looking at them, I can tell those two are sneaking around. That guy, looking like a pig, definitely has a family, and that girl is about our age, so they can’t be married," the little diviner said, spreading his hands with a smile. "Once they’re almost done, we burst in, catch them cheating, demand compensation for trespassing, and charge hush money for catching them in the act."
Liu Zixuan immediately gave the little diviner a thumbs-up, "Not starting a business is a waste of your talent!"
"Following the ancestor’s will, we are destined to be the cream of the crop; how could we indulge in filthy businesses? We must bring harmony and eliminate discord," the little diviner began to ramble again.
Liu Zixuan grumbled disapprovingly, "From now on, when you’re with me, speak normally!"
The little diviner paused, then solemnly declared, "We are serious about catching them red-handed!"
With that, the little diviner stood up, tugged Liu Zixuan over to the door, and kicked it open.
"You brazen adulterers, daring to indulge in such acts under broad daylight, truly appalling..." The little diviner started to say, but as the man and woman turned to look at them, recognizing their faces, his speech abruptly halted...
