The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 217: It Begins
Silence.
Even the slow music had stopped.
Cain and Theodora walked up to each other, meeting in the centre of the room.
She stared at him inquisitively, curiously and delightfully, "You are...,"
"Yes," He took her hand and brought it to his lips, "It’s me," He pressed a kiss to it.
"Do you remember? Do you remember us as you are now?!"
"If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have spent years trying to bring you back, my dear,"
She smiled, "I’m so glad to be back. Felt like I was... rotting in here, trapped inside a dark place,"
"You’ll never be trapped again, my dearest. Not when I’m alive,"
"I’ll take that as a promise," She said and took another look at the anxious wolves around them, "Tell me what exactly is happening here. Did you really come here for a party, or a slaughter?"
"A bit of both," Cain replied, his eyes matching her bloodthirsty ones, "I was simply waiting for you to come out so I can share it all with you,"
She blushed a little, "How charming of you,"
"Well," Cain drawled as they faced the crowd, holding hands, "Where would you like to start from?!"
"What exactly are we trying to achieve here?!"
"Well, I’ve overthrown the west. The Alpha escaped, and the heir is under my command. But...that doesn’t really matter when they’ll all be dead soon, anyway. I want total obedience, not just of the West, but the South and North too. We can kill a few now-or a lot, then move to the other regions,"
"Let me guess," She glanced at him, "You don’t want the North, South, East or West division to exist anymore. You want to conquer every living corner there is, and be the top Alpha,"
"And you," He looked down at her, "My Luna. After that, we can head to the forest and open the veil so I’ll be complete. How does that sound?"
"How about we head to the forest now, and let the incoming wolves from the South and North right now take care of the ones here? Or...," Theodora’s eyes shifted to the doors in the hall, her eyes seeing beyond them, "Can’t you hear that?!"
She tilted her head, listening.
Boots against stone beyond the hall, along with too many heartbeats. They moved too silently, suppressing their blood, their auras, just enough for an ambush.
Cain smiled slowly.
"And so, the war begins,"
The doors suddenly exploded inward. Oak splintered, and Iron hinges screamed.
The first wave came in fast with South wolves pouring into the Grand Hall in a coordinated surge, armour glinting, eyes burning with resolve. Alphas at the front. Enforcers behind. Blades, claws, and gunfire laced with silver.
War erupted.
The chandeliers shattered as bodies slammed into pillars. Glass rained down, and music stands toppled. Screams finally tore through the hall as Lunas were dragged back, their guards shifting into full forms mid-air.
Chaos.
And at the centre of it all, Cain did not release Theodora’s hand.
A South Alpha lunged first, roaring as he shifted mid-leap, but he never reached them.
Theodora turned her head, and that was all. The Alpha hit an invisible wall and crumpled, his bones collapsing inward.
She laughed as she watched the sight of bloody battle unfolding, wolves transforming in front of her eyes.
Inside her, a familiar presence sat, growling and mourning at the same time.
*Silver,* Theodora said, looking down at her bare nails, *I’m going to need claws instead of this. Extend my claws, now!*
*Fuck you, Hallo* Seraphina replied.
Theodora laughed wickedly, *I’ll have to force you, then. Your former owner never commanded you, that’s why you’re so stubborn. I’ll change that,*
Claws ripped out of her nails with instinct and bonded command, and Seraphina snarled angrily right before Theodora gave the silent command, and her lips snapped shut, like they had been glued together.
Then, Theodora he let go of his hand and stepped into the fray. Whenever she walked, wolves fell down dead, ripped into pieces. She moved so quickly.
A South warrior tried to run, and Theodora appeared in front of her without crossing the distance. She leaned down, and whispered, "Hide better next time,"
And then, blood sprayed.
The hall was a battlefield now. Blood smeared the marble floors, bodies were strewn like broken dolls, and every pillar in the room had fallen.
Cain was untouchable. Every swing of his arm ended a life. Every look was a command to ensure victory. Wolves who tried to flank him found themselves crushed against walls or pinned to the floor, followed by death.
And Theodora, she was everywhere.
Her dress never tore, only covered in blood. Wolves choked on her aura, their instincts screaming to kneel, to flee, and to submit.
Some did.
She killed them anyway.
Within minutes, the Grand Hall was unrecognisable.
Bodies were littered the floor, and survivors could only crawl. The banners of UNITY hung in tatters, scorched and soaked.
Theodora stood near the shattered doors, peering out into the night where more wolves gathered. They were hesitant and afraid now.
She clicked her tongue softly, "They’re learning."
Cain joined her, blood on his cuffs even though the rest of his attire remained untouched by blood or sweat, "Shall we get going?"
She glanced back once at the ruined hall. At some of West’s finest reduced to corpses and echoes.
"Where is the blonde one?!" She asked.
Cain turned around, his eyes narrowing.
He hadn’t seen Liam anywhere after the dance.
"I’ll find him later," Cain replied, "The forest is waiting,"
He took her hand again, and they walked through the carnage together, stepping over bodies as if they were just debris.
Behind them, the Grand Hall of the West burned, and in a few seconds, the whole thing collapsed to the ground, shaking the earth.
Dust and sand rose, while the two walked down the path heading to their destination with the most destructive, prideful smiles on their faces.
And above their heads, the Crescent moon slowly transformed into something unheard of.
Its silver glow died off.
What emerged was a Dark Full Moon.
The Void Moon
