The Heiress Spoiled by Four Brothers and One Devilish CEO-Chapter 195 Bet She’s Getting Plastic Surgery
"You!" Mrs. Lewis clutched her chest in fury. "Are you all deliberately trying to drive me to death?"
Samuel’s face turned cold instantly. "Well, that’s still better than you trying to ruin all of us!"
Mrs. Lewis staggered slightly and fell against Mrs. Ford, as Mrs. Lewis raised her hand to her forehead.
Samuel pulled out his phone and called for help. "Emergency? Someone just passed out at the Lewis estate."
Twenty minutes later, Mrs. Lewis was being wheeled into the ambulance, with Mr. Lewis and Zachary accompanying her.
Upstairs, Tristan fetched a down jacket, hat, and scarf, and carefully helped Megan bundle up, even putting UGG boots on her feet.
Megan turned to hug Stella warmly. "Mom, Grandpa’s surgery is tomorrow, so we’re staying over at Dreamville tonight. We’ll come back when he’s feeling better."
"Alright. And don’t forget to get your prenatal check-up. You’re almost three months along."
"Got it." Megan then looked at Samuel. "Zeta Prime’s gonna stay here. It seems to get along well with your parrot. I’ll bring you a gift when I’m back."
"Oh man, I finally get a present from my little sis too? I was totally jealous when you gave Brandon a gift!"
Megan chuckled. "Or should I just get you a girlfriend instead? That way Oliver, Brandon, and Jason can all stew in envy?"
"Pass. Girlfriends are too much work. Having a sister like you is enough for me."
Tristan pulled Megan close by the waist. "My woman and the mother of my baby—go find your own."
Watching them, Stella couldn’t help but laugh. "Samuel, spend more time with Tristan. Learn a thing or two about how he won over Megan."
Samuel: "..."
Tristan and Megan drove away from the Lewis estate. From Megan’s bag, Nova Tech popped its head out.
"Ugh, these past few days nearly drove me nuts. Having to look at that witch every day—Nova’s dead inside."
Megan tapped its little head. "What did the old witch say this time?"
Nova said, "She kept mumbling something about wishing Wendy well overseas."
Megan and Tristan exchanged a look. "So Wendy’s been taken out of the country."
Tristan nodded. "There’s no solid info. Oliver didn’t get anything meaningful out of that woman either. Looks like her backers are no joke. I doubt Mrs. Lewis even knows what country Wendy landed in."
Megan rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Bet she’s getting plastic surgery. Her face got messed up—no way she’d dare show up like that, either as herself or with that ruined mug. Even if we don’t go after her, the cops will." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"That’s why I had someone start digging through overseas plastic surgery clinics," Tristan said with a soft smile, seeing how sharply she was thinking.
Megan pouted. "My man’s such a genius."
She hugged his arm, totally smitten. "I just love you so much."
"Just love?"
Megan grinned. "Crazy kind of love."
"Now that’s more like it."
At the Reid family estate...
Rachel was standing by the gate, rubbing her hands to stay warm, while Kai was trying to warm her hands too.
The man spoke with a mix of scolding and concern, "You couldn’t just wait inside until the car came in?""Does this show enough sincerity?"
Kai tightened the scarf around Rachel’s neck. "You stay out here any longer and you’ll land yourself in the hospital. If you catch a cold, you won’t be allowed near Megan. Pregnant women getting sick is no joke."
"Oh? So how do you know that? You’ve tested it with someone else before?"
Kai flicked her on the forehead. "Keep talking nonsense and I’ll make you the pregnant one."
"Seriously?" Rachel’s eyes sparkled with mischief. "I’ve been waiting for you to say that, you know? Been on my mind forever!"
"...Have some shame, will ya?"
"Why are you blushing? I’m totally chill here."
Kai poked her cheek. "You really have no filter... no shame."
"Kai, since your folks already approve of me, how about we give it a go tonight?"
He swallowed a bit hard. "I’m a gentleman, okay?"
"So is my brother. But if you wanna be proper about it, how about we get our marriage license first? Then it’s all legit."
Rachel carefully watched his face after saying that. But seeing no response, she shrugged. "Never mind, we can wait..."
"Tomorrow sounds like a good day. Let’s make it happen."
Rachel froze, then broke into an ear-to-ear grin as her eyes lit up in disbelief.
She jumped on him, and his hands instinctively went to support her thighs.
"I knew you had indecent thoughts about me! Just wouldn’t admit it until now!"
Kai’s mouth twitched. Where the hell was the logic in that?
"Getting that license isn’t about sleeping with you. It’s because I love you."
Rachel’s grin turned sweet. That was the first time he ever said he loved her. She cupped his cheeks and kissed him twice, loudly.
Just then, Mr. Reid happened to walk by. One look at the scene and he immediately rubbed his eyes.
"Grandpa! Kai and I have decided to get married!"
That made the old man pause. "Already made up your mind? No more picking and choosing?"
Kai: "..."
"Skinny as a stick... doesn’t seem like the Lee family’s got much to show off."
Kai: "..."
He cleared his throat. "Don’t worry, Grandpa. I’ll be good to Rachel."
Mr. Reid waved it off. "No worries. If you treat her badly, Tristan will want a word with you."
Speak of the devil. A black Maybach rolled slowly into the driveway and parked up front.
Tristan stepped out, opened the door, and helped Megan out of the car.
Rachel quickly hopped off Kai and ran over to Megan. She rubbed her frozen red hands together, then threw her arms around her. "Megan, I missed you so much!"
"It’s only been a few days. You just miss the chefs at Dreamscape Manor, don’t you?"
Rachel chuckled. "Busted! But really, it’s Kai who’s hungry. I just missed you and Tristan."
Kai: "..."
Mr. Reid waved them all inside. "Come in already. Don’t let Megan get cold."
The old mansion was quieter than usual. When Tristan saw Nathan walking down the stairs, he greeted him with respect. "Dad."
Nathan smiled, "We’ve got a new cook. I was worried Megan wouldn’t like the food. Her taste might’ve changed, so I was about to go order something myself."
Megan stood up from the sofa. "As long as it’s not too fishy or spicy."
Tristan knew she loved spicy food, but ever since his injury, she avoided it—worried it would affect his healing.
"Alright. I’ll go place the order myself. Feels safer that way."
After all the craziness they’d been through, Nathan didn’t want to risk anything else. When it came to food, he’d rather take care of it personally.
Right then, a gentle woman walked in, carrying two boxes of pastries.
