The Happy Farmer Wanderer-Chapter 389 Qin Wenjun Collapsed_1
By the time most of the guests had left, Li Qing was also pretty much drunk.
After that, he drank quite a bit of sobering soup and strong tea, but his vision was still hazy.
Gong Ge, who had been busy elsewhere, finally came over.
Seeing Gong Ge looking like a silly goose in formal attire, Li Qing said irritably, "Gong, you really screwed me over this time. How could you forget to tell me about the task Lü Zong assigned?"
Gong Ge wiped the sweat from his forehead and sat down next to Li Qing, "Brother, stop it, I got scolded enough today already. I didn’t just forget to notify you, I forgot a lot of people."
"I always had a bad memory, and it gets even worse when I’m busy. Damn it, Lü Zong should never have let me handle this. You have no idea how busy I’ve been these days, I literally wanted to chop myself into pieces."
Li Qing said only one sentence, but it triggered a tirade of complaints from Gong Ge.
From the kitchen to the front desk, it seemed like he was involved in everything.
As Li Qing listened, he started to appreciate that the guy was indeed busy.
But he was busy with the wrong things!
He should have delegated tasks he could have had others do, instead of micromanaging and forgetting other things.
"Alright, that’s enough, my ears are going to get a problem from listening," Li Qing said, hurriedly waving his hand.
"It doesn’t look like there’s anything left for me to do here, so I’ll be taking off."
"Don’t rush, Lü Zong will definitely have plans for us tonight," Gong Ge said, grabbing Li Qing’s arm. "I’ll tell you, I’ve recently found a small place, a mysterious little place full of nursing students. They’re so lively, all in their early twenties, tight and fun, I’ll take you there tonight to see for yourself."
"I’ve drunk almost a kilogram of liquor today, I even see you all blurred, what’s the point in going? Can’t you see that I’m drunk?" Li Qing said as he shook his head, "I need to go home and sleep, some other time, some other time."
"Drunk?" Gong Ge waved his hand in front of Li Qing’s eyes, "I really didn’t notice, actually I drank more than you."
"I can tell!" Li Qing said exasperatedly.
Gong Ge wasn’t drunk, but he wasn’t in great shape either, his speech slurred.
"It’s nothing, just a bit of alcohol, stay the night," Gong Ge insisted.
"I’m leaving, it’s not happening," Li Qing got up, patted Gong Ge on the shoulder, and slipped away.
When he got downstairs, he greeted Lü Zong who had already wound down, then caught a cab back to the village. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
By this time, it was already past eight in the evening.
Having drunk for nearly an entire day, Li Qing felt he had made great progress to be in his current state.
At least this time he hadn’t blacked out, nor had he embarrassed Lü Zong.
But after getting out of the taxi, he realized something was wrong; he couldn’t stand steady on his feet.
Li Qing tried taking a few steps, but his head was incredibly heavy and he stumbled around.
Having no choice, he sat down by the roadside and took out his phone to call Han Mei.
But after fumbling around for a while, he couldn’t find his phone.
"Why are you sitting here?"
A voice suddenly rang in his ears.
Li Qing opened his eyes in a daze and saw a figure, thin and tall, it seemed to be Wu Xingxing.
"Xingxing? I think I drank too much!"
Li Qing swayed his head, speaking in a dazed manner, and stood up by grabbing onto her waist with both hands.
Qin Wenjun, who was grabbed by Li Qing, stiffened immediately, and a fierce anger flashed in her eyes.
"What are you touching my waist for?" Qin Wenjun gritted her teeth and snarled, grabbing Li Qing’s waist and twisting it hard.
"Hiss... ah, that hurts!" Li Qing exclaimed in pain, "Why are you so fierce today?"
"I didn’t mean to drink so much. I just couldn’t get away. I won’t drink that much next time. Come on, give me a kiss."
Qin Wenjun got startled and quickly extended her hand to stop Li Qing’s mouth from coming any closer.
"Don’t be mad, it really won’t happen again," Li Qing mumbled hazily.
In his drunken mind, Wu Xingxing was simply angry because he had drunk too much.
Seeing that Wu Xingxing was dead set against being kissed, Li Qing’s hands glided upwards, and abruptly he grasped that pair of perky fulness.
"Xingxing, what have you been eating these days? They seem to have gotten a lot bigger!"
Qin Wenjun’s face suddenly changed color, and she quickly broke free from Li Qing, lifting her leg and kicking him away.
Weakened and feeble, Li Qing fell onto his butt on the ground, shaking his head and saying, "You want to murder your own husband, huh!"
Qin Wenjun’s eyebrows shot up, and a murderous glint really flashed in her eyes, "You dare to touch me there, you bastard, I’ll kill you!"
"Which part of your body haven’t I touched?" Li Qing, lost in his own world, shook his head and sighed, "Angry women can’t be reasoned with; forget it, I won’t touch anymore, let’s sleep."
Li Qing turned over right there and embraced a nearby stone pier, falling asleep against it.
Before long, faint snoring sounds began to emanate.
Qin Wenjun was dumbstruck, not knowing where to let her raised fist fall.
She stared at Li Qing for a good while, then glanced over at Han Mei and the others, too busy at the barbecue stall to spare a moment.
Qin Wenjun’s shoulders slumped in defeat, "You bastard, I’m only doing this for your sister-in-law’s sake!"
She laboriously dragged Li Qing up, draping Li Qing’s arm over her shoulder and half-pulling, half-carrying him out of the street.
As she passed the barbecue stall, she called out to Han Mei from a distance to tell her she would take Li Qing home first.
"Little Qin, that’s really kind of you, I’m truly tied up here," Han Mei called back.
Qin Wenjun waved her hand, dragging Li Qing towards their home through gritted teeth.
Once she was far enough away from the barbecue stall, she quickly took a breather and hoisted Li Qing onto her back.
The previous position was simply too much for her to handle.
But she was afraid of being seen by others, scared to carry him on her back.
"You bastard, letting you take advantage of me for once!"
"Really, you don’t look fat at all, but why are you so heavy? My goodness, you’re crushing me!"
Qin Wenjun would walk a few steps and then stop for a break, exhausted to the point of breathlessness.
The Li Qing residence, normally quite near, now seemed as far away as the end of the earth in her eyes.
The soft and tender body in her arms, however, instinctively awakened Li Qing.
He lay hazily on Qin Wenjun’s shoulder, asleep, yet his hand naturally slipped through the neckline.
With remarkable accuracy, it seized the pliant fullness in his palm.
"Ah!"
Qin Wenjun screamed, trying to throw Li Qing off instantly.
But Li Qing clung to her like an octopus firmly stuck in place, his legs entwined with hers, impossible to shake off.
"You bastard, get your hand out, out!" Qin Wenjun was on the verge of collapse.
That part of hers had never been touched by a man.
"They really do seem bigger!" Li Qing muttered.
That was probably the only instinct left in his consciousness.
"You bastard, are you feigning sleep? Take your hand off!" Qin Wenjun roared.
