"Hey, what do you think Principal Orion is going to say?"

"How would I know? Am I his personal assistant?"

"You all should chill. It would probably be about the tournament, or about the fact that classes are resuming tomorrow."

"Hmm, true. Maybe he wants to tell us all why Alex didn't participate. We have already heard the reason from him, though. So, there's nothing left to hear."

"I don't think that's the reason for this meeting. Have you forgotten that we are heading towards the hall of the second-year students which is only used when first-year students and second-year students are gathering? For all of us to gather like that, it has to be something really important."

The first-year students were discussing among themselves as they walked towards the second-year side of the Academy where the hall was located.

Just like one of them said, this hall was only used when both first-year students and second-year students were gathering, which meant that second-year students were definitely going to be present.

And for that to happen, it meant that it was something important.

Arin was also walking towards the hall alongside Lina and Hector who he met along the way.

After the boy delivered the message, Liora decided to go back to the Vampire Realm to tell the King that there weren't any signs of Vaelric attacking yet.

She also mentioned that once he notices anything, he should tell Roxanne, and Roxanne would pass the message to her.

Immediately she receives the message, she'll return to the human realm along with Sylas.

"Ah, Principal Orion doesn't often call meetings like this, especially one with second-year students," Hector said.

"That's why everyone is concerned," Lina said.

"Let's just hurry. Everyone is almost there," Arin said, and the other two nodded.

Finally, they arrive in the large hall, alongside some other students.

Most of the first-year students were already inside the hall, and a few second-year students were also inside.

It was obvious that the second-year students would be the last to arrive.

Arin, Hector and Lina found a spot at the right side of the hall, towards the back.

Slowly, the hall was getting filled up, and the chatter increased.

Finally, after a few more minutes, all the first-year and second-year students were inside the hall.

The teachers were on the platform, using their glares to make sure the noise in the hall wouldn't be too much.

Finally, Orion arrived.

Glancing at the students, he carried out his normal ritual of clearing his throat before speaking.

"I'm very sure most of you already know that I called you all here for something important, considering both the first-year and second-year students are present," he began. "Before I go straight to the point, I want to tell you all one thing."

The sea of students listened attentively, not wanting to miss out on anything Orion was saying.

His first set of words had already confirmed that it was indeed, important.

Orion cleared his throat again before he continued.

"What I'm about to say might cause panic among you all which will be understandable. But, I want you all to listen and don't start panicking without hearing all I have to say."

At this point, the first-year students and even the second-year students were getting tensed and even more curious.

For the first time since they became students of this Academy, no one made a single sound in the hall.

The silence was getting heavier, till Orion broke it again.

"I received a message from the King," Orion said. "The war with the Vampires has begun again."

The students were about to be shocked, but then, Orion dropped another bomb.

"And five Cities are currently being attacked by the Vampires."

War?

Vampires?

Of course, since the day a Vampire killed a student named Arthur in this Academy, many of the students have been having thoughts that the Vampires were returning.

And after Alex fought those Vampires that night, many of them suspected that the Vampires were really returning and another war was about to begin.

Though, the fact that they've lived in peace for more than two years now, and that the armies in the Kingdom were getting stronger every day seemed to reassure most of them that they would be okay.

And apart from that, the recent tournament eradicated the thoughts about the Vampires and war from their minds.

But now...

Now...

Just as Orion had predicted, he could already see the panic kicking in.

But before an uproar could begin, he quickly spoke.

"Remember what I said... Don't start panicking without hearing all I have to say."

The hall that was about to explode in noise instantly calmed down.

"I know most of you are worried about your families, but rest assured, the soldiers in those cities are already battling the Vampires, and the King has even sent a good number of Royal Soldiers to those cities to aid them."

Arin was processing all what Orion was saying.

'Liora just left, and the news about a Vampire attack just came...?'

The timing was crazy.

Without a single shred of doubt, he knew that Vaelric had finally struck.

'I have to let her know,' Arin thought. 'Especially now that it hasn't escalated.'

He remembered Liora telling him that she and Sylas would help the humans discreetly without showing their selves too much.

They didn't want to be something that would add to the worry of the humans, so they would assist in a way that the humans wouldn't really notice.

While Orion was talking, Arin noticed something.

'For some reason, he doesn't want to mention the names of the five cities that are being attacked by Vampires,' Arin thought.

A few other students had also noticed this, but they didn't want to say it out yet.

Arin squinted his eyes. 'The only explanation I can think of is that he's doing this because of the students. He doesn't want us to know which of the cities are being attacked so that we wouldn't panic more than we already have if we found out that our family is in one of those cities.'

Orion finally stopped talking about how the King has sent well-trained royal soldiers to those cities to aid them, and moved on to the next point.

"As for the Academies in this Kingdom, the King has made a decision," Orion said, his voice dropping a bit.

Arin instantly felt like whatever Orion was about to say now was even more serious.

"There will be more classes," Orion said, earning shocked gasps from the students.

He sighed. "To be more precise, there will be no more Academies... For now."

"What!?"
