"No need, we brought quite a bit as well. We even have snacks, do you want some? They’re in the bag at the back, help yourself." Xu Yuxi said.
"No, no, food is very precious now. I’m not hungry yet." Zhang Qiang shook his head like a rattle-drum, "Sister Xu, if you get tired of driving, just let me know, I’ll take over for you."
"Alright, you sleep for a while first, I see your dark circles are quite heavy, you haven’t been sleeping well lately, have you?" Xu Yuxi had long noticed Zhang Qiang’s dark circles looking like smoky makeup. She and Zhou Shiqiu were fine, they had each other’s company, and with Xiao Lu around, they were prepared for the apocalypse. But Zhang Qiang was different, alone, the fear and anxiety in his heart were imaginable. He probably hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in a long time.
"Then I’ll sleep for a bit, thank you, Sister Xu." Zhang Qiang gave a smile, sincerely thanked her, then leaned back into the seat and fell asleep in less than half a minute, soon softly snoring.

"It’s him, huh? You also said he’s really good at gaming." Zhou Shiqiu was a bit surprised, glanced back at the deeply sleeping Zhang Qiang, "Can’t tell at all, he seems quite optimistic."
"I don’t know either. Maybe he’s pretending? Or maybe it’s true." Xu Yuxi continued driving out of the neighborhood. The electric retracting gate of the neighborhood had long been pushed to the sides, and there were dried, darkened bloodstains outside the security hut. Who knows what happened here.
"The navigation being down is really inconvenient. We’ll have to use the map now." Zhou Shiqiu took out the map and started checking it, "First, we pass through the city, get on the highway from this west road, then get off at this exit, go through here, and loop back onto another highway."
"Okay, you guide the way, I’m familiar with the city, I’ll get us through it first." Xu Yuxi nodded.
The city was already desolate, abandoned vehicles were scattered along the road, some cars even had darkened blood stains on them.
"Yuxi, look at that car." Zhou Shiqiu suddenly pointed to a car by the roadside.
Xu Yuxi looked over, her face slightly changed. The car was slightly shaking, with two zombies in horrific condition bumping around in the driver’s and passenger’s seats. Apparently, the two zombies couldn’t get out of the car, which was locked, so they could only crash around inside. Who knows how long they’d been trapped, and whether the passenger bit the driver, or if the driver bit the passenger.
The streets had all sorts of litter, and occasionally there would be darkened bloodstains. As they drove further, some stiffly wandering zombies began to appear on the streets.
