The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 2336: This Guy Seems to Have Ulterior Motives
Fulfill your promise?
Carson Flores understood immediately: "Alright!"
He had previously promised Oberon Foster to escort Cirelle Moonshadow safely to the Illusory Moon Sect and had even sworn to do so, so naturally, he had to complete this task now.
Carson was very curious about what Flowing Cloud would do next.
At the mountain gate of Illusory Moon Sect, disciples stopped the group and shouted, "Who goes there?"
Carson Flores cupped his hands and said, "Please inform your Junior Sect Master, Magnus Flores, that Independent Cultivator Carson Flores, entrusted by others, is here to deliver Cirelle Moonshadow from Wind Snow Sect to your sect."
Wind Snow Sect?
The expressions of the disciples guarding the mountain gate immediately became quite nuanced, their gazes shamelessly falling on Cirelle Moonshadow, sizing her up and exchanging looks with each other, revealing frivolous smiles.
As disciples guarding the gate, they were well-informed, naturally aware of the Junior Sect Master’s preferences, and knew about the conflict between Wind Snow Sect and Illusory Moon Sect.
Wind Snow Sect obediently sent compensation, including the granddaughter of the Wind Snow Sect Leader, Cirelle Moonshadow.
Certainly a great beauty, no wonder the Junior Sect Master took a fancy to her!
"Why did Wind Snow Sect’s compensation get delivered by a Loose Cultivator like you, rather than someone from Wind Snow Sect?"
Carson answered frankly: "Wind Snow Sect originally sent a team to escort Cirelle Moonshadow here, but the Ocean King they were aboard was attacked in the Sea Fury Region, the entire ship sunk, and almost all passengers died. The Guard Captain struggled to deliver Cirelle safely ashore."
"Because Cirelle is so beautiful and traveling alone might be unsafe, the Guard Captain entrusted me on his deathbed to bring her over..."
After hearing the explanation, Illusory Moon Sect’s disciples lazily tossed out, "Wait!"
After sending a message inside the sect, they continued to brazenly stare at Cirelle, knowing that the Junior Sect Master had taken a liking to her, but only planned to use her as a plaything, while properly humiliating Wind Snow Sect in the process.
It’s just a plaything, what’s wrong with taking a few more glances?
The Junior Sect Master wouldn’t care!
Cirelle’s face remained covered with a veil, hiding her delicate beauty, but those bold, undisguised stares still made a strong sense of humiliation well up inside her.
She pressed her lips together, keeping her gaze low, silent and speechless, her heart a mix of emotions.
If she hadn’t met Carson, what would her fate be?
Although Flowing Cloud ultimately agreed to intervene, Cirelle knew his agreement was not a true act of chivalry but due to Carson.
What she experienced is really nothing in this world of survival of the fittest, played out every day incessantly. Who would invite trouble, risking their life for someone irrelevant?
Footsteps sounded, and Illusory Moon Sect’s Junior Sect Master, Magnus Flores, along with a middle-aged man, stepped out of the mountain gate.
Magnus Flores scanned the crowd with his gaze, settling on Cirelle Moonshadow, a smug smile appearing on his face.
"Cirelle Moonshadow, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time."
Cirelle gritted her teeth, lifted her head, raised her hand, and displayed the Space Bracelet: "I’ve brought all the compensation you asked for."
Magnus laughed heartily: "Good, straightforward! Rest assured, I’m a man of my word. As long as what we require is here, the grievances between Illusory Moon Sect and Wind Snow Sect are settled."
Cirelle removed the Space Bracelet and tossed it to Magnus: "Check it over."
Magnus took the Space Bracelet, scanning it with his Divine Sense, then satisfiedly raised his gaze: "The amount is correct."
Cirelle spoke solemnly: "Since the compensation is correct, you must keep your word and not trouble Wind Snow Sect again."
Magnus laughed boisterously: "Now that you’ve delivered, we naturally won’t make more fuss, but bear in mind, you’re no longer a Wind Snow Sect member. You’re now with Illusory Moon Sect, my woman, so don’t make any more slip-ups."
Cirelle bit her lips, remained silent.
Magnus directed his gaze at Carson and Flowing Cloud: "Are you Wind Snow Sect members?"
Carson replied calmly: "No, I’m a Loose Cultivator..."
Carson explained the situation again, causing Magnus’s expression to pause briefly, eyes clouded for an instant before returning to a smile: "You must’ve had a hard time, come in for some tea, rest a bit. I have a generous gift for you."
Carson cupped his hands: "In that case, we will intrude."
"Follow me!"
Magnus led the three into the sect and then took flight towards his Cave Mansion.
Soon, the group of five arrived at Magnus’s Cave Mansion, and once they entered, Magnus casually activated the Formation to close it.
Carson noticed Magnus’s actions but remained impassive.
With Flowing Cloud around, what’s there to fear?
Originally, Carson had wondered about causing trouble after completing the handoff, but now it seemed unnecessary.
This guy seemed to harbor ill intentions towards the two of them?
