The game has become a real alternate world-Chapter 966 - 648: Entanglements of Hatred and Love
Everyone entered the interior of the storm, and a peculiar spectacle unfolded before their eyes.
A towering mountain peak loomed ahead, as if it had once been a majestic, towering mountain, but had been violently snapped off by an incredibly powerful Giant Dragon at the summit, with the mountain top sheared away and the body hollowed out below the waist.
The edges of the mountain bore traces of broken cliffs, jaggedly jutting upwards.
The interior of the mountain, however, had been transformed into a vast arena. The edge of the arena was surrounded by a circle of platforms intended for viewing, but these platforms were designed specifically for Giant Dragons, enormously large and lacking seating.
Bugreit slowly descended onto one of the platforms, then opened its chest cavity, and everyone inside began to emerge one by one.
"Oh my, this place is huge!" Bobo couldn't help but exclaim.
"This should be considered the largest arena in the world, after all, it's a space specifically designed for Giant Dragons to fight and display their prowess, so naturally, it has to be vast enough," Kana explained with a smile.
At this moment, a dragon roar echoed from beside them, coming from Bugreit.
"This place is indeed familiar, reminds me of the times when I cheered for those Warriors here."
The Undead Dragon's clone simply stared quietly, the flickering Soul Fire in its eyes making it impossible for anyone to guess what it was contemplating at the moment.
"Heh, you've arrived," a deep voice echoed hauntingly.
Upon hearing this familiar voice, Svina Anna seemed to be provoked and immediately furrowed her brows, transforming into dragon form and adopting a battle stance.
The voice also caused the Soul Fire within the Undead Dragon's eyes to blaze violently, fiercely igniting.
"It's you, damn traitor!"
A sudden crack appeared in the sky, and a gigantic eyeball emerged from the rift, gazing outward. It was the eye of the Fallen Blade Dragon, and its voice also emanated from the fissure.
"Oh, isn't this my former colleague Lisval, the once brilliant Life Treasure Bead, now fallen into this detestable undead form. Hahahahaha..."
The Fallen Blade Dragon laughed wantonly, its tone filled with ridicule, "Seems like my strike nearly cost you your life back then, forcing you to reverse your power and align with the undead to barely cling to existence."
Its voice held not a shred of guilt for its betrayal, but rather brimmed with self-satisfaction.
"I heard you've arrived long ago; why only show an eye?" Kana asked.
"Heh, sharp-tongued human, I can't wait to tear you to shreds," the gigantic pupil fixed firmly on Kana.
Hearing these words, Kana couldn't help but burst into laughter and casually waved his hand, "Come on, if you really had that ability, you wouldn't just show an eye, hiding in a little crack and boasting. At this point, you still refuse to admit it; it's truly confusing."
"You will pay for your betrayal," the Undead Dragon remained exceptionally calm in the face of mockery.
"Haha, my fallen junior, why not come out and greet your elder?" Bugreit laughed heartily, as by age, he indeed could be considered the elder of the Fallen Blade Dragon.
"You? Where did this foolish creature pop out from? You're nothing more than a mere soul attached to a construct," the Fallen Blade Dragon replied disdainfully.
"Indeed, but my soul remains pure and flawless, and my dragon legacy is still closely intertwined with me.
Unlike certain dragons, whose legacies no longer respond, souls eroded by the Abyss, aimlessly venting rage here, seeking a way out," Bugreit retorted sharply.
"A bunch of useless beings only capable of slick talk."
The grievances between these Giant Dragons erupted the moment they met, hurling verbal spears at each other mercilessly, exposing each other's shortcomings.
This left Kana and the others silent, merely watching.
"Boom!" A thunderous roar erupted from all around, causing the entire mountain range to tremble violently.
The Fallen Blade Dragon's eye twirled around, seemingly sensing something, while the Undead Dragon also slightly raised its head.
"Another Avenger has come, looks like they're here to witness your downfall firsthand."
A massive, rock-built dragon head emerged from the cliff, its colossal form akin to a moving mountain.
Fortunately, the arena was extremely vast, accommodating the dragon wider and thicker than the cliff itself as it slowly emerged, settling on the largest viewing platform.
It was the Earth Dragon—Kaiser Kael, one of the earliest Giant Dragons sought by Bugreit, and the oldest dragon remaining in this world due to the Stone of Creation.
With most young dragons unfamiliar with Bugreit, only Kaiser Kael of the same generation remembered him.
Back when the Fallen Blade Dragon betrayed them, it had deliberately chosen Kaiser Kael's absence.
"Traitor, I am here to witness your demise."
Upon seeing Kaiser Kael appear, the Fallen Blade Dragon refrained from boasting further, aware of its opponent's overwhelming superiority.
A millennium ago, during its betrayal, Kaiser Kael had already reached Level 15, but lacked time for pursuing the Path to Divinity, opting for alternative development.
Even though the Fallen Blade Dragon had succumbed to the Abyss, its strength barely equaled that of Kaiser Kael, who had remained mostly idle.
"Quite the gathering, where's the other one?" the Fallen Blade Dragon inquired.
It had long anticipated that once it showed up and left traces in this world, the kin it once betrayed would definitely come in flocks, which was why it never fully revealed itself before the agreed-upon time.
"I am everywhere," an ethereal, otherworldly female voice echoed as clouds and whirlwinds coalesced on a platform.
An elegant, streamlined Giant Dragon with alternating blue and white appeared there.
Her long, crystalline horns, and scales glistened with the pure, flawless color akin to the blue sky.
Her attention wasn't on the Fallen Blade Dragon but instead directed towards the Undead Dragon, then towards the Frost Lord hovering behind Kana, her eyes filled with sorrow and guilt.
"Sorry, I shouldn't have appeared before you, Lisval."
The Undead Dragon shook its head, saying nothing.
"Heh, their current 'utensils' have a piece of you, Anlivier," the Fallen Blade Dragon laughed triumphantly.
However, this Sky Dragon did not even glance at it, completely ignoring its presence, her gaze solely filled with apology and grief directed at her former friend.
This greatly riled up the Fallen Blade Dragon.
"The love and hate among these dragons seem more complex than we imagined," Bobo quietly stood by Kana's side and remarked.
Kana recalled the plot he had learned in the game before and couldn't help but nod.
"Indeed, there is a bit of truth to that."
As for whether there truly was "love" among these dragons, Kana was unsure.
He just knew that the Sky Dragon Anlivier was so remorseful, unwilling to easily show herself, largely due to being deceived by the Fallen Blade Dragon during the betrayal a thousand years ago, inadvertently assisting in the chaos. This indirectly led to the Frost Dragon's death and the Dragon of Life's transformation into the Undead Dragon for survival.
"You have one more day; during this day, you can carefully consider your last words."
