The Greatest Village Doctor In The World-Chapter 2017 - 2016: Countermeasures
Faced with provocation from Country A-San, Lingyun Island didn’t sit idly by. Zoran dispatched warships and submarines to patrol around the island, heading straight for the opponent.
Seeing Lingyun Island’s armed forces approaching, Country A-San’s fleet immediately withdrew, maintaining a certain distance all along.
Once the submarines and warships returned to port, they came back again, re-stationing themselves at their previous position.
Ultimately, Zoran was at a loss, so she contacted Ling Feng to ask what should be done.
After listening, Ling Feng felt somewhat speechless and decided to come to Lingyun Island himself.
Standing on the dock, he could see the ships moored at the horizon, where the sea kissed the sky. Squinting his eyes, Ling Feng remarked, "Are these guys planning to stay long-term at our doorstep?"
"Logically, they can’t unless they have a dedicated supply ship; otherwise, they won’t last long!" Zoran said.
"I should go up and ask. Always being on edge isn’t good for anyone!"
Ling Feng said a word and directly summoned Ghost Dragon.
With a leap, he ascended onto the back of Ghost Dragon, and in a flash, Zoran joined him too.
Turning to glance at her, Ling Feng asked, "Are you coming too?"
"Yes, I want to see what exactly the other side wants to do!" Zoran nodded.
"Alright, let’s go!"
Ling Feng smiled and had Ghost Dragon fly towards Country A-San’s warships.
The distance wasn’t very far; in the blink of an eye, they were above, and then Ghost Dragon lowered its altitude, soon hovering several hundred meters above the fleet.
On the deck, many people quickly emerged, packed densely, raising their fists and looking up.
Seeing that the other side wasn’t attacking, Ling Feng had Ghost Dragon continue to descend and soon they were above a large warship.
Afterward, Ling Feng grabbed Zoran’s hand and leaped, landing on the deck of the warship!
Looking at the Country A-San soldiers opposite them, Ling Feng asked loudly in English, "Where’s your captain?"
"Mr. Ling, I presume? I’m Captain Adili."
With a slightly accented voice, a tall man in a white naval uniform stepped out from the crowd.
The man had dark skin and deep-set eyes, unmistakably a South Asian appearance.
Ling Feng stared at him, asking in a deep voice, "I’ve already explained about Lingyun Island to you all, why do your warships remain here?"
"Sorry, we have not received orders, so we cannot leave!"
Adili said a sentence and continued, "Besides, this is international waters, not within Lingyun Island’s range, so you have no right to interfere with us!"
"That’s indeed true!"
Ling Feng nodded and then laughed, "But you wandering here really is an eyesore!"
"No way, our superiors won’t let us leave; we can only await orders here!"
Adili said in a deep voice, then added, "Moreover, the ownership of Lingyun Island has yet to be determined!"
"What do you mean? You’re still not giving up and want to occupy my island?" Ling Feng squinted and asked.
"That’s up to my superiors; I only follow orders!" Adili said.
Ling Feng let out a sound, looked at him, and asked, "So if your superiors ordered an attack, would you really dare to attack Lingyun Island?"
"It’s a soldier’s duty to obey; for national interests, we fear no one!" Adili said.
Ling Feng burst into laughter, staring into his eyes, "Your country’s rowdy habits, I’m well aware. Thick-skinned intrusions and land grabs have been frequent!"
Adili’s face changed, then he said sternly, "Say what you will, but I’m just a soldier, following domestic orders!"
"Alright, you wait then!"
Ling Feng nodded, had Ghost Dragon lower altitude, and then both jumped back onto its back, swiftly returning to Lingyun Island.
"Boss, these guys are playing rogue, what should we do?" Zoran asked.
Ling Feng laughed, "Though they’re not a threat, like flies buzzing around, it’s pretty annoying!"
After a pause, he mused, "Alright, I’ll get Fei’er to show them some color!"
With a thought, Ling Feng immediately called Li Fei’er, bringing her over from Shiliu Village.
Upon meeting, Li Fei’er ran over with a grin, "Uncle, did you miss me?"
"Uh, sort of."
Ling Feng chuckled, rubbing her hair, "Actually, I need your help with something!"
"What’s up?"
Li Fei’er actually guessed that Ling Feng must have some matter requiring her assistance.
"See those warships over there? Country A-San’s people are playing rogue, wanting to occupy our Lingyun Island. Even after being chased away, they linger at a distance. I want them to suffer a bit!" Ling Feng laughed.
Li Fei’er understood and then asked, "How do you want to do it?"
"Simple, summon your Xuanwu Clan to surround them, cutting off supply ships from getting close. Let’s see how long they can hold out!" Ling Feng smiled.
"Alright, no problem!"
Li Fei’er gave a slight smile and promptly went to the seaside, then extended her hand, and countless black creatures appeared out of thin air, plopping into the sea like dumplings!
The process of releasing the Xuanwu Clan continued for quite a while, leaving Ling Feng a bit dumbfounded, turning to Li Fei’er, "Why are there so many?"
"Their reproduction rate is quick. Before, there were only over a hundred; now, it’s over ten thousand!" Li Fei’er said.
"Uh, that many?"
Ling Feng was directly stunned, then said in astonishment, "Won’t there be more and more afterward?"
"No, the Xuanwu Clan reproduces massively to ensure species quality. Once stabilized, it will stop, probably around twenty thousand." Li Fei’er explained.
"That’s good then!"
Ling Feng nodded, watching the shadowy masses swim into the sea depths, heading directly for the opponent’s fleet, he couldn’t help but chuckle!
Then, he said to Li Fei’er, "Trap them for a few days; I want to see how these rogues will continue playing rogue!"
"They’ll surely beg for mercy afterwards."
Li Fei’er nodded and then said, "But it’s strange, isn’t it? They were chased away once before, why come again this time?"
"That was a merchant, not representing Country A-San. This time national forces eye our Lingyun Island. It’s odd, but maybe someone’s behind it!" Ling Feng said.
"Then it must be the Americans. Country A-San’s been closely associating with them; their president often calls America’s Petro and whatnot!" Li Fei’er remarked.
Ling Feng looked at her, "What? You often watch international news?"
