The Guardian gods-Chapter 182

There will be a recent drop on my release of Chapters since i have a school project that will last for about 5 weeks. I would still post Chapters when I have the chance or opportunity to do so but I would like you guys to know that. Thanks for your support all this while.

As Nana finished her explanation, the gods exchanged thoughtful looks, absorbing the weight of her words. Mahu raised a hand, seeking clarification. "So, in essence, ascended gods derive power from faith and worship, but origin gods have a deeper connection to their concept, gaining power as long as it’s relevant. Is that correct?"

Nana nodded approvingly. "Exactly, Mahu. Origin god’s draw power from the very essence of their being, whereas ascended gods rely more on the belief and reverence of mortals. It’s a subtle but significant difference."

While the gods were taking in Nana words’, she herself was taking a subtle glance at them before sighing and spoke up "My children, I hope you understand that me withholding information from you isn’t always because i mean to do bad by you"

Jaws wanted to say something put Nana raised her hand "Regarding the killing of a god, I have another information that i am withholding and I believe i do so for a good reason. I am doing that not from a planet consciousness perspective but from a mother’s perspective when i say that i don’t want you to go down that path"

Glancing at the gods "This secret is something i am sure you will come across yourselves in the nearing future, i hope by then you will understand and come to like your way of existence a bit more"

All the gods looked flabbergasted at Nana’s word, not expecting her to drop this news but at the same time it got them curious on what it is she is hiding. Jaws spoke up "We understand what you say mother but we don’t like when information is being held as a leverage against us when we have someone like you on our side"

"The demon words made it seem like existence like your hide information to serve your own purpose and that in a way made us have some doubt about you, we question ourselves on what whether we can or can not believe words from you"

Nana nodded to show her understanding "I understand your perspective in things like this, but I can not promise anything to you my children. I am a being capable of thought and emotion myself meaning like any other being i ultimately choose what i believe is best for me and my family"

Crepuscular spoke up "Are you saying that we can’t always depend on you?"

"Not exactly, but rather it’s time for you as gods to figure out your own source of communication" Nana saying that looked deeply at Keles for some reason which Ikenga picked up.

Standing up Nana "I would like to be left alone now"

The gods looked at each other before opening a portal to their realm, Ikenga at the last second established a mental contact with Keles informing her of his observation to which Keles looked back at him and Nana before nodding.

As Ikenga headed back to his realm, On the fiery slopes of the volcano, the whole scene’s a chaotic mix of molten rock and ash. Buildings cling to the mountain’s curves, spewing out smoke like they’re breathing fire themselves.

Down below, burly Apelings with fur as red as the flames haul a carriage loaded with shiny new weapons. But then, the whole mountain starts shaking, like it’s about to blow its top.

Up at the peak, in that factory-like building, there’s Ember, Ikem’s son, hammering away at glowing-hot iron. But when the mountain starts rumbling, he looks up to which his eyes seemed to see beyond the building he was on at something massive emerging from the volcano’s depths.

Ember drops his hammer, his eyes lit up with fire, and he strides out, flames shooting from his legs like rockets. He heads towards this colossal figure with wings, all fiery red like the heart of the mountain.

"Elder Red, what’s seems to be the problem" Ember asked as Red’s huge head came closer to him.

"Nothing is wrong boy. But it is time I go see your grandfather, it’s been a long time" Red answered Ember as he huffed out crackling red flames from his nose.

Ember who is no longer bothered by normal flames felt the long lost sensation of warmth as he smiled "I would also like to see him, mind if i come with you"

Red loud laughing sound spread across the mountain "I wish i could do that son but fate hasn’t made it possible for you to meet him this time"

Sadness flashed across Ember eyes before he responded "Extend my greeting to him"

Red wings extended behind him before he heard Ember voice speak out once again "What would you like me to say to father about your disappearance?"

"I will leave that to you" Red said as his huge figure took to the sky with a loud draconic roar that spread throughout the whole mountain and beyond.

His takeoff, Caused the hot magma liquid to splash around everywhere. Even ember wasn’t spared from the magma liquid but he only had an expression of taking a hot bath as he held the liquid like a solid object.

His Flaming eyes looked at the magma he was holding noticing its uniqueness, Looking down into the volcano Ember let go of the flame helping him fly as he fell into the volcano. Swimming around the volcano Ember began laughing "Truly a wonderful creature you are Red"

Flying out of the volcano, Ember had with him floating red hot liquid he was quite eager to experiment with.

As Red flew to Ikenga’s realm, he was drawn to the breath of abyss which he flew to only to be met with sight of a large gaping hole that stretched for a long distance, he flew a circle above the hole as his nose twitched catching the scent of figure he was familiar with "Ikem"

"It seems he finally took care of the demon in his place" Looking once again at the hole Red thought to himself "It seems it came with a heavy price too"

Flying off once again where he felt a calling, his huge figure drew a heavy shadow on the creature on the ground as he flew above them. Right after Red flew from the hole a green portal opened where three figures came out from before looking at his figure that was now a small dot from their view.

Ikenga, who was sitting on Osisi eating a golden apple, saw Red heading over to his place; he commanded the realm to have a portal ready to welcome Red’s figure. It didn’t take much time before the red figure appeared in Ikenga’s realm, increasing the temperature rate at the same time.

Ikenga looking at red thought to himself "He really turned to a dragon" Just as Ikenga so was Red doing the same but his attention was also caught on Osisi a friend which he recently made and a figure he recognized "Boros"

Roaring out loud, Red Flew into the red like he was about to ram into it when Ikenga’s figure dropped the apple he was eating as he also flew out to meet Red’s figure half way.

The two crashes caused a shockwave that spread across the realm, Ikenga’s figure all of a sudden dropped like he could no longer fly only to grab hold of Red’s tail which he began to spin around with before throwing red off into distance.

Red caught himself only to be met with the sight of Ikenga with a huge smile on his face following right behind. Opening his mouth where the flames were brewing, Red breathed out the huge flames heading for Ikenga’s figure.

Ikenga with a thought created a whole flower with red leaves which stood in front of him to absorb the flames but Ikenga frowned as he said "Not a normal flame huh?"

Saying that, he imbued the flower with divine energy as it began swallowing up the flames easily. The flame cut off to show the surprised expression of Red which Ikenga snapped his hand as the flower turned into a root with stretched out binding red figure to the ground.

Ikenga flew down with a smile on his face as Red spoke out "I remember you struggling with imbuing an element with wood before, now you are doing it so easily"

Red magic circle bloomed over Red’s figure as the roots burned away as he stood up with his figure shrinking before the humanoid draconic male with red hair stood before Ikenga. Witha smile on both their face the two hugged as Ikenga said "It’s been a long time Red"

"It truly has, which is why I brought this with me" Red broke the hug as he opened his hand where a huge skinned deer was in his hand and around them appeared Jugs filled with wine.

Throwing the deer to Ikenga, Red said "You making a barbecue is one of the things i missed most in all these years"

Ikenga smiled as he held the deer while walking to a stream to clean the meat but not before instructing Red to gather wood for the fire and the ingredient needed for the barbecue as his realm is filled with them.
