The Heiress Spoiled by Four Brothers and One Devilish CEO-Chapter 219 Do I Look Good?
Brandon Lewis stood up and took Emily Gates from Megan Shaw’s arms, heading toward the stage with her.
Megan turned and spotted Tristan Reid at the doorway, then couldn’t hold back and jogged toward him.
The sudden move startled Tristan a bit, but he quickly strode over to catch his girl.
As soon as she got close, he swept her into his arms.
"You’re such a handful," he muttered, half-amused.
With Megan in tow, he walked over and sat down beside Stella Banks at their table.
"Mom, you look like you’re on cloud nine."
Holding Megan’s hand, Stella looked ecstatic. "Oh my goodness, I’m going to have a granddaughter!"
Samuel Lewis scoffed, “We don’t even know that yet. She could have a grandson, you know.”
Zachary Lewis shut him down with a glare. “If your mom says it’s a girl, then that’s that! And maybe you should start thinking about bringing someone home yourself.”
Samuel shrugged, glancing at Oliver Lewis and Jason Lewis, “Neither of my big brothers is rushing things, why should I?”
Oliver’s expression stayed as cold as ever. He barely lifted his eyelids. “It’ll happen when it’s meant to.”
Jason casually brushed his bangs. “Come on, I’m a national heartthrob. If I marry now, half my fanbase would riot.”
Tristan smirked, “And I’m the world’s heartthrob, didn’t stop me from tying the knot early.”
The whole table fell into an awkward hush.
Megan leaned over and whispered, “So... are you regretting marrying young, or praising my amazing taste in men?”
Tristan bent closer to her ear, his tone low and teasing, “I’m saying my wife really knew what she was doing—I fell for you hard.”
"You’re so full of it!" Megan pretended to pout at him.
Tristan chuckled and slipped his arm around her shoulder. “Relax. Get home and I’ll show you how full-of-it I can be.”
Just then, Mrs. Lewis, silent all this while, cleared her throat while fidgeting with her prayer beads. “Flirting in front of everyone... Seriously?”
Mr. Lewis’s face darkened. “She’s happy, that’s what matters. Public affection just means strong feelings.”
“Hmph!” Mrs. Lewis turned away with a snort.
Megan acted like she didn’t hear anything, cupped Tristan’s face and kissed him hard on the lips.
Then she turned to Mrs. Lewis with a sweet smile, “Grandma, if you wanna smooch Grandpa, we won’t stop you or anything.”
“Shameless child!” Mrs. Lewis glared at her, clearly fuming.
Samuel sipped his lemonade, muttering, “Still a lot better than drugging my second brother, right?”
Mrs. Lewis trembled in rage, the prayer beads slipping faster through her fingers in frustration.
Samuel turned to Tristan with a smirk. "You know I always spoil my sis, right?"
Tristan gave a lazy nod. “No need for brownie points. Just take that dumb bird of yours home before I stew it.”
Samuel waved him off, “That stupid parrot’s driving me nuts. Stew, roast, keep it—I’m done with it.”
Tristan: "......"
Brandon’s and Emily’s wedding wrapped up with a sweet kiss. During the toasts, Megan started feeling a bit tired, so Tristan took her back to Dreamscape Manor early.
Since Zachary hadn’t seen Stella in a while, the two headed back to the old house together that night.
At home, Tristan drew a warm bath for Megan and carried her in.
He pumped some shampoo into his hand and gently worked it through her hair. “I’ve got secretary interviews tomorrow—anything specific you want to request?”
“Young, hot, curvy... Wait no, definitely not.”
Tristan chuckled low, “Worried about me?”
“I mean, what man isn’t a little shady when his wife’s pregnant? Even you... you sure your ‘little buddy’ can behave himself?”Tristan Reid let out a low chuckle. “What can I say? It only listens to you. Try it if you don’t believe me.”
Megan Shaw laughed out loud, then shot him a playful wink. “Babe, we’re three and a half months in. We’re good now.”
Tristan’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly, his gaze deepening. “You serious?”
Megan nodded. “Dead serious.”
Without another word, Tristan got up and stepped into the tub with his long legs.
The bathroom grew warmer, steam fogging up the glass. Water dripped down the tiles, and a few splashes made it past the edge of the tub.
By the time Tristan carried her out, Megan had already drifted off.
He watched her sleeping face—so delicate and peaceful—and a smile tugged at his mouth.
He carefully grabbed the blow-dryer, switched it to silent mode, and dried her hair gently until every strand of her inky black hair was soft and dry.
Only then did he turn it off, slide under the covers, and pull her into his arms, quickly falling asleep himself.
Early the next morning, Megan opened her eyes to find the bed empty—Tristan had already gone to work.
On the nightstand, a note sat neatly: “My little guy only likes you.”
Looking at the bold, sharp handwriting paired with such ridiculous words, Megan couldn’t help but laugh.
She picked up her phone and texted him: [Show-off.]
Tristan replied almost instantly: [Your show-off loves you!] 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Megan: [What are you up to now?]
Tristan: [Interviewing for a secretary.]
Megan: [Anyone catch your eye?]
Tristan: [One did. She’s exactly what you said *not* to pick.]
Megan thought for a second before replying: [Go ahead, hire her.]
Tristan: [Got it. Yes ma’am. Love you (づ ̄3 ̄)づ]
After hitting send, he looked at the sweet-faced woman in front of him and said coolly, “You’re hired.”
She gave a slight nod. “Thank you, Mr. Reid.”
He added, “As a personal assistant.”
Her eyes lit up, obviously flattered. Even Cameron Brooks looked stunned—Tristan never got cozy with women besides Megan.
What the hell? Was Tristan losing his mind now that Megan was pregnant? That couldn’t be it.
Their love was supposed to be bulletproof.
This man literally planted a love curse for her.
Cameron asked, “Mr. Reid, if you need a personal assistant, I can handle it.”
Tristan glanced over. “You’re a dude. Can you really manage all the tiny details?”
Sensing Tristan was annoyed, Cameron shut up.
Tristan turned back to the woman. “What’s your name?”
With a seductive smile and sultry eyes, she said, “Liliana Martin.”
“Nice name.” Tristan’s lips curved slightly. “Get ready. You’ll be going to a formal event with me tonight. Cameron, arrange a dress and a makeup artist for Assistant Martin.”
Cameron took a sharp breath. “Yes, sir.” He spun around and stormed out, muttering “Scumbag” under his breath.
Late afternoon, just before clock-out, Tristan called Megan. “Hey babe, I’ve got a dinner event tonight. Don’t wait up—eat first and sleep early. I’ll head home as soon as I can.”
Megan smiled. “New secretary going with you?”
“Relax, I’ll be home early.”
“Mm, got it,” she said coolly.
After hanging up, Tristan looked at Liliana. “Help me with my tie.”
She flashed a bright smile. “Sure, Mr. Reid.”
She stepped in close, picked up the silver tie, and began knotting it expertly, her fingertips brushing his neck now and then.
Her movements were just right—not too forward, not too stiff.
“Black suit with a silver tie really looks great on you, Mr. Reid.”
“Oh yeah?” Tristan looked down at her. “Do *I* look good?”
