The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 347: The only smart Carl
"WAIT! Before we attack each other, our group needs to decide who will go first. Group huddle, everyone!" π³π«ππ²π ππ―ππ¨πππΉ.π°πΌπΊ
They all pressed their heads into each other and started brainstorming.
"Okay, so who wants to go first?" Kai asked, starting the conversation in the group huddle.
"Hmmm. They all look human, so how about Nadya or you, Kai?" Gwen suggested.
Amaya was very against that idea. She didnβt want to be left out of the fun. "No! Thatβs boring! I want to fight!"
Sasha shrugged. "Iβm okay with standing back and watching."
"You know, after that cactus, I wanna punch some heads!" Kyana was still upset at that tree...which wasnβt a tree.
"If you want me to fight, I can. But shouldnβt we try to understand the land before doing anything rash?" Nayda thought.
"Hell nah, letβs kill them all!" Karumi was on board with Amaya.
"Uhh, boss." One of the bandits started talking.
"What?"
"It might just be me, but Iβm getting a bad feeling from these guys."
"Ha! Listen, Carlem, these guys are just trying to prolong their lives. Let them have their few minutes of life before they die."
Carlem gulped. "I-I donβt know, boss. They are literally talking about how to kill us and arenβt being secretive about it. Thatβs not normal.
The boss just disregarded what Carlem said and just waited for Kai and his girls to be done with their group huddle.
"Just stand back if youβre scared."
Thatβs exactly what Carlem did. No, he went even further than standing back. He literally ran away. He wasnβt going to be a part of a slaughter and wanted to live. He was fine being a bandit, but he couldnβt be one if he were dead.
"Okay, so itβs decided then." The group huddle ended, and Kai clapped his hands, looking at Nadya. "Youβll handle them."
She sighed. "I guess thatβs fine."
"Hahahahahaha! Have you all finished your little chat? Are you ready to die now? Weβll get a lot of money selling your weird clothes and fancy organs, you aliens." The bandit boss pointed his sword toward Kaiβs group, and all of the other bandits drew their weapons as well.
"Sir. Weβre not aliens, weβre from a different continent." Kai corrected him.
"Ha! Thatβs a funny joke. First of all, if the other continents existed, they wouldnβt be dressed like you clowns."
"Then how would they dress?" Gwen asked
"Like us, obviously. Besides, you all are too light-skinned to be native to this world."
Kai understood the guyβs thought process. Since the continents were isolated, the people in this world thought that they were the only group of people that existed. Seeing other people messing with that belief of theirs. Itβs also not surprising if they had never seen multiple complexions before as well.
"The cat and elf are probably from here, you could be," He was pointing at Kai. "But the rest of you, no."
"Ha! Thatβs funny. Anyway, Nadya, attack!"
Nadya sped over to the bandit boss, the sand splitting apart from her speed. She clobbered the boss with a right hook, punching his head clean off.
Everyone was seeing this in slow motion and was stunned. Not the bandits, they couldnβt perceive things that fast. But Kai and the others could.
Nadya continued, kicking the head off another bandit, punching the face in on the one next to the dead bandit, then continued until every bandit around them was dead. When the last one fell, Nadyaβs hands and feet were covered in blood.
"What the fuck?!" Kai did not know Nadya had hands like that.
"Whatβs up?" The girls asked him.
"What do you mean? Nadya just killed them all with her fists and feet! Sheβs a mage!"
"Iβm a mage and I fight with my hands."
"Gwen. You donβt count. Youβre a dragon and you have urges."
"Urges? What do you mean by that?"
Kai ignored her.
"What do you mean by that!?"
He still ignored her.
"Have you not seen her fight with her hands before?" Kyana didnβt understand why Kai was making a big deal out of this. To her, it was normal to fight with your hands even if that wasnβt your main type of combat.
"Answer me this: when was the last time youβve seen Nadya fight with her hands?"
No one answered.
"Okay, you have a point." Sasha agreed.
"See!"
Nadya was cleaning the blood off her body when she responded to the rest of them. "At first, I was just a mage, but the more Kai helped us get stronger, the more I looked into fighting physically. So, in my downtime, I would practice."
"When was this?!"
"I just said in my downtime."
"When do you have downtime?"
"Kai, do you know that youβre always on an adventure and leave us to our own devices at times?"
What Nadya said was true; however, this didnβt explain how the others didnβt know that she could fight with her hands.
When Kai brought this up, she shrugged.
"Can we get out of this desert?" Amaya asked. "Itβs really hot."
Nadya snapped her fingers and made a cloud over Amayaβs head that blew cool air on her.
"Ohhh, thatβs nice. Thanks."
"Me too!" Karumi shouted.
Nadya made one for all of them, and they started walking out of the desert and toward the town.
βHahaha! You guys look like cartoon characters when they get upset.β Leo voiced in Kaiβs head.
"Pwahahaha! We do! Thatβs fucking great!"
"Kai, what the heck was that?"
"Huh? Oh, itβs Leo. Heβs making fun of us right now."
"Oooo! Whatβs he saying?!" Amaya wanted to join in on the jokes
"You wouldnβt understand."
Gwen elbowed Kai in the arm. "Try us."
"Okay. Leo said that we look like those cartoon characters on TV when they get upset or sometimes sad."
All of them gave him blank stares.
"The fuck is a cartoon?" Gwen was the first to ask
"Whatβs a TV? Is that some sort of spell?" Nadya wondered
Sasha thought differently. "No, he said, characters. So itβs gotta be a book or play."
Surprisingly, Sasha was the closest to being correct.
"Ahh, you gotta love it, worlds with no advanced technology."
