Chapter 351 -350: Speculation

Levinhome, formerly the third largest city under the organization’s control.

Now, it has fallen to become a colony of the Source Epidemic Area—Original Tomb, and because “World Assimilation” is not yet complete, life from the Old World cannot freely visit the worlds it depends on.

For example, the Death Plague Knights, Harvester—Rotweis, who once turned Levinhome into the City of the Dead, sacrificed over a thousand townspeople to gain just over ten minutes of free activity time, after which they were forcibly pulled back to the Old World.

This restriction comes from some “Rule,” an unseen force that influences the operation and coordination across multiple worlds.

Currently, those wandering in Levinhome are mostly native dead infected with the Death Plague, including the original townspeople and the stationed Gentleman Group.

The most powerful among them is the Gentleman Group under Sun Dis.

Coincidentally, the Original Tomb has been recruiting new members for the Death Plague Knights recently, and several Apprentice Knights have been selected; these Open Source Level Apprentice Knights will earn their official status through real performance.

Among them, one Apprentice Knight, whose “ability” matched, happened to be assigned to Levinhome,

and through Sun Dis’s physical body and a vast number of death sacrifices, his consciousness descended, overseeing and managing the city, doing as much as possible to bring valuable things back to the Original Tomb.

However,

during his management of Levinhome, this Apprentice Knight discovered many interesting things,

through absorbing the memories of the dead, he found the secret medicine hidden within the wards of Sun Hospital,

this kind of secret medicine, made using Patients as raw material and combined with certain traits of some gentlemen, crafted through specific techniques, was quite novel to them, and the organization self-styled as gentlemen possessed other types of secret medicine as well.

This included the Death Type secret medicine, such as the “Dusk Thin Silver Liquid” once known as ‘Day and Moon’ alongside the Sun Secret Medicine.

New novel chapt𝒆rs are published on ƒгeewebnovёl.com.

Under his command, a dead named Scott set forth on a journey to the Twilight Clinic, seeking the Dusk Thin Silver Liquid and related clues,

Scott was the former chief surgeon at Sun Hospital,

and through the Relic—Rupert Card’s Leg, he achieved a breakthrough in a single attribute (coordination), working diligently at the hospital for decades until Death arrived.

Though seemingly of advanced age, he possessed a pair of severely varicose veiny muscular legs, capable of supporting him during long periods of running and super jumps, making him well-suited for long-distance trekking on foot.

He had even performed surgeries with his feet in the hospital, earning himself quite a reputation and even being dubbed the “traveling doctor.”

Regrettably, he was never able to pass the doctor’s exam, always falling just slightly below the passing mark, hence remaining in the service of Sun Dis, unable to start his own clinic.

Gradually, he resigned to his fate, convinced of his own lack of talent and no longer participating in the doctor’s examinations.

It wasn’t until he hanged himself to become a dead that Scott’s legs were empowered with the force of Death, from which he sensed the potential to continue evolving, even reaching a deeper state of affliction.

The first time he received an order from the dead, Scott was incredibly excited, planning to bring back everything he could gather about the Dusk Thin Silver Liquid, its manufacturing devices, and even residual liquid, possibly earning more opportunities of Death.

With no time constraints, Scott traveled at his own pace, stopping along the way to ensure no waste of energy, while also getting accustomed to his Death Ability by hunting down Patients in the wilderness.

It took him two whole days to arrive at Viner City, where the Twilight Clinic was located,

Caution was the fundamental aspect of his being as a doctor.

Even with such strength, he remained vigilant for any potential dangers in the city, only heading to the suburban clinic once he was fully assured of no threats.

At the foot of the mountain,

Scott, whose pale face bore two black eyeballs and was shrouded in black mist, said softly:

“The mastermind behind the ‘False Moon Incident’ had long gone, and the entire city couldn’t even reflect a single case of Moon Transformation Disease… Am I worrying too much? Well, at least now I can search for the secret medicine’s information with peace of mind.”

His physique was peculiarly proportioned, as if a heavy-weight bodybuilder’s legs were matched with the lean upper body of a village elder.

Leaving footprints one step at a time, spaced more than fifty meters apart.

With a super jump from one leg, he reached the top of the hill in less than ten seconds,

and the dilapidated Twilight Clinic came into view, which Scott completely despised.

“To think a secret medicine made through underhanded methods dares to compare itself with Dean Dis’s Sun Secret Medicine… It seems the demise of the organization is indeed inevitable.”

Though transformed into a dead, Scott’s respect for Dean Dis remained unchanged.

“Let’s start our search with the hospital buildings in front,” suggested Scott.

Just as Scott was about to step into the high grass of the front yard, a beam of moonlight happened to fall on the mountaintop through a gap in the clouds, slightly touching him and streaming along his cheek into his eye socket.

It was nighttime, and although there had been a faint moonlight in the city area earlier, Scott had not paid any attention to it.

As he approached the dilapidated building, he suddenly felt a sensation of being watched, and immediately looked in the direction of the feeling,

and saw a woman in bright red standing at the window of the third-floor ward of the clinic.

By the time Scott tried to get a clearer look, the window was empty again.

“Could there still be patients inside? Is it a ‘Non-Normality’ formed by the residual resentment combined with the clinic’s equipment?”

He kneeled and leapt up.

With a precise jump, Scott crouched at the window where the red-clothed woman had been,

finding himself facing the apprentice dormitory, and noticed no residual aura, which puzzled him.

“Although I’m not good at sensing, I shouldn’t fail to detect even those below the Open Source Level… Could it be a problem with the clinic? Some kind of shielding stance or something?”

As Scott crouched at the window feeling slightly puzzled,

the figure in red, barefoot, flashed past outside the dormitory door,

and he was slightly startled and immediately chased after her.

By the time he rushed out of the dormitory, the red-clothed woman was already standing at the far end of a long, eerie corridor… The length of the corridor seemed to exceed the hospital itself and felt as if it was still stretching.

Moreover, the floor of the corridor between him and the woman was littered with discarded needles from the old clinic,

and the woman at the end, in red, showed no intention of leaving but was slowly waving her hand, signaling Scott to come over to her.

This time, Scott finally saw clearly that the red-clothed woman was wearing a colorful mask, only her bright red lips visible, her hand waving all the while, her mouth circling with a slender tongue covered in small tumors.

“Playing tricks…”

In an instant,

Scott’s lower body erupted with a multitude of blood vessels, and the dimensions of his calves and thighs grew larger.

He also tensed his muscles to completely harden his feet, making them hard enough to easily break rebar, not fearing the decayed needles at all.

He burst forward at an astonishing sprinting speed, reaching the red-clothed woman within seconds.

“Go to hell!” Just as he was about to kick her head in,

a wave of dizziness hit him, followed by weakness and even convulsing.

Upon closer inspection, syringes, which should have hardened, were embedded in the soles of his feet, and some type of liquid was already coursing through his body.

As he tried to understand what was happening, he passed out completely.

Light rings, eye focus!

When Scott woke up again, he was lying on a surgical table.

His body was paralyzed and bound, with an illumination lamp at its maximum brightness shining directly into his eyes.

Two doctors and a red-clothed nurse were standing by,

one doctor, with a protruding belly, holding a bone saw in one hand and a sawed-off skull in the other.

The other doctor was tampering with something in the back of his head and soon extracted a still-warm, pitch-black brain.

Scott hurriedly tried to sense the state of his own head, only to find that his skull had been opened, and was now empty… He tried to scream but found that his tongue had already been cut, and even his mouth was stitched shut.

At that moment,

he could only silently watch everything in front of him, watching the doctor holding his pitch-black brain skillfully carve a large ‘痫’ character in the frontal brain region with delicate surgical moves.
