The Great Thief-Chapter 1926 - Vashj Sis
Chapter 1926: Vashj Sis
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
Within the whole Instance Dungeon, this Boss was of intermediate difficulty. Unlike Leotheras the Blind and the Fathom-Lord Karathress, he didn’t drop T5 pieces. This made his value the same as Hydross the Unstable, but a bit lower than the two bosses that dropped T5 equipment.
If they could kill the first boss, then they should pretty much be able to fight Morogrim Tidewalker.
Resistance equipment wasn’t necessary, nor was an HP with a full buff up to 9K, but it could guarantee that after a team member went through the Water Tomb, wasn’t able to heal in time and got damage from an earthquake, they would still be able to survive and thus reduce the difficulty of fighting.
This Boss’s signature skill was Water Tomb.
This name was indescribably awesome. Every 30 seconds, the Boss would teleport four random targets to certain positions and trap them in bubbles for six seconds. After six seconds, the bubble would explode, doing 3200 ice damage, as well as flinging away the target and those around them, doing about 1000 fall damage.
This skill wouldn’t one shot people. What would really one shot people was the earthquake that would shake those Water Tomb targets who were running away.
After this Boss was finished off, Skill Points were finally dropped.
The one who received the Skill Points was Darkness. As a Tanky Healer, she had a great need for Skill Points. Next came a moment that stirred everyone up. Lu Li was really looking forward to seeing that single-handed sword Talon of Azshara come out.
The Talon of Azshara was once worn by the ancient Kaldorei – it was a single-handed sword named after the moon goddess Azshara. The blade was long and thin, and its appearance dazzled the eyes. Its attributes were Good, considered one of the best T5 weapons.
Because of its superior attributes, as well as its beautiful appearance, it would become one of the most sought-after pieces of equipment, especially liked by Thieves and Warriors, as well as tempting Hunters.
Even in later patches, where its attributes had fallen very far behind, there were still quite a few players who didn’t mind taking the trouble to farm Instance Dungeon for it and hoping for its drop, because they liked its appearance.
High output, has control, could reduce damage, what else could you ask for.
Warriors had priority for this piece of equipment. If Warriors needed equipment, they would let Lu Li know. They liked double-handed swords more, but it was just the defence Warriors that liked single-handed swords, but defence warriors tended to use their priority status on shields instead.
Talon of Azshara (Epic): Damage 132-168, Strength +220, Agility +160, Constitution +100, Slots 2, Special Effect 1: Tide, after use, it deals 800 ice damage to the target directly in the line of the sight of the wearer within 5 yards, and it also reduces their movement speed by 60%, lasts for 2 seconds. Cooldown: 6 minutes. Special Effect 2: summons an air bubble shield, does 1200 damage reduction to the wearer. After the air bubble shatters, it does 300 ice damage to all enemy targets within 5 yards, as well as reduces their movement speed by 60%, lasts for 2 seconds. Cooldown: 6 minutes. Equipment requires level 70. Durability: 420/420.
The Talon of Azshara that the Boss dropped had over five special effects in total, and any two of them could come out. Occasionally, there was a chance that three special effects would come out.
The Talon of Azshara that dropped out today only had two special effects, but these two special effects were really nice.
Without any hesitation, Lu Li swapped his Lord Gronn sword for the Talon of Azshara.
Shame that the Serpent-Coil Braid didn’t drop, it was worth even more than the Talon of Azshara. If Mages had a Serpent-Coil Braid, they either had a lot of points, their stats were off the charts, or they were a rich kid.
The final thing to drop was the Shell of Tide-Calling.
It could summon out a mini Tidewalker. This plaything was both cute and ugly at the same time. It followed behind its master all day. It liked to eat little fish, shrimp, or shells. If his master wanted to cross a river, he would grow bigger and have the master sit on his shoulders to cross.
It was really good at moving around in water.
The fifth Boss was The Lurker Below. Players called it the Fish Head Hotpot. But players generally weren’t able to find it. After Lu Li finished off the little monsters, he went fishing and fished up this Boss.
Although the lake in Serpentshrine Cavern had been polluted, there wasn’t a single creature that could attack in there. Vashj felt very dissatisfied about this. And so, she filled the lake with a heap of man-eating fish, letting them kill each other. After three days, an absolutely ginormous beast surged up in the lake, and so Vashj called this wild beast the Lurker Below, becoming her own pet. If an invader fell into Serpentshrine Cavern’s lake, they would become food for The Lurker Below.
The Lurker Below was an extremely simple Boss, it was basically a giveaway.
It didn’t have anything good, just the Earring of Soulful Meditation. It wasn’t a bad accessory for Priests, according to all those who used it.
The final Boss was Vashj. Vashj was once the maidservant of the Elf Queen Azshara.
The Well of Eternity had exploded, causing a powerful earthquake that destroyed the world’s foundations. However, Queen Azshara and the top Elves actually ended up surviving the disaster.
Queen Azshara and her followers suffered as they were dragged into the roaring sea by the Well of Eternity’s explosion. The cursed Elves had changed their form, becoming snake-like Naga filled with hate.
Queen Azshara’s own hate and anger continued to expand, becoming extremely oppressive. It displayed the evil and resentment she had held in the depths of her inner heart the whole time.
Under this maelstrom, the Naga established a new city, Nazjatar, to gather their power, and as Azshara’s maidservant, who had stuck by her side, Vashj turned into a snake-like Naga too.
Later, she was suddenly summoned by Illidan, leading the Naga guards out to serve Illidan. At the same time, Illidan entered Sargeras’s tomb and saved the Blood Elf prince Kael’thas. Later, because of Northrend’s fruitless attempt to destroy the Frozen Throne, they followed Illidan to escape to the Outlands and occupied it.
Illidan forcibly occupied Black Temple, Kael’thas stayed in The Eye, and Vashj in her humble abode of Serpentshrine Cavern, all becoming overlords of one area.
Vashj Sis wasn’t an easy Boss, it was really normal to have to fight her for a few days.
In these few days, Ruling Sword had entered into the top 32 in the second league match.
Ruling Sword had never faced an opponent like that since they were fighting with Blood Red War Flag. They were ruined like a hot knife cutting through butter. Not only did they lose, they lost hard. Even Blue Universe, formerly part of Drizzle Court, didn’t score a single point.
In the new stronghold battles, Sky Moon had successfully returned the stronghold they got from Gale Legion back to them.
The price was 80 million in real money, which still wasn’t how much Gale Legion had paid for it.
The club took 40 million, and the remaining 40 million was given to those who participated in battle. Everyone got a fair few hundred thousand. Regardless of whether Sky Moon liked it or not, this group of people had become crazy for battle, and Sky Moon kept declaring war on other clubs for various reasons.
Lu Li couldn’t be bothered to deal with them, as long as they protected their own few strongholds, they could keep messing around again and again.
He hoped that more Elite team players would join in. It would then turn into a training ground so that when they become mature, they could occupy more strongholds.
