Chapter 1307 Waypoint Destabilizing

'They are nothing more than guard dogs. And to think this is the future they chose after betraying their people, pathetic,' Hao Xuan muttered inwardly before moving on.

The moment he stepped into the tunnel leading towards the center of the mountain a wave of extremely pure Yang energy hit him head-on.

The temperature alone was more than double here but the energy in the atmosphere was alive as it tried to dig into Hao Xuan's body through every open pore. At first he tried to block it but when a few specks broke through and combined with his Qi in complete harmony he immediately called it off.

And the deeper in he went the more pure the energy became.

Forty meters in and the entrance to the central chamber was already in sight. Hao Xuan paused to take a few deep breaths, feeling the heat circulating through his lungs before pouring into the bloodstream, which the cells hungrily devoured.

In fact it was to the point that a small whirlpool of orange energy was created as more and more of it was pulled towards him. Followed by a tingling sensation a few notifications popped up seconds later.

[Limb Regeneration Continued!]

[Standard Functions Attainable]

Hao Xuan undid the bindings from his right arm to check its condition. There was still a blue hue on its surface from the remnant foreign energy that could neither be expelled nor absorbed but aside from that he could use it like normal.

The only problem was that he would not be able to use any of his own Qi with it and as such it was only a little bit stronger than that of a normal human.

Where he could punch holes through steel bars with his left hand, the right hand could only make a dent before shattering into pieces.

'It's fine, at least I can use it normally,' he stretched a couple of times to get used to the feeling again before walking over to the entrance.

He looked all around to make sure there weren't any booby traps or hidden runes or arrays but couldn't find anything from his side. There was only a giant boulder blocking most of the entrance.

Fortunately there was enough space for him to squeeze through from the side without moving it out of the way entirely. He knew how strange this looked so before going in he activated the Chaos Law just in case.

'Very convenient but even if it's a trap I don't have much of a choice-'

Stepping into the chamber he was suddenly bombarded with enough Yang Energy to melt his skin off.

Hao Xuan immediately circulated the Chaos Qi to form a protective layer over his body which helped to a degree but it wouldn't last for more than 15 minutes at most. And the reason why became clear when he looked over the left to witness an unimaginable scene.

A giant golden silhouette with four wings was taking up most of the space in this 150-meter-wide chamber. It was basically a gigantic bird-shaped flame pecking at something in the corner.

'Feng Huang!'

Hao Xuan's pupils contracted upon seeing the man's expressionless face glancing in his direction for an instant before turning back to the small 4-meter wide bubble in front of him.

'He didn't see me? Does [Umbra] work even against the descendant of a divine beast? Or is it because I'm using it with the Chaos Law?'

Regardless, it was good news for him. He walked around to the side to get a better view of the bubble.

Ma Jiang and Zhurong were sitting inside, shaking and trembling from head to toe. Her little face was contorted from the pain while Zhurong couldn't even raise his head to look at him. All he could manage to do was open one eye upon sensing his presence before closing it again to conserve energy.

'Don't worry, I'm here,' Hao Xuan immediately conveyed a few words to him using Spiritual Sense before redirecting his attention towards Feng Huang.

'I need to kill him in one go. I won't take any chances.'

As his thoughts reached that point the four-leafed clover pattern on Hao Xuan's brain came to life.

[Warning!]

[Energy Disturbance Detected]

[Temporal Waypoint Created]

'Hng!'

The strain of using both [Umbra] and time manipulative ability was too much, reducing the effectiveness of both abilities if continued for an extended period.

'I can use it for less than 2 minutes,' Hao Xuan grumbled before pulling out a shortsword from the storage space and sprinting towards Feng Huang from the back.

*Slice*

*Cut*

*BOOOM*

*GAAASP*

Hao Xuan fell to his knees vomiting a mouthful of blood.

[Temporal Waypoint Destabilizing]

His eyes returned to their original form as both of the abilities came to a halt from overexertion. Feng Huang turned his head to look at the kneeling figure just a few meters away from him.

"You?"
