Chapter 311: Chapter 18: The Elf Prince’s Wish

Three days later, after the official registration, school began.

There are classes that teach theoretical knowledge. Students can choose to attend if they want, or go to the library for self-study. As long as they graduate successfully in the end, that’s fine. Otherwise, if they do not meet the graduation standards, they will be stuck at the academy. Of course, it’s not free to stay; tuition will increase every year. Otherwise, why would anyone treat this place like a refuge?

Tianmiao did not attend classes but went to the library by herself to browse books.

She flipped through the history of this world, which is the history of this continent. Tianmiao was absorbed in reading and finally stopped at the section introducing the various races of this continent.

The most populous species on this continent are humans, whose abilities vary widely. The Dragon Clan and the Elf Clan are naturally magical races, and the Mermaid Clan also has an innate ability to perform magic, specifically water magic.

It’s quite similar to the Merfolk Clan of the East. Both have a human upper body and a fish tail, they all love to bathe in moonlight and sing, and they all know water magic.

Tianmiao turned the page and saw the introduction of the Elf Clan. Elves are divided into several types, but the most powerful and numerous are the Light Elves, which is Dean’s clan. There are also many other branches of elves.

As Tianmiao was studying this section, a shadow appeared on the book page. Tianmiao looked up and met a pair of beautiful emerald green eyes.

It was Dean.

"If you want to know about the Elf Clan, you can ask me." Dean’s voice was cool and clear.

Tianmiao closed the book, put it back in place, and turned to look at Dean: "Can I?"

"Yes." Dean said and then walked outside, Tianmiao followed him.

After the two left the library, they walked to a bench by the roadside and sat down.

"The White Elves, which is our clan, actually number quite few, possibly less than ten thousand. We live in the Elf Forest, which has a barrier. Other races cannot enter it. We have a Tree of Life that possesses great life force. It is said that it was bestowed upon us by God. We worship the Elf God." Dean explained the White Elf Clan to Tianmiao slowly.

"The Elf God also advocates peace and light. That’s why we White Elves belong to the Light Camp." Dean added, then turned to Tianmiao, "I know all the races on this continent."

Tianmiao tilted her head slightly, smiled at Dean: "But the only thing you don’t know is what race I am, right?"

"Yes. Who are you?" Dean asked the question again.

"Do you want to know?" Tianmiao chuckled, her laughter ethereal, like feathers brushing against the heart, causing an itchy feeling.

The little white cat on Tianmiao’s shoulder fluffed up again.

Dean nodded gently: "I do."

"But, I don’t want to tell you." Tianmiao smiled again, said this, got up, and walked away.

The little white cat smoothed its fur, meowed twice, rubbed its small head against Tianmiao’s cheek, and then turned provocatively to look at Dean behind.

Dean was stunned, sitting in place, watching Tianmiao’s departing figure in a daze, not reacting for a while.

Just now, what did Tianmiao say?

He had explained everything, thinking Tianmiao would be frank in return. But he never expected Tianmiao to say such a thing.

Observing Tianmiao and Xia Chuanyue’s interactions these past two days, he thought Tianmiao was a friendly and easy-going race.

But it seemed that was his illusion.

Why did he foolishly think so?

When Tianmiao appeared at the trading post dragging a giant dragon head, he should have known that this black-haired, black-eyed girl was not as gentle and innocent as she appeared.
