Chapter 240: The Real Big Shot, Unquestionably

When Shien left the room with Lasha and headed toward the dining room, he discovered that this maid didn’t seem to have just done something that made him shut down, but she also did plenty of things that made other people shut down as well.

For example…

“M-mister Shien…!”

“Your maid is just way too amazing!”

“All the work was already completed by the time we woke up!”

“And it’s done far better than we could have as well!”

“J-just how did she do that?”

“We don’t have any work to do now!”

Those are the panicked crying that surrounded Shien when he entered the dining room. They were from the various maids who have all gotten ready to start their work for the day, but instead ended up discovering that all their work had already been finished.

In addition…

“Breakfast…”

“That maid already made it…”

“Ugh, so delicious…”

“The stuff I made were garbage…”

“I’ll go hand my resignation to the butler in a bit…”

“Please bring us along as well…”

That was what Shien saw from the various chefs when he entered the dining room. They were all on their knees at the door to the kitchen, currently broken like they’ve lost all reason for living.

Besides that, there’s also…

“… Mister Shien, the gardeners just came by to tell me that the yard’s flower garden and hedges have all been properly trimmed, and the resulting garden arrangement is practically a work of art. They were struck hard, and they’re planning on resigning to go back and return their profession.”

The butler sneakily whispered such a thing to Shien with a complicated expression.

Besides that, there were also many many things that were all completed without anyone realizing while Shien was asleep.

Shien just stood there, dumbfounded, for some time. He even ended up taking a tour around the Latrard house, and he ended discovering that the entire manse’s cleanliness went up by more than an order of magnitude. Every corner was utterly purged of dust. Even the restrooms and the bath was completely cleaned until it shined. The outside gardens are also arranged like its an otherworldly wonder.

The Latrard home is now like it’s from an anime or something. It’s now clean and beautiful to the point where it was nearly shining.

Hn. The breakfast that Lasha prepared was also unbelievably delicious. It make one feel like all the food they’ve eaten before are all complete garbage.

With all that, it’s no wonder that everyone was so deeply crushed.

It’s because it’s not even a question of whether or not it’s possible to compete anymore. Rather, just looking at such work could only make everyone feel like their own work is utterly incompetent and completely unworthy of consideration.

The most important part of it though, is that this god-like work was all done by Lasha without anyone noticing.

She didn’t alert a single person during all this. Not even the paroling guards managed to notice a trace of her. In such a situation, Lasha had completed everything without the slightest notice.

This made Shien go silent for some time. Afterward, he finally understood something.

“The reason that Lasha’s Flowersong Mansion was so beautiful was only because of this maid’s work, right?”

It’s wondrous, otherworldly beauty wasn’t something inherent at all, but something created huh?

Anywhere that Lasha stays will end up that way then?

That maid’s completely broken!

Of course, the person in question didn’t react at all. She instead continued as if it was all only natural.

That’s because…

“That is my job.”

Lasha simply calmly declared.

Thus, Shien had seen a completely unscientific scene.

“P-please allow me to study under you! Onee-sama!”

“I won’t ask to be accepted as your student! I only beg to be allowed to stay by you as your servant!”

“No! It’s fine to just treat us like your slaves and train us!”

“Please accept us! Onee-sama!”

“Lasha onee-sama!”

“Kya!”

All the maids of the household knelt down before Lasha, pulling at her skirt. Their eyes weren’t just flashing with stars anymore, but actual hearts.

What’s most terrifying though is that near the end, some even started screaming like they’ve found meaning to living on.

In the end, even the chefs and gardeners knelt down as well, calling Lasha onee-sama all the while.

At that point, Shien only had one thing in his head.

“It’s over.”

Those guys have all gone mad. There’s no saving them anymore.

Especially when he saw even that 80 years old butler joining in the group surrounding Lasha excitedly. Shien even had the urge to try to run away.

“Here’s hoping that Mister Megis wont end up dying of fright when he gets back.”

Shien has already started worrying if Megis’ heart will be able to take it when he sees all this on his return.

Especially given the event that happened afterward.

“My apologies, but I have no need of servants, and even less for slaves. All I need is a master who I can serve.”

Lasha coldly declared to everyone surrounding her.

But that cold and emotionless look of hers not only failed t scare away anyone there, but it instead made even more people look at her with hearts in their eyes. It’s as if she had awoken some kind of fetish in them, and their screams started up once more.

Shien couldn’t bear to watch anymore.

“No, I have to get away.”

Otherwise, it felt like he might even get pulling in as it goes on.

Even Airi got woken up by the noise. She had one hand on her pillow with the other rubbing her eyes as she sleepily watched all this with bafflement.

“Who am I?”

“Where am I?”

“What’s going on here?”

Shien could practically see those questions hanging all over her head.

In the end, seeing that the uproar cannot be calmed, Airi finally ended up speechlessly tossing out a sentence.

“You should take her out from here.”

That’s how it is.

Although it feels like it might be dangerous to bring Lasha outside, if he were to let Lasha stay, then the people of the house might end up turning even more dangerous.

Given that, Shien hurriedly finished eating his breakfast before he grabbed Lasha’s hand and hurriedly escaped from the Latrard home.

“Onee-sama!”

“Lasha onee-sama!”

When he was leaving the residence, Shien could still faintly hear a number of sorrowful cries like that, giving him a hair-raising sensation all over his body.

Yet the source of all this merely quietly allowed Shien to drag her along. Her expressions were unchanged, keeping utterly calm as if all the commotions of the outside world had nothing to do with her.

Truth be told, Shien was nearly on the verge of prostrating before this woman.

“What completely normal weakling?”

She’s the real big shot who hid herself the deepest, unquestionably.

Afterwards, Shien didn’t have the courage to pull Lasha along to walk around the streets. Instead, they headed into an unfrequented side ally.

“Sigh…”

Shien sighed over and over as he walked along, all the while constantly glancing behind him.

There, Lasha followed closed followed behind Shien. She still had that same placid expression on her, and she still kept that same three paces worth of distance from him. The sheer precision of it was quite astounding.

Shien finally spoke up.

“You don’t actually need to go that far you know.” Shien said, “In the end, your master is still Leisha, not me. Nor is it anyone of house Latrard, so there’s no need for you to go through all that effort.”

Shien’s intent was to tell Lasha not to work so hard, so as to prevent her from exhausting herself or pushing herself too far.

Unbeknownst to him though…

“Effort?” Lasha however actually frowned as she looked at Shien, “This is a misunderstanding on your part.”

“Misunderstanding?” Shien stopped for a moment before asking, “What did I misunderstand?”

“Everywhere.” Lasha spoke placidly, “That much is something that can be completed within just an hour. It can’t actually be considered any effort on my part.”

Shien nearly tripped and faceplanted.

Is that for real?
