The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 206: Into the Devil’s Chamber
"Ava!" Theo called back in her head, "Ava, I can hear you, I’m here!"
Theo heard a cry of relief and exhaustion, "Oh my God, Theo. Finally! I’ve been trying to reach you for a long time,"
"How are you talking in my head? What’s going on?!"
"Theo," She uttered with pain, "I’m being held somewhere. It smells like chemicals and torture. I need your help, please,"
"Where?"
"I don’t know where exactly, but I know Cain has me. Please, I need to get out of here. I’ve been trapped for days and...my wolf, she’s being suppressed, and I feel like I’m gonna pass out again...!"
Cain has her?! Theo’s heart lurched.
"Alright, alright," Theo swallowed, "Tell me what you see. Tell me what the place you’re being held looks like,"
"I’m in a cell," Ava said, "The walls are riddled with claw marks, and it’s dark and empty and...," Her voice shook as she could barely continue, "There’s one door. A metal door, embedded with silver. I can’t leave, Theo. I need help. I need—" There was a loud sigh that followed, and then Ava went silent.
"Ava!" Theo cried, panic hitting hard, "Ava!!"
Damn it! The connection was gone, and the throbbing ache in her head lessened.
And right now, Theo was as angry as she was panicked. Because why the hell does Cain have Ava? All this freaking time he had Ava! If Cain figured out she had powers, it would explain why he also wants her.
Theo turned around, ready to storm downstairs and confront Cain in the dining room and demand that he release Ava, but that’s the worst option out of all. That would only put Ava in more trouble.
Which means, Theo would have to find her herself.
She sighed and looked around once again. It’s pretty suspicious how she could only talk to Ava while standing in this particular spot in the house. Theo bent over and touched the ground with her hands. There was nothing odd about it.
*Chemicals...suppressants... just one spot. I’d say Ava can only talk to you right here... because she’s either directly above you...or directly underneath you,*
Theo first looked up.
There was nothing up there because she knew. Her room was located on the highest floor of the castle.
Then, she looked down.
If she were being held in the room down there, then Theo would find her.
But first...she would have to make sure everyone was asleep.
"Hold on, Ava," Theo muttered, *I’m coming for you,*

Theo snuck out of her room in the middle of the night. The house was usually quiet, but it was extra quiet around this time. Even the sound of cricket couldn’t be heard, and Theo felt like every footstep would give her away.
She had left her boots behind and moved with only socks on. Her hair was tied into a bun, and she always triple-checked before she made any move.
She climbed down the stairs to the next floor and arrived at the room that was directly below where she had spoken with Ava.
The door was slightly ajar, and she walked in and looked around. There was nothing off about the place. It was a sitting room in fact, not as big as the one on the last floor, but big enough.
She searched for a few minutes and there was no sign of Ava.
She wasn’t here.
Just then, she heard the sound of boots heading down toward the room. Quickly, she dived behind the couch at the far end and hid behind.
She feared she was going to get caught. No wolf to suck in her scent.
Jarred walked into the room, along with someone else. He picked up a key from the centre table and turned to leave when he paused.
And sniffed inquisitively.
Oh no!
"What is it?" The other asked.
"I smell the Alpha," He replied, "He never leaves his study at night. I wonder what he came here to do,"
"It’s his house. He can be anywhere he wants to be. Come on, let’s go,"
"Right," Jarred glared around one last time, the thought that something was off never quite leaving his mind before they finally left.
Once Theo was sure they were gone, she crept out of her hiding place.
’I smell the Alpha’
Those words were enough to make her fist tighten. With this mark on her neck, she basically oozed Cain whenever she went. And with her wolf weak, his scent was more than powerful enough to swallow hers entirely.
Speaking of the Alpha, she knew his room was located downstairs. Usually, the master’s room is upstairs, but weirdly, Cain’s room was on the lowest floor.
And Ava had reached out to her from somewhere below.
Theo’s eyes widened. Could it really be...?! Could Ava be held in Cain’s room?!
There was only one way to find out.
She was downstairs in a minute and tiptoeing down the hall that led to his room. Then, she was standing in front of his door.
Unlike the other halls, this was the only one that had just one room. Each floor had at least, seven rooms.
Now, she had to figure out how to get in without... alerting him. But was that even possible? For all she knew, he might even be watching her right now.
And with that, Theo grabbed the door handle and turned, pushing it slightly at first to see if it was open. The door was heavier than she had anticipated, and she groaned softly as she pushed against it.
It opened a bit, and she gasped.
Woah! The door was actually open!
Was this a trap or what?!
He could be standing on the other side with that amused look on his face, just waiting to see if she had the audacity to walk in.
And she would.
There was no doubt about that.
She would walk in, and if she saw him, then she wouldn’t be able to avoid a proper confrontation. But no matter what happened, one thing was clear to her: she would not be stepping out of his room without Ava.
With that, Theo added more force and the door gave in and opened just wide enough.
Darkness met her eyes. She couldn’t see.
She stood rooted for a few seconds, her heart pounding. Something told her that by the time she would step out of this room, she wouldn’t be the same anymore.
The thought made her scoff. Ever since her mates died, she’s never been the same. No other experience could ever match the feeling of watching those you love die.
And with that, she walked into the room.
