The Devil's Betrothed-Chapter 777: To Get The Answers
Chapter 777: To Get The Answers
Evanthe fell unconscious in Draven’s arms while crying. All her energy had been exhausted after trying to tap on her true powers.
Drayce finally approached them. He lifted his mother in his arms and they disappeared from the place. Drayce carried her back to the Witch Clan where he let her rest inside one of the healing chambers.
"She is just exhausted," Draven assured.
Drayce hummed and once more passed some of his divine powers to Evanthe to help her weak body.
Cornelia arrived there and informed, "Morpheus and Aureus are awake as well."
Draven hummed, and instructed Cornelia, "Stay by Evanthe’ side. Don’t let her go anywhere."
Both the Dragons left to see the divine eagles, while Oriana finally asked something which she had been wondering about. "Lady Cornelia, where is Yorian?"
"I am not sure either. He had gone all of a sudden," Cornelia informed.
"Disappeared?" Oriana asked in surprise, "Yorian would never disappear in such a situation."
"I know. I am sure there is a reason," Cornelia assured.
When Draven and Drayce left Evanth’e healing chamber, they heard the noises.
"Lord Morpheus, Lord Aureus, you can’t leave in such a situation. Please listen to us," it was Silvia who was trying to stop the two divine eagles who were in rage and were leaving to get the ones they had decided to protect.
"Do not force me to use my powers on you." That was Morpheus’ angry voice.
"Step aside," Aureus was the same. The usually polite Aureus had no intentions of being polite.
"Stay down, Morpheus, Aureus." Draven’s voice echoed in the place, "Don’t be reckless in this situation."
Silvia, the white witch, felt relieved that someone was finally here to stop these two eagles.
Morpheus looked at him, his gaze anything but calm, "Seems like you have yet not realized that someone had taken away our mate."
"I am well aware, but it’s your time to realise the ones who had taken her away are more powerful than us," Draven responded as he stood facing Morpheus. "If you could win against them, then Ember would be with us now. Moreover, do you even know where to go to look for our mate?"
Hearing it, the guilt of not being able to protect his mate gripped even strongly to Morpheus’ heart.
"I am not blaming you and you should not blame yourself as well. If I was here, the result would have been the same," Draven added, "Those are angels and we are just earthly supernaturals. If we plan to fight them, we have to be well prepared."
"Well prepared?" Morpheus said in disbelief and in anger, "and till then let Ember be with them? We don’t even know what they would do with her. We know she is a previous deity of fire which the heaven realm sees as a threat. What if..."
"They can’t harm her. Trust me," Draven said as he placed his hand on Morpheus’ shoulder, "Or I wouldn’t be this calm as well." He looked at Aureus, "You have to be calm as well."
Aureus looked at Drayce, who said to him, "Draven is right. We will bring Ember and Seren back. You don’t have to feel guilty for not being able to protect them. All we need to do is to gather every help we can and plan our moves with no mistakes. Our enemies are far more powerful than we can deal with."
Aureus could only hum but the guilt of not being able to protect Seren could never be lessened. ’She surely doesn’t deserve a weak beast like me as her mate. That’s why she is Dragon’s mate. I am not even worthy of her. I can’t even protect her.’
"If both of you are recovered, you should join us in the preparations," Draven added.
Both could only agree while Morpehus said. "I won’t let them off once I face them again. They will pay for taking my mate away from me."
Draven and Drayce shared the same sentiments, but they kept their calm. Aureus felt the same to save Seren and he was ready to go to any length.

When Evanthe woke up, they all gathered in one room. They had to discuss the approach to enter the heaven realm. Evanthe looked much better and was ready for the serious conversation.
"Evanthe, if any of us had been to heaven realm, it is only you, Sierra and I," Draven began, "We two have no memories of that world when we used to be the part of the heaven realm. But had Sierra ever said anything to you? Anything that can help us reach and deal with the heaven realm?"
Evanthe closed her eyes, her brows knitted as if trying to recall the things Sierra had ever said about that realm, though she always tried to never say anything about it. Those were mostly talk about her good time in heaven realm and how beautiful that realm was.
But then between that chaotic battle, other than reminding Evanthe about her powers, Sierra said something more as well, but her words were almost inaudible as she disappeared with the angels.
"So..lon.." Evanthe murmured as she focussed on Sierra’s lips movement, "She said something like...I can trust Solon...I have no idea what or who this Solon is..."
"Must be a deity who she trusts," Drayce said, "In the heaven realm, I believe there is at least someone who can still be called as both of your friend."
"There is a way to know about this Solon or any other deity from the heaven realm," Arlan said and looked at Oriana, "Seems like you have to make a trip to the Demon realm."
Oriana understood. "I believe Xyron can reveal more information that we can expect. If he knows God of war, he must know all the deities there."
Everyone agreed to this while Arlan said, "I will come with you."
"That seems to be the safest way to know about deities without entering heaven realm and alerting them about our arrival," Drayce added.
Just then Evanthe spoke, "Are Demons punished if they break a rule that is set by heaven?"
Oriana shook her head, "Matters and rules in the heavens don’t concern the demon realm."
"Then, I am coming with you as well," Evanthe replied, "Xyron won’t be punished if he reveals about my life in the heaven realm and I will get to know something which can be useful." ƒree𝑤ebnσvel-com
"That makes sense," Draven said.
"He can surely reveal things that happened before the last war between Gods and Demons, but not later than that," Oriana said, "I am sure it would be helpful."
Evanthe looked at Draven, "You are coming as well. You, as a god of war, are more powerful and we need to find out your past as well. If both of us regains our true powers, we can defeat deities."
Draven hummed as if he had the same thing in mind.
Evanthe looked at her son. Before she could say anything, Drayce spoke, "I am coming as well. There is something I want to ask Xyron if he knows."
Others wondered what’s there that Drayce wanted to ask.
Draven looked at Morpheus, "You have to..."
"Don’t even think about leaving me back here," Morpheus declared in a serious voice as if he would not take no for an answer, "I might just ask him about my mate’s previous life or whatever, but I am coming."
Draven could only sigh helplessly.
Evanthe turned to Aureus who said, "Mother, I want to be of help as well." He could not say he wanted to go for Seren.
"I know, but once we are gone, we need someone powerful to take care of the kingdom," Evanthe replied, "We are simply going to the Demon realm. But when we need help against the heaven realm, you will definitely be with us."
Aureus could only agree to it, while others decided to set off to the Demon realm.
