Chapter 1847: Chapter 1846: The Master Thief

Fortunately, the enticing scene only lasted a few seconds. Nina quickly put on her underwear and slipped into a black dress.

Once she was tidied up, she stepped out of the room.

This estate wasn’t large, with only one building, surrounded by lawns and trees, closely situated to other estates.

Ling Feng watched as Nina walked out, then got into a red sports car parked on the lawn.

Subsequently, the car left the estate, its engine roaring as it headed toward the suburbs.

Ling Feng wasn’t in a hurry to chase after her. He used his Divine Sense to observe the surroundings and found no one was watching Nina; it seemed she was indeed free.

The more he thought about it, the stranger it seemed. Ling Feng started his car and trailed slowly.

He wasn’t in a rush to reveal himself now; he wanted to see what Nina was up to first. Appearing suddenly might interrupt whatever she was doing.

Through his Divine Sense, Nina’s car had reached an entrance of a building resembling a church in the suburbs, and she stopped the car.

Ling Feng followed closely and parked nearby.

He finally saw that inside the church-like building, the ground floor was actually a huge banquet hall. The house clearly belonged to some wealthy individual’s mansion.

Inside, men and women dressed splendidly, holding glasses, chatting and laughing.

Seeing this nighttime scene, Ling Feng smiled bitterly, realizing Nina was there for the party.

Holding a small purse, Nina gracefully got out of the car and stepped into the banquet hall.

It was evident she wasn’t familiar with anyone there. After looking around, she took a glass of wine from a passing waiter and strolled casually in the banquet hall.

Ling Feng monitored the entire scene, watching her leisurely appearance; his curiosity had reached its peak!

Nina moved among the crowd with a calm expression, not observing others, just occasionally sipping her wine, a bit absentminded.

After more than ten minutes, a young man in a tailcoat approached her.

Close by, the man smiled gentlemanly, "Miss, are you here alone?"

"Yes."

Nina glanced at him and nodded slightly.

"Hello, I’m Jack." The man extended his hand.

Nina also extended her small hand and shook his: "Nina!"

The two engaged in some idle chit-chat, while Ling Feng on the periphery was a bit speechless, wondering if Nina came alone out of boredom, perhaps to find a partner here?

In intense curiosity, he realized just watching from the periphery wasn’t enough. So he simply turned off the engine and got out of the car.

Having already disguised himself as a local, he wasn’t worried about being recognized. After quietly crossing the fence, he casually walked toward the banquet hall.

As he walked a few steps, someone quickly approached from afar, asking in a deep voice: "Sir, please show your invitation!"

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng was taken aback; Nina didn’t have anything when she entered through the main gate. How come he was already inside the estate but needed an invitation?

So he curiously asked, "Why me? Others drove in without needing anything?"

"Their license plates are their invitations, but you don’t seem to be on the invited list. I haven’t seen a photo of you, sir!" The other said.

"I see!"

Ling Feng suddenly understood, noticing no one around with his Divine Sense. He smiled, then swiftly struck a pressure point on the person.

"I’m sorry, I’ll inconvenience you a bit!"

The person couldn’t move, showing terror in their eyes. Ling Feng smiled, lifting the person and placing them into the dark shrubs.

Turning around, he stepped into the banquet hall.

Now looking ordinary, Ling Feng didn’t attract any attention, while Nina and Jack were already having a pleasant conversation.

Seeing her radiant smile, Ling Feng was filled with confusion but didn’t approach, just secretly observing from not too far away.

Time ticked by, and the two chatting warmly actually went upstairs.

Ling Feng overheard their conversation. Jack wanted to invite Nina upstairs to look at his collection of antiques, to which Nina readily agreed.

Thinking he might see something inappropriate next, Ling Feng felt speechless and completely baffled.

But unexpectedly, after reaching an office-like room upstairs, as Jack was about to speak smilingly, Nina’s eyes flickered, and she struck instantly!

The man had no time to react, as he was hit on his neck, collapsing limply.

"Huh..."

Ling Feng was even more speechless, realizing Nina indeed had ulterior motives.

Watching her take down Jack, she stepped towards the corner of the study, then fiddled with the bookshelf, finding a hidden switch and pressing it down.

The bookshelf opened, revealing a hidden safe.

The safe was taller than Nina, with a large dial and combination lock on the door. She stepped forward, looked at it for a while, then took out a few slender metal pins from her purse.

"This girl can pick locks?"

Seeing this, Ling Feng was immensely curious.

After fiddling with the lock for a while, there was a click, and the safe opened.

Nina then opened the door, revealing the contents inside.

The safe was large, containing cash, gold bars, and some documents.

But none of these interested Nina. She directly reached for a box, opened it, and took a look.

Inside the box was a pink diamond the size of a ping-pong ball. Upon seeing it, Nina’s eyes lit up. She immediately placed the diamond into her small purse and then returned the box to its place.

Ling Feng internally smiled bitterly, never imagining she turned out to be a diamond thief.

Was this girl short on money, or was there something peculiar about that diamond?

While pondering, Nina had already closed the safe, then pushed the bookshelf back in place, took a look around the room, and walked straight to the window.

Seeing this, Ling Feng knew she was planning to leave quietly, so he thought for a moment and turned towards the outside of the banquet hall.

Once outside, he saw more than a dozen people standing on the lawn, all looking alertly at the second floor!

"Has she been discovered?"

Ling Feng was startled. Glancing up, he saw Nina facing those people, seemingly hesitant about whether to jump down.

But after a moment’s hesitation, she gracefully descended from the window, landing in front of those dozen people.

Battle was imminent as the dozen men lunged forward!

Yet Nina, petite and agile, swiftly dodged their attacks and managed to take down a few people in the process.

Ling Feng remained motionless at the banquet hall entrance, deciding to watch how it played out, thinking Nina shouldn’t be in any real trouble.

The dozen people struggled to catch her but found it quite challenging. Just as Nina was about to break through the crowd and escape, a white figure flashed in the distance, and someone dressed in white swiftly moved forward!
