The Golem Mage-Chapter 399 : Choosing A Spell 3.
On the first floor, the mages carefully selected spells that best suited their abilities, while the Gordons clan finally reunited, they have been sent to different sections by the doorway, but fortunately for them it was quite nearby
Their badges were now newly engraved by Edward, as it was shining in golden hues, with Brandon's badge being the only exception as his stand out in a bold crimson fashion.
Brandon, was holding the rank of sergeant, and was the highest ranking Gordons after Alec, so despite Alec and Arthur stepping in with them, they have not been located yet.
"Where do you think he is?" Agnes inquired,
" Alec or Arthur?" Brandon asked trying to find out who Agnes was really worried about
"Both of them, actually," Agnes confirmed.
"It's likely that Alec has proceeded to the second floor in search Mid Tier spells, as there wouldn't be any on this floor, he must have been directed by General Edward as well, and as for Arthur, he seems to be still present but deliberately avoiding us," Brandon replied, turning around as he tried in hope he would catch a glimpse of Arthur, but without success.
"Well, whatever occurs, I do hope they achieve their desires, let's split up and seek out a battle technique or spell that can aid us, as I believe the challenges the academy are about to put us through would intensify for them to act this generous,"

" especially with Alec striking out on his own this time, it only means we'll need to rise to more challenging roles," Agnes proposed as the group nodded in agreement.
Knight wore a wide grin, filled with anticipation, especially since he had struggled in the past to acquire Shadow element spells.
He exuded confidence in the abundance of these spells within the first floor and remained hopeful that he would find something to enhance his combat abilities more.
As they dispersed in search of spells, Arthur stumbled upon a spell that resonated with him.
However, it was an incomplete book, containing only the first three volume. Titled "Flesh Transmutation Technique," it only requirement is for the mage to practice it with a bodybuilding technique.
And since Arthur already practice in the most powerful bodybuilding technique of the Gordons clan, he felt an immediate connection to the book.
As he reached for the book, a duplicate unexpectedly appeared in his hand, mirroring the one he intended to take.
"That is a copy of the book you desire. Mages are not permitted to remove the original copies from the treasure space, The space sensed your intention, creating a clone so the original remains preserved," Edward Wolf's voice resonated near Arthur, making him turn but he spotted no one, but he could still sense a gaze fixed upon him.
Curious about the distinction between the original and cloned versions, Arthur questioned,
"Is there a disparity between the content of the original and the duplicate?"
"No, there isn't. It's just the rules here, you can either read it within these walls or take a copy outside, The original books were authored by esteemed mages who passed down their spells to future generations."
" Though the spells may seem peaceful now, but once they leave this restricted space, they unveil their egos and magnify their essence, these spells possess the awakened will of their creators, hence this room serves to temper those forces, if you are satisfied, you may depart with your chosen book," Edward elaborated.
Arthur bowed in gratitude towards the guiding voice, appreciating the assistance offered despite the unseen presence, he selected the second volume as well, but had to leave the third volume behind due to his rank restricting him to choose only two low-tier books.
As Arthur made his way back towards the massive doorway, he noticed that not only himself but also every other Mage who had selected a book was walking back to the front yard of the Dean.

## Back inside the shadowy room
"So, that's another one of your brother's disciples, I must admit, he seems to have quite the talented group this time, it would be a tragedy if they met the same fate as the ones before them," remarked the girl with the scar on her face to Edward.
"It won't be as easy to eliminate Terran's disciples this time, I have a feeling this new batch is different, much like his chief disciple who have not still been killed, Nevertheless, what truly matters now is Terran breaking free of his limitations and reaching the Tier 8 realm of mages," Edward responded.
"Only then can he truly make a difference, his prowess in cross Tier battles may not alter their perception of him, merely viewing him as a brute or a deadly warrior, But the Dunce are more than just talented mages, we are also schemers " Edward concluded as he observed the actions of Terran's disciples through multiple water screen as they were selecting their desired spells, skills, or techniques.

Alec, opened his eyes ,only to find himself in a dimly lit space with the system panel providing the only source of light before him.
[> Pay 5,000 system points to learn the 9 Basic Foundation of Gravity <]
[> Y/N <]
"It appears there's much more that the system points can offer that I have yet to discover," reflected Alec.
Alec pressed the Yes button and the black void before him shifted, giving the impression of being transported to another world or witnessing a 3D image unfolding.

Captivated by the voice he heard, Alec raised his gaze to meet the eyes of a middle-aged man who appeared as though he hadn't shaved in quite some time.
"What I am about to demonstrate will be a one-time event, so pay close attention, as once you witness it, the memory will be etched into your mind, don't forget it! ," the man spoke with authority.
"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Solara Nebulon, the author of the book titled '9 Basic Foundation of Gravity.' My creation defies categorization into any specific rank, as its path knows no limits, and each spell inside holds the potential to ascend to its higher form," Solara explained.
"Despite the scepticism and the dismissive comments calling my theories trivial, labelling my spells as capable of only breaching the Mid Rank level due to their gravitational nature, today I shall reveal the true might of my spells to you and I hope that one day, you too will unlock their highest potential and show to the world that all spell can evolve," the man spoke earnestly to Alec.
Dumbfounded, Alec found himself at a loss on how to process this newfound information, realizing that the system had overridden the knowledge intended for his brain from the spell tome he touched.
Also prompting him for a payment of 5,000 system points to learn the spell and when he did he was provided the opportunity to be instructed by the book's creator directly, similar to when the system visualized Forge Masters through system points to forge spirit equipment, Alec came to the realization that the system could also extend this capability to spells as well.
