The Golem Mage-Chapter 434: War Of Sweden City (2).
The Tier 4 Ghoul let out a deafening shriek that echoed through the skies, followed by the Ghouls behind him adding their own chilling and disturbing howls.
As they split into two groups and charged towards the Sweden city guards who still stood their ground against the skeleton soldiers with the exception of the Tier 3 Ghouls staying behind to guard their leader.
The Ghouls moved with incredible speed, descending upon the Sweden city guard army from both sides like a tidal wave.
Alec witnessed the Ghouls viciously attacking the city guards with their claws and teeth , overpowering them in a brutal onslaught, as the Sweden city guards struggled to hold their own against the combined forces of the skeleton soldiers and the Ghouls.
" Release me with a few mages , and I will swiftly deal with this issue," Pale suggested, but Alec simply glanced at him before shaking his head.
"You have not faced them before, so you underestimate their cunning, Lucas will handle this," Alec informed Pale before giving out instructions to Lucas.
"Take your team and about a hundred mages, prioritize selecting mages with flame element, as I want to see those Ghouls eliminated, and be wary of the Tier 4 Ghoul; as it will surely target you," Alec directed as he summoned the Hive Queen to join them.
Lucas nodded, summoning his spirit equipment set and transforming his great sword into a Glaive before he led the hundred and ten mages on his horseback into battle.
"Fire balls now!" Agnes commanded the mages, as the launched the fireballs into the air that landed near the Ghouls, causing injuries and disrupting their attacks on the Sweden city guards.
Though none were killed, but the move was enough to disorient the frenzied Ghouls, diverting some of them towards Lucas and his squad of Tier 3 Mages.
The arrival of reinforcements brought a sigh of relief to the Sweden city guards, who now had enough strength to push back against the reduced pressure.
"Are you doing this because of what happened between us?, I want you to understand that this is a battlefield, and since I follow the mage path enemies of lower realm and this size, is what i can eliminate swiftly, saving you the stress, instead of sending out Lucas, who is a warrior mage," Pale stated.
"I believe you are mistaken in assuming you know my thoughts, i don’t even take you seriously, showing that I have nothing to moved on from, It seems you are the one still grappling with guilt, trying to prove yourself, but fret not," Alec retorted.
"I am not one to hold petty grudges like you, In war, I will make the decisions that I believe are best, and for your information, Lucas and his team have faced Ghouls before in their missions and emerged unscathed."
" so if there is anyone that should lead an assault against them, it is undoubtedly him and his team who will yield better results, if you doubt me, just watch,"
Alec asserted as he gestured towards Lucas, who was already nearing the horde of Ghouls on horseback.
As he rode ahead, it was evident that his team lagged meters behind, but he showed no signs of slowing down.
With a swift leap from his horse, he raised his glaive high above his head, the blade shimmering with a blinding light of Qi energy.
As he brought down the weapon with force, cleaving through a Ghoul, as the blade found itself embedding into the ground below.
The impact created a small quake, sending nearby Ghouls sprawling with various injuries, despite not being directly struck by the blade, they were with various blades cuts.
This was a result of his sword Qi bursting forth when the glaive made contact with the ground.
However, the Ghouls remained undeterred, as they were driven into a frenzy by the menacing roar of the Tier 4 Ghoul observing from behind, causing them to rise and charge towards Lucas again.
Fearlessly, Lucas clutched the handle of the glaive, driving the blade deep into the ground, and with a thunderous roar, he extracted the gleaming weapon back, unleashing sharp Qi attacks that swiftly dispatched several Tier 2 Ghouls charging forward.
As he noticed the second wave of fireballs obliterating another group of Ghouls , Lucas seized the moment.
Harnessing the time gained from the fireball onslaught, as he grasped the glaive with both hands, spinning it above his head.
As his body Crackled with lightning energy and his glaive radiating with a potent Qi glow, as Lucas charged into the Ghouls horde like a bolt.
His movements were a deadly dance, with each of his strike cutting through the Ghouls like a reaper incarnate, harvesting lives with ruthless precision.

He effortlessly carved his way through, unmatched by any, and it didn’t take long for the rest of the team to catch up.
However, he had already gained a significant lead by single-handedly dispatching over five hundred Tier 1 and Tier 2 Ghouls.
As the team joined him, it only hasten the destruction of the Ghouls, as the lich scowled and turned its attention to the Tier 4 Ghoul.
"You must resolve this issue swiftly, we cannot afford such a drastic drop in numbers at the start of the war," the lich warned.
As the Tier 4 Ghouls acknowledged the command, and pointed forward and ten out of the twenty Tier 3 Ghouls, positioned behind him as bodyguards, sprung into action.
Their speed was remarkable as they swiftly closed in on the Sweden city guards army but ignored them as they were starting to show sighs of fatigue by facing the large number of skeleton soldiers,
The Ghouls sights were set on Lucas and his hundred mages who had vanquished the Ghouls from the right wing of the human army.
Anticipating the approaching danger, Lucas prepared to leap into action, but Agnes held onto his shoulders.
"You should trust your team more, commander, we are here not only to follow your lead but also to support you through all the challenges, just watch and see why Alec was confident in sending us with a group of Tier 3 flame element Mages," Agnes reassured him, turning to the Knight and the mages behind her.
"Now!" she commanded, and Lucas caught sight of eight massive spider golems that he had not noticed before being hurled towards the oncoming Tier 3 Ghouls.
"Now, Hive Queen, all Mage activate team defense," Agnes issued her command as the Ghouls attempted to claw their way out of the swollen spider golems thrown at them, their bodies laden with a surplus of Mana.
The vast battlefield had resulted in enemies every where, and the ones the spider golems have faced were not being able to present a solid defense, leading to them absorbing more Mana than their bodies could handle, including the Hive Queen who they transfer mana too.
As the Ghouls launched their attack, a deafening explosion resonated through the air, blasting the ten Tier 3 Ghouls with such intensity that the flame veil conjured by over a hundred flame mages began to crack, on the brink of collapse.
The Sweden city guard army, the Lich, the Tier 4 Ghoul, and even Pale and the rest of the student army stood in shock at the unfolding events.
The strategic move had effectively taken out half of the Tier 3 Ghouls advancing towards them without stress or losing anyone in the process, it was a beautiful win.
Pale’s gaze shifted to Alec, who wore a smirk that sent a shiver of fear down his spine, Pale feared Alec’s satisfaction stemmed from delight in cruel killing methods, yet Alec’s happiness stemmed from another source entirely.

"It’s about time you joined the party of my Tier 3 golems, Hive Queen, Now, unleash your power and decimate the remaining Ghouls at the other side for me!" Alec mentally communicated with the Hive Queen, gleaming as he watched his experience points soar and his student badge illuminate with each achievement point earned.
With each enemy defeated by the student mages, he noticed his points increasing by one, causing him to ponder whether it was a glitch or perhaps a feature of his role as the captain and highest-ranking leader of the expedition.
