The dragon's harem-Chapter 1224: Deep In Thoughts
Tyal gave Claug a pout and then skulked aside. "Fine, I know." Technically speaking, Arad's wives still had their spots to worry about. Tyal can't do anything before Alice, who knew Arad before her, and neither has any right to go for it before Claug herself. That was the basic form of respect between his wives; each knew her place in the line and would respect the others.
Of course, there were many in line before Claug, and she, too, couldn't do anything at the moment. Of course, all of those rules fly out of the window if Arad moves first.
Claug herself could allow any of the wives to take her spot in the line, for a price, and that price was blood. As a drakaina, she already expected some in-fighting among the wives, and if any can beat her, she'll gladly yield her spot.
That was the catch; no one dared face her. Even Gamond chose to stay back and made sure that her daughter Kory never got any funny idea about fighting Claug. She described Claug as a rabid beast full of deadly diseases and poisons.
Even Arad didn't get a chance to see Claug fight, but Gamond had seen her in the past and warned him. Claug can punch far higher than her draconic age implies, just like him. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
For that reason, Arad couldn't help but feel like he was stuck between three monsters. Alice, he knew her power well. She can probably rival Merlin in magic, but has refined her skill for longer and boasts the physical might of a storm titan on top of everything.
Tyal is a powerful Titan that even Zeus approved of her might. Arad knows for sure that she can flip the whole castle on them in a second. And what terrified him more was Claug, and the fact that no matter how many people told him about her power, none seemed to realise that her head is her greatest weapon. Even Gamond seemed to underestimate how much Claug knew about the world.
Arad couldn't help but smile. ^Hey Mom, what do you say?^
The fragment of his mother's soul that was in his mind remained silent for a while, and then replied.
^All of them are far older than you. Be careful, they might swindle you around.^ She then giggled, ^You're always gone for them, just remember Nina and Merlin.^
Arad knew what she was talking about. While Mom wanted him to find women who are in their early to mid twenties because they are young a fertile, he seems to have changed pace and started going for slightly older women, even going for an ancient drakaina instead of an adult one.
Mom seems to have given up on trying to guide him long ago. While most void dragons tend to follow their mother's will since they grow and learn in her womb before being born, he seems to have taken a bit more from his father.
Now that he started thinking about it, he first thought that his mother was a greatwyrm, but that can't be true. Since if she were a greatwyrm, then he wouldn't have been born.
Dragons are most fertile at their adult stage, where they are equal to humans between twenty and thirty years old. Mature adult dragons are between thirty and forty years old. Old people are between forty and fifty years old, and ancients are as fertile as a human between fifty and sixty years old.
Poor Claug won't be having any children anytime soon. Her only chance would be to reach the twilight and surpass it just like Gamond did. Arad was now almost certain that his mother had surpassed the twilight, that would be the only explanation for her great power. His father was quite impressive, having managed to get such a drakaina while being a human.
But as he was resting on the bed, he was also with Zephyr. The two of them had just finished reading every scroll in the office and found nothing that could help them easily solve the problem. This meant that their search had to continue.
If all fails, Arad would have to resort to making Tyal challenge her father for the throne. Which would mean he would have to incorporate the Storm Titans into his empire... which he is sure that Isdis would kill him for it, all of that work is going to break her back.
While most kingdoms see the Titans as a powerful ally, all that Arad sees them as is a source of infinite food thanks to the mountain range teeming with monsters.
"How many of you are out there working?" Zephyr landed on his shoulder and looked at him with a worried face.
"Four, I'm here with you, at the same time in bed with them back in our room, another me is flying to the university, and one is left in the castle to help Isdis deal with the political matter." He cracked his neck, "I see all, hear all, and feel all."
A smile crossed his face. "Want to see a neat trick? Jump back into my stomach." The two flew out of the window and into the storm. When Arad found a safe place to hide in, Zephyr flew into his stomach and then exited again. This time, she found herself back in Alina, Arad was in his bed with Aella at his side. The two seem to have just finished some quality time.
Aella immediately opened her eyes when she sensed Zephyr's magic. "Weren't you with him in the Storm Titan kingdom?"
Zephyr looked around and then landed on Aella's bare chest and looked at Arad with a puzzled face. "Wait... your magic is just as strong here."
"It is indeed. I was wondering how I'll be able to eat a whole world and then realised it. The reason my magic area is so large is that I need to encompass a whole world to swallow it directly into my stomach."
Zephyr thought about it for a few seconds, "An eight-thousand-kilometer sphere centered around you, and now you have four of them to try and cover the whole world."
"You're right, Lunara said that the moon is just seven thousand kilometers wide, so I can probably swallow it whole, but this world is much, much more massive. Do you know how wide it is?"
Zephyr dropped onto the soft pillows beneath her and closed her eyes. "Give me a second."
Soon, she started sweating, and her eyes burned with magic. Aella, who was there, looked at Arad with a pale face. "She is using a lot of magic to access her expansion."
Soon, Zephyr sighed, "Thirty-five thousand kilometers, give or take a few hundred."
"I can't eat it until I become a mature adult, or use my clones." He smiled, and Zephyr burst out laughing.
"Keep on dreaming, you will never be able to eat this world."
Arad sighed, "I know, four bodies aren't enough."
But the fairy stood and kicked him in the face. Her kick did no damage at all, but she still glared at him, "Don't even try, or your mother will spank you so hard you won't sit for a decade."
She was right, his mother already ate this world, and she is the one protecting him. When he is ready to leave, she'll be the first one he meets.
