Chapter 165: 165

Crepuscular and Mahu expression didn’t look good at that but Ikenga continued, "You should learn from me brother and find a way to integrate your divinity into the daily lives of the mortals so that such situation you fear for never happens"

"Keles is death and death is something that will always be close to mortals, Jaws rule the water and from water comes life humans need water to live even with no daily worship to Jaws he is being empowered by the mortal usage of water. The same goes with me and my divinities, food comes from nature and food is essential for any civilization"

Ikenga looked at Crepuscular and Mahu "You both are in charge of a celestial phenomenon, which mortlas have no idea how it affects their life, They worship you both out of fear of what you are which is a god but not out of what you are able to do"

"They know the sun shines down on them, yet they have no idea of the benefits it brings them and what losing that will cost them, the same goes for the moon. I agree with you on the mortals becoming complacent with their growth but that is if you let them, it’s time we gods explore beyond our godlings race and let them know of our existence significant" Ikenga said going silent.

Both Mahu and Crepuscular eyes looked lost showing how deep in thought they were, Jaws seeing that everything was done looked back at Osisi and Boros before saying out loud "Since everything is sorted out, I have to head back now, I have a feeling my children are about to face their own demon adversary"

Keles responded "We will be watching brother, I will make sure my children pays your place a visit first to better prepare"

Jaws nodded before a portal of water appeared around him encasing him and soon he disappeared from Ikenga realm back to his realm.

Crepuscular put a hand on Ikenga’s shoulder, before saying "You have given me a lot to think about brother, I will also be taking my leave" the same happened and soon Crepuscular was gone leaving Mahu and Keles behind.

Mahu was out of her deep thought as she looked at Keles who showed that she wasn’t going to leave anytime soon, so she flew close to Ikenga taking hold of his head and Planting a kiss on his lips before she also teleported away to her realm.

Keles seeing the interaction raised a eye at that "Congratulation brother on your relationship progress with our sister"

"Thank you, it’s something that recently happened but i appreciate your kind words"Ikenga answered back with a smile on his face.

"With how close you both are all the time, it was bound to happen anyway. But that shouldn’t be our point of conversation now, we can gossip later and we sort things out ourselves" Keles said as she flew closer to Osisi and Boros this time with Ikenga following right behind.

"So this is the tree that managed to reach its root into my realm and claiming hold of souls that were supposed to be mine," Keles said as her pale fingers touched the bark of Osisi.

"I apologize for his behavior, it wasn’t him that has to be blamed. I am the one since I laid the curse on him to do" Ikenga responded back.

"No need for apologizing, I knew it had something to do with you and besides it wouldn’t have taken any souls away if i didn’t let it" Keles said as she looked back at Ikenga.

"That I am grateful for my sister. How can I repay you for your kindness?" Ikenga asked as he looked back into the face of death.

The both stared at each other before Keles looked away and pointing at both Boros and Osisi, "Their purpose clashes with the existence of my daughter Xerosis in some ways, My daughter has the ability to seek out the unrestful souls of death women who has been done wrong by men at the time when they were still alive and with a sorrowful songs, she awakens those unrestful souls who in turn seek out the men who has done wrong by them"

"Fascinating really, Those souls seek out those men and if by some fate the man is dead. They raise their men back from the dead who in turn serve as slaves and servants protecting them for all eternity against their own will. If the man isn’t dead then he will be haunted by the woman soul until death calls for them man to which they then condemn the man to a unwillful eternal servitude to them"

Ikenga was taken back by that, this was the first time he was hearing this but his attention turned to how does this have anything to do with Osisi and Boros "Resentment" He said out loud to which keles nodded.

"Yes, your cursed spirit and the unrest souls my daughter commands all function under the guise of resentment. Correct me if I am wrong but you have to resent or hate someone to wish them bad upon them?"

"It seems our domains intersect in intriguing ways," Ikenga mused, his gaze shifting between Keles and the entwined figures of Osisi and Boros. "Indeed, resentment forms the foundation upon which both our powers operate"

"My request is for you to let my daughter do as she pleases when she comes across these two" keles said, gesturing at the two entwined figures.

Ikenga stayed silent at that before speaking "You are hoping for something to happen when the three of them meet, maybe even your daughter ascension to godhood"

"Indeed," Keles answered back.

"Interesting" Ikenga thought to himself, From the short description of the girl’s capabilities. If she was to ascend to godhood, she could firmly hold on to the position of a god of justice with both the souls and the cursed spirit seen as her agent of justice.

"She might even get the domain of resentment under her, I want her" Ikenga thought of the possibilities of what could be possible if he could get his hands on her. Turning over to keles with a look of anticipation Ikenga answered "I agree"

Keles said nothing back, instead she stared at Ikenga through her skull like head. Ikenga didn’t know how but he felt the emotion conveyed through her eyes which was "Envy" Keles opened her mouth and said "I have known among our siblings you are the brightest and right now i know you thought of something good"

"I want a share of it since it concerns my daughter," Keles said as Ikenga brows furrowed.

"What gave you the idea that I will gain something from this?" Ikenga asked a bit confused.

"Unlike our other siblings, me and you bear a lot in common which is why our sins don’t differ much from the other. You are greed and I’m envy, you always want more and you get it, in turn I envy that you can get more so in turn I also want to have you have" Keles said back to Ikenag who was able to understand that she was smiling at the moment.

Ikenga smiled back before saying "You know it should be the opposite considering you are the older one. I am supposed to act like the needy sibling not the other way around"

A portal opened behind Keles who flew into as her voice sounded back to Ikenga like a whisper " That’s what happens when you don’t act like the younger sibling, so no complaining" she said as the portal closed right behind her.

Ikenga with his hands behind him dropped his humanoid god form back into his human form, Looked at two sleeping giants with a smile on his face, even right now he could feel the curses acting on people turning them into monsters.

At the same time he was feeling the prayer and thanks of those who have been done bad by those who have been cursed. One thing he found weird was how there were few of the golding race affected by the curse, maybe because their way of living isn’t as harsh as the humans.

"I can’t wait to see what you both will develop to in the future" Ikenga said as his figure disappeared from where he was, Only to appear on one of the branches on Osisi where he laid down with his eyes closed.

Down on the human kingdom, attention is turned to one of the human soldiers who was now facing a cursed human turned monster. As he swung his sword the human couldn’t help but think on how life seems to be into a torture since the awakening on the gods.

Right now, he was facing a cursed monster with a big mouth full of teeth. The worst part about this was how just being close to the curse he feels the huge urge to eat, to make matters worse the monster smells amazing. He likes roast meat and this monster has the most delicious roasted meat scent ever that he could feel drools leaving out from the corner of his mouth.ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
