Chapter 375: Chapter 375- A Rare Opportunity

Sol flung his head back in haste just in time for the broken tip of this broadsword to stab upward past his face, taking away a few strands of his hair in the process.

Sol retreated a few meters and watched the strange sight unfolding before him.

Out of the gray soil, a skeleton emerged. It was short as it stood upright, around four feet. Its bones still had soil on it while some cracks snaked across its surface.

However, they were far from fragile, and instead, they radiated immense physical strength as the skeleton hefted the descript-looking broadsword that was nearly three times its size.

Bang!

The broadsword smashed into the ground and left a long trail in the soil as the skeleton shot towards Sol. Its body simultaneously erupted with Death Energy which sent out powerful fluctuations into the surroundings.

From those terrifying fluctuations, Sol could tell that its strength was actually at the peak of the Earth Expansion Realm!

Perhaps if Sol was an ordinary cultivator who didn’t cultivate his Fleshly Body and only relied on Martial Skills or Sword Arts, he would be at a severe disadvantage fighting this thing. Especially when he couldn’t replenish his Aether Energy if it ran out.

However, that wasn’t the case.

The short skeleton was fast, and Sol paused his retreat before twisting his body to the side.

The broadsword of the skeleton slashed past him, carrying with it intense winds as it smashed into the ground.

Sol glanced at the results of the attack as well as the dull edge of the broadsword and noted that rather than being severed if he was hit by this sword he would be crushed to death.

However, as the short skeleton pressed forward, Sol calmly dodged its attacks.

He didn’t even need to use his Heavenly Eyes to read its moment as he could clearly see its bones and predict the angle of its swings.

Both Sol and this skeleton were at the peak of the Earth Expanse Realm in terms of physical strength, but this skeleton was only a mindless creature that couldn’t properly use its strength.

Sol might not even need to try and read its movements as it was only using a single move to attack Sol, a downward slash.

After a few more swings, Sol’s eyes narrowed.

Bang!

The skeleton’s sword smashed into the ground next to Sol kicking up dirt. Without hesitation, Sol’s leg ruthlessly shot out and he sent a kick straight to the creature’s sternum.

With a bang, the force caused the creature’s chest to collapse while sending to flying. However, Sol wasn’t finished, to make sure this thing stayed dead, he took a step and his figure blurred as he used Heavenly Steps to appear in front of the skeleton.

His hand glowed golden as he slapped his palm down on the creature’s head, causing it to explode. The force of the palm then traveled to the rest of its body and completely destroyed it, leaving nothing but fragmented bones that scatter in the surroundings.

After Sol destroyed the skeleton, his gaze turned to Cian who had been silently watching him throughout this battle.

Despite Sol seeming to be too focused on the battle to care about Cian, in reality, he had most of his attention on him.

Sol was about to take a step forward to fly into the air and confront Cian, but the flame of the torch behind Cian suddenly swayed.

The fragmented bones of the skeleton Sol destroyed trembled before sinking into the soil.

Sol froze before turning to see another skeleton appear out of the ground next to the broadsword.

If not for the similar cracks on the surface of its bones, Sol would have thought it was a different undead creature. The aura that now surrounded it had risen from the peak of the Earth Expanse Realm and directly entered the Sky Expanse Realm.

Sol’s face hardened at the frightening notion that this creature’s strength would increase every time he destroyed it.

But this undead skeleton was not only stronger but a black mist that gave off a strong sense of death and corruption was swirling around it.

It actually adapted to Sol’s attacks. From the ominous aura radiating from this mist, even Sol wouldn’t dare touch it directly.

Grabbing the broadsword, the undead skeleton took a step that cracked the ground before charging towards Sol.

Sol no longer suppressed his cultivation and with a hand sign, the slightly corroded seals on his Mortal Palace were removed.

His Earth Expanse Realm aura spread out and caused ripples in the surroundings. A faint tyrannical aura could be felt mixed within his cultivation aura.

At the same time, the golden Fist Intent surrounding him directly tripled. Coupled with this with his physical strength, Sol’s aura was no weaker than this undead skeleton’s.

As the skeleton rushed forward, it was like a moth flying toward a flame.

Sol clenched his fist and sent out two successive punches. Two giant golden fists shot toward the undead skeleton.

The undead skeleton swung its broadsword at the first fist projection and a loud bang echoed out.

The undead skeleton destroyed the fist projection but was forced to retreat several meters. But before it could regain its balance, the second fist projection slammed into its body, which directly exploded into fragmented pieces.

Sol paused and waited. Sure enough, the flame of the torch swayed a second time. The shattered remains of the undead skeleton seeped into the ground before it reformed and appeared on the surface.

However, Sol completely ignored it as he turned to look at Cian in the sky.

With a flip of his palm, a large golden bow appeared in his hands.

Without hesitation, Sol pulled back the bow.

Buzz!

A buzzing sound echoed out as the Fist Intent around him swirled and coalesced into a large golden arrow between the bow.

The void trembled under the pressure of this arrow, as Sol aimed it towards Cian.

In response to Sol’s actions, Cian remained completely unperturbed.

Sol’s eyes narrowed before he released the arrow with a woosh. As it shot through the air, the golden aura caused the void to tremble uncontrollably while a domineering and destructive aura erupted from it.

It was as if this arrow alone could pierce the very heavens themselves.

In an instant, it appeared mere meters away from Cian. However, surprisingly, the arrow shot past him and went towards the torch behind him.

But even then, Cian made no move to stop Sol’s arrow. He continued to stare at Sol with an expressionless face as if nothing had just happened.

The reason for this was seen right away. Sol’s arrow merely passed through the torch and continued on its trajectory into the distance.

Sol lowered his bow and looked at the torch with both curiosity as well as confusion. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

’Just what kind of ability is that? I can’t sense any energy from it, neither Holy Energy, Aether Energy, or Mana.’

Sol wasn’t in a rush to defeat Cian to leave this place, as he sensed that the longer he stayed here the more it felt like his understanding of Domains was slowly deepening.

Why would he leave and give up such a rare opportunity?

However, he did find everything about this Cian person strange. Not only was his Domain ability to conjure a Sky Expanse Realm undead creature weird and shocking, but he was strange as well.

Sol couldn’t sense a scrap of cultivation from his body, and yet still he gave him a dangerous feeling.

But this wasn’t a matter of him not being able to sense Cian’s cultivation base because he was hiding it, rather, it felt like he didn’t have one.

Sol found everything strange, and his curiosity only kept growing stronger and stronger.

However, his curiosity suddenly turned into dumbfoundment.

The undead skeleton he destroyed reformed for a second time, but its aura had not changed, instead, the torch swayed again, and another one undead skeleton appeared.

Now there were two, however, it didn’t end there.

One by one undead skeletons covered in dirt started crawling out of the ground.

Some resembled the short skeletons from before, while others looked like normal humans. There were even what looked to be skeletons of Spirit Beats mixed in with the undead crowd.

In only a few breaths worth of time, over a hundred of these creatures appeared around Sol. But even then, the number only continued to grow.

Sol upon seeing this, couldn’t help but suck in a cold breath of air while his scalp went numb.

If all of these were like the first undead skeleton, didn’t that mean he had to fight hundreds of Sky Expanse Realm undead creatures?

Sol was utterly horrified by this notion, and he realized he might actually be in danger.
