The First Store System-Chapter 899 A Strange Scene!
Chapter 899: A Strange Scene!
More time flew by, and soon it was time for the third group to enter Panagea.
The system forced the three adventurers of the second group out as their six hours inside Panagea were complete. Favan's face looked cold as he came out of the room. He then casually nodded toward one of the generals waiting at the corner and left the store without disturbing Aakesh.
Soon after all three adventurers were out of the portal room, the following three didn't waste any time and rushed inside the room. 𝐟𝙧ℯ𝑒𝒘𝐞𝒃𝗻𝒐ѵ𝘦𝑙.com
Time flew by.
Aakesh was relaxing on his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from the store's door. He opened his eyes and turned in that direction, only to find a new face entering the store.
The woman's steps were slightly trembling as she found the non-demon store owner looking at her with an indifferent face. Her heart skipped a beat, but soon she calmed herself down, remembering the reason for her arrival. f𝚛e𝚎𝘄𝒆𝚋𝚗𝚘ѵ𝑒𝚕.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"Hello, store owner," The woman respectfully greeted Aakesh once she had reached him. She couldn't hide the tension going through her mind or the heart in her voice.
Aakesh only nodded in response to her greetings and continued looking at her, waiting for her to ask the important question.
An awkward smile passed through the woman's face, but she hid it soon after. She then took a deep breath and introduced herself, "Store owner, I am Dandalia. My father operates the store two buildings away."
"I am Aakesh," Aakesh responded.
"Store owner, please save my father," Dandalia suddenly bowed up to her waist and asked. Her words, trembling in either fright or pain.
"I only sell products here," Uninterested in Dandalia's words, Aakesh stated expressionlessly.
Dandalia couldn't help but stumble two steps backward after hearing Aakesh's blunt refusal. She had come here with a lot of struggle in her heart. Even in her veins flew the blood of Demons, how could she bow to a non-demon? But since her father's life was at stake, she came running here.
Dandalia had heard about how Aakesh had killed Garoun and his underlings, and then the soldiers on the scene could do nothing to him because of his background. Dandalia also wanted to ask for help from Aakesh, hoping for him to be sympathetic to her cause.
But her expectations and hopes were dashed as Aakesh didn't even ask what was wrong with her father before his straight refusal.
"Store owner, you are my only hope. Please help my father," Dandalia still didn't give up as she kneeled down and pleaded once again.
Aakesh's eyes remained as indifferent as ever as he refused again, and at the same time, he also told her that if she pleaded again, she would be thrown out of the store.
Dandalia's face turned pale after hearing Aakesh's cruel words. A helpless smile appeared on her face, as her heart had somewhat expected it, but for the slight hope of saving her father, she had come running here.
Did Dandalia regret kneeling to a non-demon even though he refused to help her? No! pan(da-n0vel.c)om
Even if time were to turn back, she would still do the same for the tiny hope in her heart. Her father's well-being was more important to her than the arrogance of the Demons.
"You have three minutes. You can ask them at that time," Aakesh suddenly said.
Aakesh didn't care about whether Dandalia and her father lived or died, but since the store was new, he decided to help her a bit.
As for how he would help her, it depended on Dandalia whether she could make any of the three remaining customers in the waiting corner help her.
Dandalia grabbed a straw of hope as she stood up and looked at the three meditating customers.
The system employed a silent effect on the store owner, so no one other than the store owner and the customer would be able to hear the content of their conversation. The system didn't employ any visibility blockers. But since the three remaining customers were meditating, none of them saw what was going on with Dandalia.
Dandalia hurriedly rushed to the waiting corner and approached the three customers. The customers were meditating, but they opened their eyes when they heard the sound of footsteps close to them.
Dandalia appeared in their sight as they opened their eyes. Dandalia then shared her ordeal with them, pleading for their help.
Since Aakesh had only given her three minutes, Dandalia stated her issue in simple words and didn't waste any time on formalities.
The three heard Dandalia's pleading, but they seemed to have no interest in helping her. Thorr City wasn't a heavenly palace for the citizens. Despite the strict laws and strong city lord, the atmosphere was still cruel.
Dandalia saw no hope in the three customers' eyes; instead, she saw them frowning and disgusted, as if she were some dirty person who had wasted their time. Her heart turned cold, but since there was still a minute left in the three minutes given to her, she turned desperate and directly used the name of Aakesh.
"The store owner sent me to ask you for help!"
As soon as this sentence fell into the three customers' ears, the frown and disgust in their eyes disappeared in a flash.
"Okay, I will help you," Jemiah suddenly said before any of the other two customers could speak.
Dandalia's heart heaved a sigh of relief, but soon it turned cold and dumbfounded. The two remaining customers who were earlier frowning and disgusted by her: now had disappointed faces since they couldn't help her in place of Jemiah.
"Let's go," Jemiah stood up and told Dandalia.
As they crossed Aakesh, Jemiah stopped as he had to ask Aakesh first, while Dandalia began looking at the ground since she had no idea how the store owner would react to her statement.
"Your turn is safe," Before Jemiah could ask, Aakesh spoke. It was his way of helping Dandalia. He heard what Dandalia said in her plea and also the point of using his name, but Aakesh didn't care. He had told her it was up to her to make them help her, and she did. Unless her content was harmful to the store, him, or Lily, he didn't care.
Dandalia didn't dare to look up and left the store, while Jemiah followed her.
