Chapter 1822: Awakening the Dream (II)

“End him. NOW!”

The thunderous voice of the Lord of Ages reverberated through the highest sky, carrying desperation and urgency like never before. Only moments earlier, he had wished fervently for the Star ArchDeity to join him against Tiamat. Yet, now his thoughts and very soul were consumed by one overwhelming demand—to annihilate the Neo-Demon before he completed his terrifying evolution. Trapped beneath Tiamat’s relentless assault, unable to intervene directly, he placed all his hopes and fears squarely upon the shoulders of the Star ArchDeity.

The ArchDeity needed no further encouragement; his instincts were already screaming the exact same warning. Every passing second magnified the horrifying potential rising within that crater. Without hesitation or pause, he plunged downward, his heart thundering violently in his chest, urgency quickening every heartbeat as he felt that terrifying energy surge upward from below.

Yet, before he could reach the crater’s edge, a figure materialized, intercepting his path with defiant elegance. A young woman appeared, radiant and unyielding, her presence powerful enough to challenge the stars themselves.

Meylin stood defiantly with her dark hair flowing like midnight silk, her eyes fiercely beautiful, reflecting a will that defied gods and heavens alike.

“You dare to get in my way?!” the Star ArchDeity roared, voice shaking with absolute fury and disbelief. He swung his sword in rage, generating a titanic crescent of starfire that surged violently toward Meylin.

Yet Meylin showed no fear nor hesitation. The lotus surrounding her bloomed magnificently, opening wide as her twin eyes flared brilliantly—the Right Eye of Pride blazing golden, the Left Eye of Envy shimmering emerald green. With absolute conviction, she unleashed her swords, Hell and Abyss, simultaneously. Two arcs of potent energy, mimicking the starfire itself, raced forward to intercept the devastating strike of the ArchDeity.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!”

A thunderous explosion lit the sky as their attacks collided violently. Meylin was thrown back violently by the shockwave, her mouth filling with blood. Her body trembled under the force, yet miraculously she had halted the advance of the Star ArchDeity, delaying him even if only for a fleeting moment.

“You two cockroaches!” the ArchDeity snarled in outraged disbelief. The fact that another mere Prima Deity could stand against him—even briefly—made his blood boil with humiliation and fury. He launched into another vicious barrage, attacking Meylin with an unrestrained ferocity.

Meylin fought back fiercely, sacrificing her energy and burning through her life force without a single moment’s hesitation. Her eyes were unwavering as she matched blow for blow, turning the sky into a battlefield of explosive force.

Witnessing her strength firsthand, all Prima Deities present finally saw clearly what many had overlooked: Meylin was not merely Cain’s shadow, but a peak talent herself, not only within the Second Realm but across the entirety of the Crimson World!

Still, even Meylin’s prodigious talent had limits. Her Depravita Path was still at the Middle Prima Deity stage, and it didn’t take long for the Star ArchDeity to finally break through her desperate defenses. His blade descended with unstoppable force, shattering her protective lotus instantly. Meylin’s figure was hurled through the air, half her body nearly obliterated, her form bloody and broken.

Yet even at this moment, a faint but triumphant smile appeared on Meylin’s lips. Her goal had been accomplished: she’d delayed him long enough.

The Star ArchDeity cursed furiously, torn between the desire to obliterate Meylin completely and the urgent instinct to stop Cain’s transformation. Deciding swiftly, he raced downward once again toward the crater—but at that exact moment, it happened.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!”

A cataclysmic explosion of cosmic power erupted from within the crater with unimaginable force, instantly catapulting the Star ArchDeity violently back into the heavens. Shocked silence gripped the battlefield as every being—Tiamat, the Lord of Ages, the countless Prima Deities—turned their eyes toward the source of that profound burst of energy.

The Prima Deities might not fully comprehend every nuance of what they witnessed, but the ArchDeities knew it.

“He has completed the Primary Form of his Dream…” the Lord of Ages whispered, his voice heavy with dread and horror. Awakening one’s Dream was an achievement so daunting it often took Prima Deities millions of years just to grasp its initial stage.

Yet Cain, who had ascended to deityhood less than a decade prior, had just accomplished this supreme feat, displaying power and potential far surpassing even the Lord of Ages himself.

As all eyes gazed upward in wonder and fear, a majestic figure slowly ascended from the blazing pillar of energy. No longer was Cain a massive, hulking humanoid draconic figure. Instead, he emerged as something far more refined and perfected, every ounce of his being optimized for absolute dominance.

Rising gracefully from the scorched earth was an entity embodying pure, divine destruction. Cain stood precisely five meters tall, encased in fearsome, jagged black armor intricately carved with glowing crimson runes.

These runes pulsed rhythmically, like veins of molten rock threading through obsidian stone. His powerful physique radiated raw, supernatural strength, broad shoulders and limbs meticulously designed for battle. A terrifying, horned helmet hid his face, leaving only two slits glowing with a void-like intensity.

From his back unfurled four colossal wings, formed of darkness, blood, and searing flames. They stretched wide, their beat sending ripples through space-time, casting nightmarish shadows of crimson and obsidian across the battlefield. Torn edges lined the wings as though they’d been forged and tempered through countless battles across dimensions beyond mortal comprehension.

In Cain’s right hand remained Sky Devourer, now seemingly oversized. Yet, influenced by the cosmic energies coursing through Cain, the blade rapidly condensed, reshaping itself into an evolved form perfectly matched to its wielder’s heightened might. The sword hummed ominously, warping the air around it, as though reality itself recoiled in fear.

Overhead, the heavens churned in a tempest of storm and fire, signifying the ascension of a new apex predator. Cain’s glowing eyes surveyed his reborn form, satisfaction evident in every deliberate movement. The Primary Form of Imperium had wholly transformed him from within, refining every aspect to its absolute peak.

Slowly, Cain’s gaze shifted upward toward the still-stunned Star ArchDeity. A cold, decisive smile spread across his lips as he spoke only two chilling words.

“Seventh Gear.”
