Aethelwolf and his family were escorted by a group of servants and guards to the Golden Lake Manor. They were using the carriage of the Suliman Family so the civilians immediately made way for them after seeing the famous insignia.
The Golden Lake Manor was located at the northern tip of the territory. There was a big market near this area since it was close to the main entrance of the territory.
When the entourage passed by the busy market street, the civilians stood at the side of the road, staring at them respectfully. The Suliman Family was like the ruler of Northern Trance so everyone was afraid of offending them.
"Woah! This is a big market! I didn't notice it when we passed by here before." Aethelwolf uttered in surprise.
"There are many merchants in this market and there's even a fighting coliseum here owned by a noble of the country. It is also because of this coliseum that the market is busy." Karina explained with a light smile.
"A fighting coliseum?" Aethelwolf frowned upon hearing this.
Seeing his expression, Karina couldn't help but ask. "Do you dislike fighting coliseums, Sir Aethelwolf?" Many nobles loved to see people fighting on the stage and they would even gamble with high stakes. As a resident of Northern Trance, this was a normal thing to her, but she also knew that there were some people who hated seeing the battles in the Coliseum.
Aethelwolf shook his head. "I just don't like the atmosphere. However, I'm curious about it so I might take a look at it someday." He replied.
Samira and Julie stared at him silently. They knew that their husband didn't want to stand out because of their sensitive identities. There were a lot of important people in the coliseum and getting involved with them might expose their identities.
"That's the Coliseum." Karina pointed her finger towards a huge Roman-style gladiator coliseum. Even from afar, the group could already hear the loud noises coming from the coliseum.
Aethelwolf and the others followed her gaze, but they refused to comment.
After seeing that they weren't interested in the coliseum, Karina didn't insist on the topic. Instead, she told them about the famous shops in the market.
Aethelwolf planned to open up a pill shop so he attentively listened. He didn't want to offend a big figure so he wanted to find out if there was someone doing the pill business.
"Are there any famous pill shops in the market?" He asked.
Karina thought for a moment and replied. "There are two big pill shops in the market. One is owned by a merchant family, while the other one is owned by a noble." She stared at Aethelwolf as she said this. She wondered why he asked her about this.
Aethelwolf's expression remained calm, but he was inwardly disappointed. The presence of these two big groups would make things difficult for him if he opened up a pill shop. He was new to the territory and he didn't want to carelessly offend someone. 'It seems like I have to rethink about what kind of business I should open here.' He thought to himself.
Soon, the group arrived in front of a massive lake that shone with golden radiance.
Aethelwolf could already smell the fragrant scent coming from the lake. He used his observation skills on the lake to see what it was, but he was a bit disappointed after reading the description of the lake. The golden lake was indeed not ordinary, but it wasn't magical either. The lake contains a dense amount of world essence, making the fauna and flora around it to be in abundance. However, other than this, the lake was nothing special. The golden radiance was only caused by the high density of world essence.
Not long later, they arrived in front of a huge manor.
"Sir Aethelwolf, this place will be yours from now. These are the relevant documents that you need to sign." Karina handed some documents and a quill pen to him.
Aethelwolf scanned the documents using his spiritual perception. This process only took him a small fraction of a second. After seeing that nothing was wrong, he signed the documents and handed them back to Karina.
"Congratulations on getting your new home!" Karina smiled as she kept the documents.
"Thank you." Aethelwolf chuckled. They then got down the carriage.
Karina took them inside their new home. The former servants of the Golden Lake Manor formed a line and bowed at their new boss.
"Greetings, lord!"
"Greetings to the two madams!"
"Greetings to the two princesses!"
"They are the former servants of the manor. Do you plan to keep them?" Karina whispered into Aethelwolf's ears.
The servants nervously stared at their new lord. It was very difficult to find a job, especially for people like them who had low status. They would be treated like dirt wherever they go. They didn't want to go through so much trouble looking for another job.
Aethelwolf thought deeply. Taking the servants would bring some dangers to them since there might be spies. However, this wasn't a problem for Aethelwolf. He had the Virtual Map that told him if someone was an enemy or a friend. He could just check them one by one through the virtual map and get rid of the spies.
After a moment of silence, Aethelwolf replied. "It's fine. I don't have time to look for people so they can stay here."
The servants heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing his words. They all bowed at him gratefully. "Thank you for taking us, lord! We will serve you well!"
Aethelwolf nodded his head calmly at them.
"Sir Aethelwolf, my task here is done. I won't take more of your time. You showed have a tour around your new home. If you need anything from me, don't hesitate to call." Karina noticed that Aethelwolf's daughters were tired from the journey so she tactfully excused herself.
"Thank you for bringing us here, Karina. Please convey my gratitude to the mayor. You guys take care." Aethelwolf smiled at her.
"I understand." Karina left with the entourage soon after that.
