The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 2348: Delarosa’s Story
Carson Flores was quite satisfied with the Dark Ancestral Dragon’s response.
Now that his strength has grown and his relationships have improved, his influence has naturally soared!
If it were his former self, would the Dark Ancestral Dragon have been this agreeable?
Back then, even though he was trapped within the Pagoda, he likely saw Carson as a rookie who could die at any moment, given Carson’s weak capabilities and lack of backing, thus treating him with indifference.
Although Carson had promised to help solve his problems, the Dark Ancestral Dragon might have doubted whether he could actually do it.
Now that Carson has found a way to resolve his issues and mingled with so many powerful figures, even gaining their acknowledgment, this indicates that Carson’s Immortal Path is broadening significantly.
Why did Carson rush to see the Dark Ancestral Dragon as soon as he heard from Delarosa that the Dragon had awakened? Wasn’t it to "recruit" him?
Though Carson has the attention and tokens of so many elites, effectively possessing numerous amulets or life-saving charms, his strength is only at the Great Land Heavenly Origin Realm. He can’t always rely on the chances provided by these elites for minor troubles, can he?
That would be like using a cannon to kill a mosquito—a waste, wouldn’t it?
Ben Singleton’s body is still quite frail; while he might barely manage to make a move, it would cause tremendous harm to his recovering body, so Carson doesn’t expect Ben to intervene in case of trouble.
The Dark Ancestral Dragon is currently at the Peak Great Land Profound Immortal level. With the Void Lotus Herb, he could ascend to the Great Land Immortal, and even if it’s only a minor realm, he could overpower all Profound Immortals.
As long as the opponent isn’t exceptionally strong, the Dark Ancestral Dragon’s intervention would suffice to calm the situation. If even he cannot handle it, then it’s not too late to use the tokens from the elites!
Good steel should be used on the blade!
The Dark Ancestral Dragon may not stay with Carson for long, but he can certainly help solve a lot of problems.
Anyway, Carson plans to visit the Western Prison Netherfire City to find the Fenshen Sword, so before that happens, it’s reasonable for the Dragon to assist Carson with his efforts!
Not to mention, Carson has given the Void Lotus Herb, aiding him in his breakthrough!
If it were another Peak Great Land Profound Immortal stuck at a bottleneck, Carson’s offer of the Void Lotus Herb in exchange for years of protection would certainly be accepted, wouldn’t it?
Still, it’s best to keep resources within the family—Carson and the Dark Ancestral Dragon have some history, so giving it to him is preferable to others. Besides, even if he cuts ties and gains freedom, Carson might still have a chance to collaborate with him.
Carson handed the Void Lotus Herb to the Dark Ancestral Dragon, then left the Abyss with satisfaction.
In the grand hall, Delarosa sat on a chair, holding a cup of tea, appearing calm and composed.
"Did he agree?"
Carson chuckled: "I had him completely baffled; even his gaze towards me has changed."
The teapot beside Delarosa lifted itself and poured a cup of tea, and then the teacup flew into Carson’s hand.
Delarosa took a sip of tea and smiled: "Three days apart warrant newfound respect; you’ve changed a lot since your first encounter with him."
Carson laughed: "In front of him, I might change, but before you, Delarosa, I’ll always be myself."
After a pause, Carson looked at Delarosa’s gentle gem-like face: "Delarosa, I’ve now reached the Great Land stage. Can I finally hear your story?"
Delarosa’s hand holding the cup paused slightly, her eyes lifted to gaze at Carson: "You want to hear it?"
Carson nodded: "I know my strength isn’t enough, and I may not be able to help you much, but knowing the story might help me prepare earlier."
Delarosa lowered her gaze, looking at the cup in her hand, without saying a word.
Carson didn’t make a sound either, waiting quietly.
Delarosa certainly carries a story; otherwise, why would she linger in a nameless location like the Barbaric Wilderness Realm for countless centuries?
Previously, after Delarosa escorted Alfred Weaver back to the Thunder Immortal Realm, she left, only to return much later during a wild battle in Thunder Immortal Realm, and since then she hasn’t left again.
Carson once asked if Delarosa had resolved the matters she left to deal with, but she shook her head without speaking.
Delarosa chose Carson, followed him, and protected him numerous times. Without the Ethereal Pagoda and Delarosa, Carson might have died countless times already.
Though Carson doesn’t mention it often, he deeply respects and appreciates Delarosa.
Delarosa is like a big sister, warmly sheltering him as he grows, shielding him from the storm, yet never speaking of her own hardships. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
When his powers were limited, Carson knew that Delarosa’s words would be futile, but now that he’s stepped into the Great Land and started to meet some powerful elites, he finally has the courage to ask.
If the troubles Delarosa faces can be solved by these top elites, Carson is willing to give up all opportunities to prioritize her issues and end his resentment.
Delarosa was silent for a while, then looked up and smiled softly at Carson: "You’ve wanted to ask this question for a long time, haven’t you?"
