The Cursed Triplet Alphas' Fated Mate-Chapter 26: Landon
Chapter 26: 26: Landon
Landon’s pov
Fucking hell.
I guess this means we’re really fucked. Like, completely and utterly fucked.
We tried finding loopholes in the rule that said if a prince doesn’t ascend the throne before thirty years, then it would be passed on to the one next in line. But there was none at all, except Hugo.
"What if you consult with the council members? They should be able to find a way around it." Damon snapped as he massaged his forehead. Our father, who’s already used to Damon’s moodiness, barely batted an eye.
"There’s no way. I already searched for one." He responded and I snorted underneath my breath because I knew that was a big ass lie.
You see, our father never wanted us to find out fated mate, and I was certain as a reigning king, he could change this stupid rule, but he chose not to—- because he know we’d never want the throne to be given to fucking Hugo, so we’d end up giving in to what he wanted from the very onset— which is to get married to our betrothed brides.
"As a king, you can charge this damn rule." Angelo pointed out while holding our father’s gaze unflinchingly.
Our father leisurely poured himself a drink and took a long sip before responding. "I can’t just change rules whenever I want just because I’m a king. Once you’re king— if you ever become one, then you’ll understand."
I didn’t bother stifling my scoff this time.

We were all feeling gloomy as we exited the throne room. My lips were in a thin line, my hands pocketed as I walked beside my brothers.
Anger was gripping me tightly on the inside and that’s the exact moment Gina, my betrothed bride, ran into my arms.
"Landon, oh my gods!" She cried out excitedly as a scowl formed on my face then I was shaking her off and trying to back away. My brothers weren’t waiting for me, they already resumed walking, leaving me behind the face my fate.
"Why are you being so mean to me?" She cried out as she tried to grab my arm again but I shook her off like an annoying animal again, making me groan from frustration.
"We’re literally getting married in a few weeks, why are you being so difficult?!" She demanded angrily but I only rolled my eyes in irritation before walking past her. When she cried out and grabbed my arm, I let out a long sigh of frustration.
"What is your problem?" I demanded angrily as I shook her off again.
"I... since we’d be getting married, I was thinking we could invite..."
I held a hand up and cut her off.
"We’re not getting married, Gina."
Her brows furrowed as she blinked slowly. "But you father said..:"
"He was wrong." I informed her and she flinched before sighing and flicking her hair.
"Well, I don’t believe you! I think the king was right and he’s not one to say what he doesn’t mean." She snapped before continuing. "I can also tell that you’re desperately looking for means to put an end to the plan, to avoid the wedding from happening."
"After all, this would be your biggest nightmare, you being married to me. But the thing is, you’re the one making it seem this way. It could be like a fairytale come true for the two of us. We’re a perfect fit, a perfect match, why are you just so damn difficult?" Her voice was tinged with so much frustration at the end of her sentence and I let iut a sigh as scrubbed a hand over my face.
The thing I’d give to not be here right now...
"Are you done with your rambles? You’re giving me a headache." I informed her and she spluttered in outrage and disbelief for a few seconds. It was clear that it still baffled her that there are men out there who’d reject her because she always had men falling at her hands and feet.
An angry expression settled across her face this time when she spoke. "Whether you like it or not, we’ll get together no matter what, you’ll have no choice but to..."
She was still speaking when I grabbed her throat snd jerked her forward. Her eyes widened as her eyes flew wide at the unexpectedness of that action, then I spoke in a low voice.
"Watch your mouth, Gina."
After saying those words, when I dropped my hand, she was breathing really hard and gaping up at me. Without waiting behind a moment longer, I resumed walking and this time, she knew better than to try to stop me.
Gina and I attended highschool tonight. Gina was the most popular girl back then, and all the boys that couldn’t get her, wanted her. She wanted my brothers and I, but we never paid her any attention.
At a party one time, I fell into bed with her, then it happened a few more times.
Since then, she refused to stop obsessing over me.
I was very certain that when she discovered the news of our betrothal, that she was the happiest girl on earth. Unlike me who is literally so dejected from sadness that I refused to eat for almost three days. Knowing that she was betrothed to me, when I was still in highschool, was so terrible because at least half of the school had slept with her.
I let out a sigh, scrubbing a hand across my face as I made my way into the north wing. As soon as I stepped in, the first person I noticed was Sue.
It was like she had magnets glued all over her body, because she literally pulled on my attention without realizing it, but she had it just fine. She was crouched low beside Damon’s kid, caressing him across the hair and he was grinning brightly at her like he really liked her. She kissed his head before waving him goodbye and walking up the stairs in the same dress she had on back at the ball, that enhanced her shape which I once thought was nonexistent, but could I have been so wrong, because it ended up being the complete opposite.
Her ass swayed as she walked and they looked very juicy in this silver dress.
At that moment, I felt my mouth water, then I wondered how she’d taste on my tongue.
