The Eternal Bound-Chapter 51: A Dream?
Chapter 51 - A Dream?
"Well. Now you just have to decorate this cake... ah, please be careful. The cake is still hot."
The maid faithfully watched from start to finish how Triqi and her friends made the cake after they finished their group assignment. They seemed satisfied with their work, including Triqi, who looked radiant seeing the cake that smelled delicious.
She had never been to the kitchen, let alone eaten human food. But now Triqi had never even taken her eyes off the cake since it came out of the oven.
"Eh? You're done cooking it? Even though I really wanted to help you..." Illya, who appeared out of nowhere, showed a disappointed face. Behind her followed Eir, who also seemed interested in what they were making.
"What are you making?" asked Eir curiously. She approached them, nodding as she smelled the delicious aroma of the cake.
"Can I try one? Just think of it as a tester," Eir asked. Her daughter also joined in, holding her arm and whining spoiledly.
"I want some too! Can I have some, Triqi? Everyone?"
How could the others refuse the beautiful duo? Honestly, Eir and Illya didn't even fit to be called mother and daughter because they looked more like charming siblings.
"We would be honored if you would taste our cake," Nathan informed.
Eir smiled when she heard Nathan's words. "Thank you. Then, I will taste it," she said while cutting a bit of the cake for her and Illya.
Everyone waited anxiously for their reactions. Eir smiled. Triqi's friends reminded her of the fact that everyone was scared of her when she was the same age as them.
"It's delicious. I really like the softness of this cake," Eir commented after taking a bite. Illya was no less satisfied. The sweet girl kept nodding while holding her index finger and thumb to form an 'ok' sign.
The others seemed relieved that their food was a huge success. However, there was one person who was still interested in seeing the food. Triqi reached out her hand until a cold voice stopped her movement.
"Who allowed you to eat that food, Triqi?"
Triqi turned around. She just realized that Eir and Illya actually came with Valan. His eyes narrowed sharply. He was irritated because he hadn't been able to monopolize Triqi for himself.
However, Triqi was not afraid. Her curiosity defeated her fear of Valan. She tried to negotiate, not realizing that Valan was growling lowly.
"Just one bite. After that, I'll eat my food."
Triqi didn't mention the word blood there. She realized that Nathan and the others were still watching her. She couldn't be careless.
"Triqi, you know that the food-"
"Just one bite. It's okay. This is the first food I've made myself," Triqi interrupted stubbornly. Eir had given her a warning sign. Her twin sister was not in a good mood.
"Triqi, don't make me angry and pull you into the room right now!"
Valan growled warningly. The others were starting to get tense. And unfortunately, there was no Elyna or Val who could mediate them at this time.
"Just one bite, Valan! One bite won't kill-"
"TRIQI!"
Valan's patience was running out. He immediately pulled Triqi's hand without caring about Eir's prohibition and the human eyes that were looking at him. Eir immediately asked Illya to call Elyna. Elyna had to come before Valan lost control and ended up hurting his sister.
Her eyes then turned to look at Triqi's friends who looked shocked to see how rude Valan was to Triqi. They didn't know that human food was poisonous to Triqi. They also didn't know that Triqi and Valan were actually twins.
"Please forgive them. Do you want to eat the cake somewhere else?"
Nathan and the others could read the situation. In order not to complicate things, they finally chose to go home after saying goodbye to Eir.
Eir escorted them out. Only when they were gone did Eir let out a long sigh.

"You asked me to let you play with them, I did! You ignored me for them, I understand! But what this time? I asked Mom and Dad to move us to strengthen our family! Just us! Without interference from others! And what was that? You disobeyed me?! You know this is all for your own good, right?"
Elsewhere, Triqi kept trying to free herself from Valan's grip that was hurting her. Valan was made even more furious when Triqi didn't listen to him. Valan pulled Triqi's hand until her body jerked.
"LISTEN TO ME WHEN I'M TALKING, TRIQI! YOU ARE MINE! MY PARTNER! YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR PARTNER SAYS, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"
Triqi's face changed. She stared at Valan in annoyance, and her eyes started to fill with tears.
"No! I don't understand! Nothing has changed since you brought me here! You're controlling me! Do you know how hard it is for me to resist the urge to eat the food you guys eat every day?! You should have just let me! No need to be this angry! I, I just keep feeling trapped if you keep doing this!"
It worked. Valan's grip was finally released. Triqi immediately took advantage of the situation to run out of the room. Running away as far as possible, quickly passing their parents while crying.
"Val!"
Without being asked, Val immediately ran after Triqi. Elyna entered her child's room. She then looked at Valan with a disappointed look.
"What are you doing? You just hurt her, Valan."
Valan looked at his arm which unconsciously felt so hot. Triqi might have been hurt when Valan gripped his arm earlier, and Valan didn't care at all.
"I just asked you to let Triqi have fun with her new friends today. I know you're worried about her, but scolding her for something that wasn't entirely her fault isn't wise either, Valan."
Valan looked regretful. He hugged Elyna very tightly, whispering lowly near her ear.
"I hurt her. I hurt her, Elyna..."
Elyna flinched when Valan called her that. She stared at Valan in shock, then tried to call the name very softly.
"... Tritan?"
Valan stared at her for a long time. He looked very sad before collapsing into Elyna's arms and making her scream in fear and immediately call Eir.

"Sob, I'm the one who's wrong again. Why does everyone keep blaming me? Sob, I just want to live like them."
Triqi continued to sob while trying to wipe away her tears. She looked here and there, confused about where she was now.
Unknowingly, Triqi did use her powers. Teleporting to a place she didn't know.
"Where is this? Sob, Mom... Dad... help me..." Triqi cried again. Her body stiffened when a voice whispered in her ear.
"Why did you call them? Don't you have a father? Why did you forget him?"
Triqi looked in all directions. There was no one. When she looked forward again, a masked figure in a plain black robe in front of her.
Triqi was just about to run when the voice told her something.
"You can bring him back to life if you want. With your power. Do you know?"
Triqi's steps stopped. She seemed to be weighing the words of the robed man. Now ready to listen to what he said next.
"What... do you mean?" Triqi asked fearfully. The figure smiled sarcastically, showing his grin made by blood-red lips.
"Give your blood to your father, Triqi. Wound your hand using the werewolf's silver knife. You will see him come back to life. He is waiting for you, always hoping for you to save him as he gave his life for the safety of both of you."
"What do you mean?" Triqi asked in the end. She didn't know anything about this. She only knew that her father died when her mother gave birth.
"Your blood. Give it to her, and you will find out for yourself."
The figure disappeared after saying that. Triqi tried to chase after him before her head felt dizzy and she collapsed to the ground.
The last thing she remembered was the sound of her father's panicked screams, which slowly disappeared as her eyes closed.
