The Greatest Village Doctor In The World-Chapter 212: Have You Taken a Liking to Me?
Miao Han nodded: "What’s done is done, regret won’t help now. I’ll try to mitigate the impact and limit the spread of this incident, but you also have to remember, never to be too aggressive in the future!"
Upon hearing this, Ling Feng quickly nodded: "Thank you for the reminder, Grandpa, I’ll keep it in mind."
Listening to their conversation, Miao Lanlan was somewhat unconvinced: "Isn’t it nothing? Ling Feng is so powerful, who would dare to oppose him?"
"You know too little about the world. There are many skilled people out there, and human hearts are too treacherous, it’s always good to be cautious," Miao Han said.
Miao Lanlan, who was fearless by nature, was about to argue when her older sister Miao Ruoruo pulled her aside, so she immediately kept quiet.
"Alright, I’ve said what I needed to say, you all go back and rest," Miao Han said.
Ling Feng and the two sisters left the study and then went upstairs together.
"I’ll go with you to pick pine mushrooms tomorrow!"
Miao Lanlan suddenly asked before going back to her room.
Ling Feng and Miao Ruoruo both were taken aback and exchanged a glance.
"Sure, you’re quite idle anyway, aren’t you?" Ling Feng said with a smile.
Miao Lanlan gave him a sideways glance but didn’t continue to argue and snorted before heading back to her room.
Miao Ruoruo looked at Ling Feng and hesitated before saying, "Thank you for today!"
"No need to be polite," Ling Feng replied with a smile.
"All of this was because of me, I was very worried when you were in danger. Thankfully it was resolved, otherwise, I would have felt extremely guilty," Miao Ruoruo said, looking down.
Ling Feng was touched by her words; was this considered a confession of her feelings?
Just as he was secretly pleased, Miao Lanlan suddenly poked her head in from the doorway, looking suspiciously at the two: "You aren’t whispering behind my back, are you?"
Ling Feng was left speechless, and Miao Ruoruo’s face reddened as she quickly turned around and pushed her sister into the room: "What nonsense are you talking about, you silly girl!"
After the sisters went back to their room, Ling Feng stood at the door for a moment, then returned to his own room.
The next morning, after breakfast, Ling Feng bid farewell to Grandpa Miao and left the estate in his car.
Just as the car was leaving the main gate, another vehicle that seemed to have been waiting at the roadside suddenly opened its door.
"Huh, isn’t that Li Fei’er?" Miao Lanlan said.
Ling Feng looked and, sure enough, was a bit surprised: "Really?"
The car carrying the three of them stopped, and Li Fei’er ran over and directly opened the car door to get in.
"You, what is this about?" Ling Feng asked, dumbfounded.
"I’m going with you guys!" Li Fei’er said cheerfully.
The Miao sisters were also surprised and turned to look at her: "Just you alone? Where’s your dad?"
"He’s too busy to come, so he had the driver bring me over. Don’t worry, sisters, I can take good care of myself!" Li Fei’er said.
All three were left somewhat speechless, and after looking at one another, Miao Ruoruo could only say: "Well, then you might as well join us for a trip."
Li Fei’er’s eyes twinkled: "Okay!"
Miao Lanlan, sitting in the passenger seat, gave Ling Feng a strange look, prompting him to ask, "What are you looking at me for?"
"Oh, nothing, do you remember what I told you before?" Miao Lanlan asked with a wink.
Ling Feng suddenly remembered that just two nights ago, he saved Li Fei’er, after which she had asked him some questions about raising a lolita, and he couldn’t help but glare at her helplessly: "Stop it, don’t think nonsense!"
"Hehe!"
Miao Lanlan chuckled, then turned to Li Fei’er and said, "Fei’er, buckle up. We’ll be on the highway soon!"
"Okay!" Li Fei’er nodded.
Glancing at the girl sitting beside him and noticing she was excitedly looking at the scenery outside, paying him no mind, Ling Feng really felt helpless.
Was this little girl planning to stick with him? Why is she even coming with me?
He hesitated for a moment, but couldn’t help asking, "Don’t you need to go to class?"
"I asked for leave!"
Ling Feng: "..."
There was silence on the ride, and after getting off the highway, Ling Feng said to Miao Ruoruo, "My car is still in the county town, take me to get my car first."
"Alright, then I’ll have the truck go to the village and wait."
Miao Ruoruo nodded, turned the car around, and headed straight into the county town.
Before long, they arrived where Ling Feng had stored his tricycle, and the three girls’ eyes immediately bulged with astonishment!
Miao Lanlan confirmed the vehicle Ling Feng had mentioned was this electric tricycle and couldn’t help but snort with laughter, "Ling Feng, are you performing some kind of performance art?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Ling Feng asked, puzzled.
"With your status, you’re actually driving this?" Miao Lanlan questioned.
Ling Feng looked distressed, "I’m just a farmer, I don’t have any status, this vehicle is just convenient for hauling stuff!"
"Alright," Miao Lanlan said with a smile and nodded.
"Come with me, it’s still half an hour’s journey home!"
Ling Feng said and twisted the throttle to leave, but just then, Li Fei’er pushed open the car door, "I want to ride in this!"
"How could this tricycle be more comfortable than Ruoruo’s car?" Ling Feng said in astonishment.
"No, I’ve never ridden in a tricycle before, I want to experience it!" Li Fei’er pouted.
Seeing Miao Ruoruo and her sister gazing at him with meaningful glances from inside their car, Ling Feng immediately felt somewhat burdened, yet found it difficult to refuse, so he just nodded, "Then come on up!"
Li Fei’er immediately hopped on the tricycle, excitedly taking a seat next to him.
After leaving the county town, Ling Feng picked up speed, the wind blowing through Li Fei’er’s hair as the girl excitedly waved her hands and cheered, delighted beyond measure!
"Having such a cute little sister might actually be pretty great, definitely capable of adding a lot of joy," Ling Feng thought to himself.
He drove his tricycle swiftly, with Miao Ruoruo following behind without having to deliberately slow down, and they soon arrived at Shiliu Village.
Looking at the familiar sights of his hometown, Ling Feng suddenly felt the sensation of a long-awaited return, even though he had only been away for two days.
"A golden nest, a silver nest, neither compares to one’s own straw nest, home really is best!" he remarked sentimentally.
Li Fei’er looked at him with a puzzled glance, "What’s so good about this village?"
"Well, in my heart, it’s the best because it’s my home!" Ling Feng said.
"Oh."
Li Fei’er nodded, seemingly understanding.
Ling Feng suddenly remembered something, "By the way, are you afraid of wolves?"
"Wolves?"
Li Fei’er’s already large eyes immediately widened further at the mention, "Are there wolves here?"
"Yes, if you’re scared, you’d better behave, and don’t go running around!" Ling Feng said with a sly grin.
"You’re just trying to scare me, right?" Li Fei’er narrowed her eyes and asked skeptically!
"Don’t believe it? Once we get there, just call out in my family’s backyard and you’ll know!" Ling Feng chuckled.
"Wang Cai?"
Li Fei’er muttered to herself, looking down, then suddenly looked up, "You’re kidding me, right? That’s clearly a dog’s name!"
"Just picked it randomly, believe it or not!" Ling Feng laughed gleefully.
Seeing this, Li Fei’er grew even more skeptical, more convinced that he was just trying to scare her and that there was no wolf at home, only a dog that looked somewhat like a wolf!
