Chapter 338: Definitely a Fantasy, Right?

At this moment, Shien’s group had already entered the chaotically arrayed allies and started heading into the depths of Cosmos.

However, that journey was not a smooth one.

“Hey! That young noble over there!”

“Got anything valuable on you?”

“Leave it behind then!”

“Also that maid with you. You better leave her behind with us too!”

“I rather like those two little girls more!”

“They’re all nice! Leave them all here!”

As they walked down those dark paths, several figures suddenly popped out in front of Shien and company with weapons in hand and started laughing perversely at Shien.

Given how they’re dressed, they looked kind of like bandits or gangsters. However, due to the beast ears and tails on them and the animal skin clothes they’re wearing, they looked even more like barbarians.

Any normal person who encountered something like that should definitely have been terrified, right?

Beastmen are a physically standout race from the start. Their bodies are strong, much stronger than humans or elves. Showing their viciousness here would naturally be enough to scare anyone normal stiff.

They seemed to fully understood their own situation too. Given their actions and the aura they’re displaying, this shouldn’t be their first time doing something like this.

In other words, those guys are career criminals, bandits that specialize in robberies and murder.

However, in the face of those criminals, Shien just let out an annoyed sigh.

Never mind Shien, even Airi was showing an annoyed expression. Only Beatrice was blinking curiously. Lasha was still as calm as always, as if nothing had happened at all.

“How many times has this been?”

Shien turned to ask Lasha.

“If I’m remembering correctly, this should be the 11th time.”

Lasha replied without any emotion.

“The 11th time…” Shien spoke with annoyance, “Isn’t that a bit much?”

“It can’t be helped.” Lasha was still as calm as always, “This is the border, which means it’s a lawless battlefield from the start. Add in the fact that it’s a major melting pot of various races and the fact that the situation here has become this way, there are naturally many opportunistic people like this.”

“Sigh…” Shien let out an extremely undisguised sigh.

The beastmen criminals got extremely angry with the fact that Shien’s group was practically ignoring them.

“Are you looking down on us!?”

“You got quite the guts, noble brat!”

“It looks like we’re going to have to teach you a little lesson then!”

“Regret this and repent!”

Those provocative beastmen all started charging toward Shien.

Putting everything else aside, they were quite fast. Beastmen’s strong natural physical abilities did not disappoint.

Unfortunately, they chose the wrong person to pick on.

“[Flying Star].”

Shien just impatiently waved a hand and countless stars lit up, turned into a number of tiny meteors, and blasted out like beams of light.

This is a beginner class spell in Astro magic. It’s quite weak in power, mainly used as suppression fire. It’s something like blank ammo from his previous life, mainly used to intimidate and capture others alive.

Of course, in the hand of Shien, with his magic skill at max level, this kind of spell that purposefully lowered its attack power in favor of suppression ability would still become terrifyingly powerful even if it’s a beginner class spell.

Thus…

“Bang bang bang bang bang-!”

As those tiny meteors as thin as beams of light fell, the entire ally was blasted and exploded like it was being rained down on by miniature artillery.

“Wha-!?”

“Ugh-!”

“Gah-!”

The beastmen criminals just saw countless flashes of light before them before it felt like a wave of explosions washed over them. They were blown around and sent flying every which way and turned into trash that was freely stomped upon. In just a few moments, all of them fell to the ground, barely alive.

Only smoke and dust was let in that dark alley.

When she saw this, Beatrice showed a happy expression like she saw a beautiful fireworks display. Lasha was as calm and emotionless as always.

Only Airi couldn’t help but say something.

“Is this really a completely harmless beginner class spell used purely for suppression?”

Does the mortal realm have some different definition of the words “suppression”, “harmless”, and “beginner magic”?

The effect of this beginner class spell obviously showed about the same effect as a high class spell. If not for its lack of damaging effect, this entire alley would have likely been destroyed, right?

Could it be that the legendary astro magic is just that scary?

Airi at least doesn’t believe that.

“Don’t act overboard. This is indeed beginner class magic.”

Shien wasn’t surprised at all though. In fact, he didn’t even bother to explain.

The reason was simple. Any attack magic from has always been terrifyingly powerful and causes a great deal of destruction. It’s to the point where Shien is completely unable to use magic to attack in certain circumstances, making him feel quite uncomfortably restrained sometimes.

Thus, when he found a suppression spell with no damage like [Flying Star], Shien was actually happier than he was to get a high class spell.

Thanks to that, Shien quite favored the spell [Flying Star]. He even ended up training and studying it for a while to the point where he’s capable of freely controlling the number and area of effect for the stars.

“Same as always, I’ll leave you to deal with these people, Lasha.”

Shien thus signaled Lasha.

“Yes.”

Lasha had no objections. She just moved forward and dragged the barely alive beastmen into another corner and returned not two seconds later.

During this journey, all the pests that Shien had dealt with were dragged into a corner and dealt with by Lasha like this.

Because Lasha would return after less than two seconds, Shien had even curiously headed over to that corner and checked it out the first time. The result was that Shien was shocked to discover that those guys had completely disappeared without the slightest sign.

“W-where did you stash them?”

Shien had asked her in shock.

“I placed them where they should go.”

Lasha however just answered Shien like that. Her tone was as if she was saying “there’s no need to mind where trash goes” or “Trash should be burried”. It was actually kind of scary.

At the very least, Shien didn’t dare to ask any further.

He felt like if he did try to pursue this, the it would definitely end up unearthing something that would destroy his sense of reality.

Thus, it all ended with just “Oneesama’s amazing”.

Of course, that wasn’t the only part of Oneesama taht’s amazing.

“Speaking of, we’ve just been aimlessly moving around and turning corners. Can we really find an inn like this?”

Shien was a bit doubtful.

However, Lasha just stared intently at Shien, all the way until the point where the staring was starting to scare Shien, until she finally spoke.

“Please do not doubt my professional ability.”

That’s what Lasha said.

That’s right, even though it was clearly their first time in Cosmos, and the buildings within Cosmos has even turned so chaotic, Lasha was still leading everyone along like she was a long time resident and had memorized where everything is for some reason.

Her personal explanation is: “Don’t worry. I’ve already reserved the inn. Please just follow me.”

Truth be told, Shien had no idea just when Lasha had the time to reserve the inn.

Even though this maid had obviously only suddenly disappeared for a few minutes after entering the city. Could she have really memorized the entire layout of the city, found an inn, and reserved the rooms just within those few minutes?

That kind of power… If it was those time management masters from his previous life who could trigger all the flags, have fun, while at the same time preventing any fires in their harems were to learn of this, they’d likely end up kneeling to Lasha and call her master, right?

This isn’t even something that can be described with the word perfect anymore. Rather, it’s definitely a fantasy, right?

She should just stop being a maid and go directly to being a queen instead, right? My great Lasha-oneesama!

While Shien was being utterly stupefied, Airi on the other hand never doubted Lasha’s abilities at all.

“Since an inn’s already been reserved, then lets hurry over already.” Airi’s annoyance and boredom levels have already accumulated up near its max, so she didn’t want to keep wandering around outside anymore, “If it’s going to keep being annoying, then I really am going to destroy this city.”

Those words were terrifying.

Yet, Shien is actually sympathizing with it.

If not for the fact that he didn’t want to harm the innocent citizenry of the city, then Shien really would have wanted to clear out the city with a meteor rain.

After all, the one who would actually lose out from that is a certain duke who Shine is in conflict with, so Shien would definitely be happy to do something to make him cry.

“They’re both sealing off an area, so why couldn’t he just do the same thing as Garibaldi and gather everything in a camp outside, so that I can take it out without worries?”

Shien casually spoke out words that could earn him divine punishment.

Anyways, after being continuously harassed by a bunch of minor lowlifes over and over the entire time, it wasn’t just Airi who was at her limits. Even Shien was annoyed.

“If it happens again, then I really won’t be holding back anymore. I’ll directly let those trash regret their actions in hell.”

Shien threw out some vicious words there.

However, now Airi has an objection.

“Didn’t you say something about not going on about killing?”

That girl was quite assertive here.

“I was talking about girls back then, not about boys.”

Shien immediately shot back.

At that moment, Lasha suddenly spoke up.

“You’re no longer a boy anymore either, Mister Shien.”

That one sentence fell like a bucket of cold water.

Just as Airi was being shocked, and even Beatrice had blinked while looking disbelievingly at Lasha, Shien, whose mouth was twitching, suddenly detected a number of magical signatures approaching.

“This is?”

Shien raised an eyebrow.

It’s because Shien is familiar with one of the magical energy signatures among those approaching.

“That young master’s come too?” Shien grinned and muttered, “Alright then. Things have turned a bit interesting then.”

It wasn’t just Shien. Airi seemed to have noticed something too.

“Again, huh?”

Airi, who didn’t know who it was, finally showed a cold expression.

Seeing that, Shien hurriedly explained.

“This time, it isn’t some thief trying to rob us, you know.” Shien said, but then his tone shifted, “However, they might be even more annoying.”

When she heard the words “even more annoying”, Airi spoke up.

“As I thought. Let’s destroy it. This city that is.”

Airi’s patience was finally at its end.

“No, there’s no need for that.” Shien shook his head and spoke playfully, “However, we could play a trick here.”

As he said that, a terrifying wave of magic power suddenly erupted from Shien’s body.

With that enormous amount of magic power, Shien suddenly stomped down.

“[Enchant – Shift].”

In that instant, the entirety of Cosmos suddenly shook.

Right after, an enormous transformation started to occur.
