The construction site was in chaos.

When Li Qing arrived, he saw a crowd that had formed three layers inside and three layers outside.

"I was already communicating with the family. I’d cover the medical expenses and send the child to the hospital first. The family agreed, but then a group of university students rushed in, led by this guy."

"Make way!" Li Qing shouted at the refined young man, "Do you realize what you’re doing? If anything happens to that child, you’ll be the killer!"

"The killers are you people. We’re just upholding justice!" the young man called out firmly, "Your construction site doesn’t set up warning signs, safety nets, or even a gatekeeper, posing a massive safety hazard."

"Don’t give me that, just let us take the child to the hospital!" Li Qing yelled anxiously.

The thinnest steel bars on the construction site were as thick as fingers; getting a foot impaled by such an object could lead to excessive blood loss.

If the wound got infected, it would be life-threatening.

"Until the police arrive, none of you will meddle with the scene!" the young man cried out, "I’m telling you, all of us students study law, and we’ve come to the countryside to spread legal awareness."

"I know all about you unscrupulous bosses’ usual practices. After an accident, you exploit the ignorance of rural people, hoping to settle the matter with a few hundred bucks. Let me tell you, not this time. You will definitely pay the price for this incident!"
