The General's Daughter Doesn't Want to Get Married!-Chapter 163: A Dream
Chapter 163: A Dream
"Damn it! I told you not to call me like that, it’s so cringey!!" Zhu Zhengting yelled at Yun Shu out of frustration, only to receive her mockery in return as she stuck out her tongue like a child.
Soon after Zhu Zhengting left, Yun Shu sighed a deep breath of relief.
She also knew that keeping the story from Bai Yunxian wasn’t the right thing to do, but she still chose to do so for something she didn’t understand herself.
"I just hope he will be safe and sound, waiting for me patiently..." Yun Shu mumbled as she stared at the blanket covering her blankly, her mind wandering around elsewhere.
Unfortunately, for Yun Shu, the thing that she was afraid of most was on its way to occur.

Things took a huge turn after Yun Shu resigned to rest, the situation escalated quickly as the soldiers were more motivated than ever.
At that same time, Yun Si avoided getting closer to Yun Shu as much as he could, especially after the incident happening around that time. He seemed reluctant, but apologized to Yun Shu right away after remembering the entire incident, which came off pretty unexpected of him.
Yun Shu never thought that a proud guy like him would ever apologize to her like this, not that she expected anything from him ever...
She just nodded her head to brush him off, consoling him, "Things like this happen often when you are too drunk or under the weather. Not to mention Your Highness was under the influence of dark magic. It’s alright."
However, instead of quietly ending everything, the Crown Prince decided to formally apologize to Yun Shu with a bunch of rewards.
Though Yun Shu was annoyed, it’s not like she could lash out and give that guy a good beating since she was supposed to be in a coma; Yun Shu really didn’t care much as she told one of the guards to put all of them away.
In the middle of all this commotion, when Yun Shu’s head touched the pillow at night and her eyes almost closed down in fatigue, a certain someone’s face would show up like a picture in her dreams.
The girl in the dream stands far away from her, not even looking back for once. In the middle of the vast flower field, the girl wears a flower crown on her head, laughing her heart out.
The laughing sound that felt like a serenade coming from a million years ago is actually very clear, soft and comfortable. And when she held a bunch of flowers in her hand and turned her head to look at Yun Shu, she couldn’t see the girl’s eyes that remained covered in white clouds, but she could see the beautiful smile the girl had on her face.
’The girl... looks very happy...’
’Who is she? Why can’t I see her?’
As Yun Shu thought, she saw that the girl grasped her wrist as she dragged her away, running towards the middle of the field.
Yun Shu felt subconsciously drawn to the girl as her body automatically chose to follow the girl, but the surprise didn’t end there.
The more they drew closer towards the middle, where a giant and beautiful willow tree was located, the more the girl was going through various changes.
The soft and beautiful hand of the young girl changed its course into that of a young man’s coarse hands, full of calluses.
Slowly her voice, her body and her clothes changed. Finally, Yun Shu ended her run in front of the willow tree, taking deep breaths.
Even though the Young Lady changed into a Young Man, Yun Shu didn’t feel too bothered by it.
Rather, she felt as if the smile on the young man’s face was even more beautiful than that of the young lady.
Even though she could see only half of the man’s face, Yun Shu was still sure that the young man was truly happy.
"My Lord!"
’I know it.
I know this voice...’
Yun Shu thought as she looked up at the Young man. But before she could say anything, the scenery around them changed in the blink of an eye.
The flower field turned into a sea of fire, and the unchanging smile on the young man’s face was no more.
Instead, a stream of red came down to his chin, falling down on the bloody mud and mixing them together.
"My lord, I’m sorry... I can’t keep the promise... with you..."
Yun Shu felt a sense of panic run down her spine.
"No, don’t go...!"
For some inevitable reason, Yun Shu felt as if it was decided within his solemn expression.
She knew that if she let go of him now, she might lose him forever.
"Wait!"
In an instant, the picture like scene before her crashed in thousand pieces, without leaving a trace.
"Ahh!"
Screaming, Yun Shu woke up as she sat down straight. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
It wasn’t a land full of blood, it was her quarters. Yun Shu breathed a sigh of relief as she pinched her eyebrows.
’This dream again...’
It’s been a week since she started to have this strange dream, and she also knew that she saw something specific in that dream which was related to her missions in this world.
But she couldn’t remember what she saw in the dream after she woke up every time, which distressed her greatly.
"Damn... I hope no one heard my scream just now..." Yun Shu mumbled under her breath as she glanced over at the door.
She did ask Chen Yi to hear what this dream was, but she only managed to get a vague answer out of him.
However, while Yun Shu was thinking whether or not to poke Chen Yi again, she felt something was odd.
’What’s this again?’
The silence outside the camp was too unusual. Even if the soldiers doesn’t dare to make commotion in front of her base, the chatting sound is quite loud.
