The Heavenly Dao System-Chapter 104: Humiliated To Death
Deng Cong was livid when he heard Ye Ming still taunting him.
"Hmph, arrogant brat!" He snorted and rushed toward him with insane speed.
As he approached Ye Ming closer, Deng Cong noticed that Lin Loi and Sha Wong were looking at him funny.
It was as if they were baffled as to why he chose to attack Ye Ming out of everyone in the Justice Hall.
’Hah, are they frightened to death?’ Amused, Deng Cong didn’t think much of it and closed the distance between him and Ye Ming.
Soon, he utilized his demonic aura and demonic technique in hopes of turning Ye Ming into a meat paste.
With an overwhelming amount of pressure, Deng Cong glee cheerfully as he anticipated Ye Ming to be killed horrifyingly.
"That’s what you get for meddling in something out of your league!" Deng Cong shouted thunderously.
He had never planned on doing anything to Ye Ming, to begin with. His goal all along was the alchemists in the upcoming competition, so one could say that Ye Ming brought his own demise for being meddlesome.
Just when Deng Cong thought he had killed Ye Ming and was about to retrieve Chu Dong, a voice startled him deeply.
"Seriously, that was your best shot?" To the bewilderment of most people in the Justice Hall, or more specifically, the people from Blue Wind Sect, Ye Ming emerged unscathed after the dust had scattered.
Upon seeing this scene, Deng Cong’s eyes widened in disbelief. That attack of his from earlier was his full power. After all, he vented everything he got against Ye Ming.
Only Lin Loi, Tao Wang, and Sha Wong remained unperturbed by the situation.
These three had witnessed the miraculous ability of Ye Ming from a while ago.
Lin Loi was initially frightened by Deng Cong’s transformation, but her worries subsided after seeing Deng Cong decide to court death.
Had Deng Cong targeted other people in the Justice Hall, she would have been worried.
But Ye Ming?
Seriously?
What kind of sick joke was that?
"What a clown demon we got." Lin Loi commented.
Sha Wong didn’t say anything, but his expression alone indicated that he agreed with Lin Loi’s statement.
Meanwhile, Deng Cong felt humiliated. His face burned red from the embarrassment as he once again dashed toward Ye Ming to unleash another killing blow.
"Brother, you already made your move once." Ye Ming chuckled and flickered his hand.
In the blink of an eye, Deng Cong was slammed straight to the ground. Cracks started to appear from the ground due to the impact.
Stupefied, Deng Cong wanted to get up, only to realize he couldn’t. There was an invisible form of pressure constantly pressing him down.
More importantly, he found his demonic qi leaking out in multiple outlets. His strength rapidly deteriorated and he finally began to panic.
’What’s going on? How am I losing my demonic qi?’ Deng Cong was unwilling to accept this outcome. This transformation was something he paid heavily to commence, and it was supposed to last at least half an hour.
Yet at this moment, he felt no different than a deflated balloon, slowly losing all the helium inside.
"Stop acting like some shocked animal." Ye Ming suddenly snorted and glared at him with a disgusted expression.
"Imagine being an elder of a respected sect and could have nearly everything you want. Yet you still choose to become someone’s dog and want to ruin my enjoyment. Even thousands of lives aren’t enough to compensate for the damages you’ve done to me."
’What is he talking about?’ Deng Cong’s pupil constricted as he couldn’t understand how he did any damage to him.
They had never even met before. This was their first encounter and interaction!
When Ye Ming saw his aggrieved and confused look, he ultimately sighed and pointed at Chu Dong.
"You mess with a lot of women, so why the hell did you give birth to such a retard?"
By now, Deng Cong was no longer surprised that his relationship with Chu Dong was exposed by Ye Ming.
Compared to his ties with the demons, the matter of him having a son was laughable.
The only thing that kept his sanity alive despite losing his demonic power was how and when he got investigated by someone.
There was simply no way Ye Ming could figure all of this out by himself.
"Are you perhaps curious how I came to know your heinous deed?" To his dismay, Ye Ming suddenly raised the question. It was as if he wanted to tease him to death.
Still, Deng Cong had to bite onto this tease and nodded vigorously.
"I want to know!" He clenched his fist tightly and demanded. He knew that he was already a goner since he chose to make this move.
Therefore, he won’t plead for mercy whatsoever. Instead, he wanted to know where did it go wrong?
He had always been cautious and amiable to others. It was just impossible for anyone to suspect him from out of nowhere.
"Ah, so you do want to know." Ye Ming nodded in agreement and said, "Well, the answer is..."
Right as Deng Cong and everyone else had their ears perked up, seemingly waiting for the revelation.
Ye Ming suddenly laughed and gave a middle finger.
"You seriously think I will tell you? What a joke!"
Instantly, Deng Cong vomited a mouthful of blood. He was so frustrated and aggrieved that Ye Ming would suddenly taunt him.
In the end, his eyes lost color as he plopped to the ground.
He didn’t die from losing his demonic qi. He didn’t die from suffering a major injury.
Rather than those causes, he was instead humiliated to death like a mere worm.
Despite Ye Ming being an expert, he didn’t hold any integrity or honor. He ruthlessly messed with him and toyed with him, causing him to forever be confused by his downfall.
"FATHER!" It was also at this moment that Chu Dong realized his father died from such a miserable cause. He never dared to call him Father because their relationship had to be kept quiet.
Unfortunately, no one cared about Chu Dong who was sobbing in tears. Even though he crawled his way to hold Deng Cong’s lifeless body, nobody expressed any sympathy.
"Alright, the show’s over. The demons’ plot has been halted and we can now commence the alchemy competition."
