Chapter 150: The Second Transmigrator

He was certain now—this extraordinary, sentient Ice Flower had come from the same world he once lived in.

When he reached this conclusion, a wave of joy surged through him.

So it turned out he wasn’t the only one in this world who didn’t quite fit.

He wasn’t some outcast or anomaly.

Although he had been reincarnated into this world rather than possessing someone else’s body, there was still a sense of alienation he carried.

And now, finally—someone else, something else, proved he wasn’t alone.

Humans are inherently social creatures.

To Eoryun, finding someone "familiar" in a "foreign" world felt like a pie falling from the sky—one that not only wasn’t poisoned, but actually tasted quite delicious.

The only problem was... why weren’t things going the way he imagined?

In his imagination: Hometown fellows meeting in a foreign land, tears brimming in their eyes, embracing one another while crying their hearts out.

In reality.

The "fellow townsman" played dead and swore never to respond to a single word.

This doesn’t make sense.

Eoryun hadn’t expected things to develop in such an absurd direction.

Not once had this particular scenario ever crossed his mind.

Damn it!

Eoryun was now truly out of options.

He had never considered the possibility that his "fellow traveler" might not want to share a tearful moment of reunion.

So naturally, he hadn’t thought of a backup plan to deal with that outcome.

Eoryun opened his mouth, trying to force a few words from his throat, but found himself unable to say anything coherent.

After a long internal struggle, he only managed to squeeze out: "You," and "Me."

It was honestly painful to witness.

In the end, Eoryun—completely defeated—resorted to pitiful pleading.

"Ice Flower, why won’t you talk to me? Aren’t we come from the same place?"

Juwon who is still pretending to be dead: "..."

Didn’t hear you. Don’t @ me.

Juwon had no clue who the person across from him really was.

Right now, all he could do was wait for the system to respond and only then would he consider what to do next.

There was absolutely, definitely no way he was going to reply casually.

Absolutely not!

Eoryun, however, wasn’t giving up. "We already confirmed it with the song—we’re both from the same place," he said, his voice sounding slightly deflated.

This was the first time he had ever been stonewalled like this.

"If you’re not sure, how about we try a few more? Just to be certain?"

Juwon had planned to keep playing dead to the bitter end.

But before he could stop it—before he could even brace himself—his suspected "fellow traveler" dropped another line on him like a sneak attack.

"What Jungkook zodiac sign?"

"Virgo!" Ice Flower blurted out reflexively.

The moment he replied, Juwon felt as though the sky had gone dark—like the heavens were about to collapse on top of him.

That damned, uncontrollable DNA!

Why did it have to act up again?!!!

Meanwhile, Illiya and the others weren’t far off.

They had all crouched behind a large rock, each of them poking their little heads out stealthily to spy on what was happening in front of them.

Their movements were smooth and practiced—clear signs that they were professionals at this sort of thing.

But honestly, with the current situation being what it was, nobody had the right to judge anyone else’s methods.

Those who lacked the hardware advantage could only listen closely with their eyes wide open and ears perked, trying to catch every word Eoryun said.

As for those with the hardware—namely Illiya and Sebastian—they were already extending their magic power to connect with the freely drifting magic power in the air.

After all, plants couldn’t talk. The only way to communicate... was through their magic power.

The moment Illiya connected to the Ice Flower’s magic power, his entire spiritual sea was instantly flooded with a continuous stream of frantic "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh"—a wave of noise so chaotic that he nearly cut the connection then and there.

Fortunately, his reason stopped him just in time.

Besides the familiar voice of the Ice Flower, Illiya this time also caught that strange, toneless voice again.

Just like before, the conversation between the two—when filtered through Illiya’s perception—sounded as if the key information had been redacted or censored.

It was very odd.

Someone unaware of the situation might’ve thought they were eavesdropping on something indecent, when in reality, the filtered dialogue was due to some kind of special energy field blocking important information.

After listening for a while, Illiya was surprised to discover that, in fact, most of the talking was done by the Ice Flower.

And what could an Ice Flower possibly be saying?

Nothing but meaningless howls, mixed with a few vaguely threatening phrases directed at some unknown entity.

Although Illiya didn’t know what "complaint" meant in this context, he had a gut feeling it wasn’t a pleasant word.

As for the strange energy entity, it uncharacteristically remained silent.

Judging by the flow of conversation, Illiya guessed it was either feeling guilty or simply had nothing left to say.

Still, from their exchange, Illiya managed to gather several pieces of valuable information.

For instance: "There’s only one transmigrator on this world."

Transmigrator...

Was that referring to someone who had crossed through the dimensional barrier into this world?

Interesting.

But if there was supposed to be only one transmigrator... then by the Ice Flower’s own words, that would be himself.

There shouldn’t be a second one.

Yet now, here stood Eoryun who is excitedly singing unknown song like it was a secret club meeting.

Illiya was quite certain: there was absolutely nothing abnormal about Eoryun’s soul.

The compatibility rate between his soul and body was one hundred percent, with no signs of deviation.

Only a soul that was born with that body could achieve such perfect synchronization.

So, Eoryun’s soul was definitely original and unaltered.

Which meant that the status of this so-called "second transmigrator" deserved a big question mark.

Illiya pondered for a moment, then finally recalled a few scattered pieces of knowledge about memory and soul lore tucked away in some corner of his mind.
